Bug Leaves For Hong Kong!
After weeks of preparation and personal torture, local attorney Christine 'The Bug' Williams has departed for Hong Kong on an extended business trip.

Once a crusader for the poor and downtrodden, the Bug received an emotional hug from law partner Michael Baldwin who at the last moment had rushed to the Bug's apartment with an important file folder.

Earlier, Baldwin denied having anything more than the Bug's happiness in mind when Newman Enterprises Webmaster Phyllis Summers suggested that with the Bug's impending departure, he might be in mourning.

When Baldwin saw that the Bug would be leaving town alone a surge of lustful adrenaline washed over him.

After accepting Baldwin's offer to drive her to Genoa City's International Airport, the Bug took a final look around her apartment. With tears welling, the Bug wondered if she would ever see the apartment or her clueless husband again.

Beyond Call Of Duty
On assignment in Hong Kong, one of Genoa City's top lawyers, Christine 'The Bug' Williams, has announced a change in schedule will prevent her from returning to the mini-megalopolis anytime soon.

Learning of the delay, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams questioned whether his wife really wants to come home since she hasn’t invited him to visit her even though she has had a visit from law partner Michael Baldwin.

Snippy Mr. Williams has instructed the Bug to let him know when and if she feels like providing more specific information about her return.

Upon learning the man she hired to find out why her life may be in danger is having marital problems Isabella Brana was expeditious in letting Williams know that his marriage is much like her own. In denial, and willing to cry on the shoulder of a total stranger and client no less, Williams pointed out he and his wife have always been honest with each other but after some reflection agreed his marriage and Brana’s are similar.

In a bizarre display of empty-headedness , Williams whined how much what appears to be another failed marriage "hurts" and received an act of compassion from Brana in the form of a warm hug.

Bug In Demand
The law office of Baldwin & Williams has announced the legal services of Christine 'Bug' Williams are unlikely to be available to local Genoa City residents for at least another six months. Currently in Hong Kong, it had been hoped Mrs. Williams would return soon to help the poor and downtrodden. However, word about the Bug's remarkable legal accomplishments has reached Australia. A firm on that island nation has written B&W seeking the Bug's assistance. Attorney Michael Baldwin is seriously considering the proposal.

Bug Delivers Ray of Hope!
Genoa City isn't what it used to be. Gone are the days when when people like Jill Abbott ruled Jabot employees and the men in her life with an iron fist. Gone are the days when Jack Abbott was a force Victor Newman had to reckon with. So too are the days when Christine Romalotti Williams fought fang and claw in defense of the poor and downtrodden.

The legal community was in awe as the woman, dubbed the 'crusader bug', won every single legal case she humbly agreed to take on. During Williams' stint at Legal Aid even those not entitled to such services were bowled over when the Bug defended them or handed out free legal advice. The Bug quickly climbed to the top of Genoa City's most hated list. Her know it all, 'pristine Christine', 'I know the law', don't mess with me or you will rue the day attitude made many want to grab the critter around the neck and squeeze until her lifeless body slithered into the nearest sewer.

When Phyllis Romalotti set out to kill the Bug many people prayed for her. Unfortunately, even Mrs. Romalotti was no match for the creature from the dark lagoon. But a ray of hope spread over the city when word filtered down of the Bug's impending departure. It didn't happen overnight, but the day did come when the Bug flew off to Hong Kong rarely to be seen again.

At first, things in Genoa City seemed peaceful enough. With the Bug gone the only person beating his chest King Kong style was the great Victor Newman. Self-serving as always, Newman's tirades were simply obnoxious and easy tolerated. Others in Genoa City during this period were being their idiotic selves. As Sharon Newman and other women sniveled over their crisis of the month, other adults were being goofy while adolescents and teenagers were dealing with puberty.

Truly, it was a dull time in the mini-megalopolis with the streets being rolled up at night and the fast forward keys on remote controls rapidly wearing out.

Things perked up when detective Paul Williams took on the Brana case and subsequently fell in love with his female client. Although his wife had been out of town for only a few months Clueless blamed his indiscretion on loneliness. Even his hypocritical mother condoned the activity.

As Clueless prepared to hump Brana, on the sofa he and his wife had spent many a romantic interlude together, he didn't hear the key slipping into the lock and his front door opening.

Never have Bug haters been so overjoyed to see the critter! The Bug is back and there could be hell to pay!

Creepy crawler lashes out!
by GCNEWS Staff

The return to Genoa City of Christine 'Bug' Williams has turned out not to be the somber event for mourning the dearly departed as it should have been.

After attending the Ryan McNeil funeral, the Bug slithered out to the Newman ranch where it participated in a reception for those close to the dead man. Like the funeral, the event should have been an empathic affair. But the Bug's mere presence seemed to bring out the worst in some people.

Always eager to stick her nose where it doesn't belong, Clueless Detective and Alarm Company manager, Lynne 'Yes-Boss' Bassett began prying into the Bug's personal life and was immediately told by the Bug to mind her own business.

Concerned one book author Nina Webster may have not told her son about the death of the man he called daddy, pillar of the community Katherine Sterling inquired as to what the Bug knew about the subject and was immediately told not to meddle. Sterling's response for being told to shove it up her butt was to reward the Bug with a place to stay for the remainder of her visit.

The chip on the Bug's shoulder was clearly evident and hardly warranted but her rudeness was not out of character for a creature that once proclaimed, "Let this be a lesson to anyone who tried to mess with me. I'm invincible."

The end of the line!
A relationship that should have never begun has come to an end. Officially divorced, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams made it official Friday that there is no hope for any kind of reconciliation.

Christine 'Bug' Williams sited her former husband's untrustworthiness when the private detective claimed he hasn't recently seen the woman he committed adultery with.

Mrs. Williams was dumbfounded because moments before meeting with the detective at a local coffee shop by day, club for all ages by night, she saw the woman in question, Ms. Izzy Brana.

"I’m sure [it was her] even though the last time I saw her she was on her back," Mrs. Williams seethed.

The Bug's skepticism was justified based on the fact that shortly after her arrival in Genoa City she had seen Brana. But her husband, supposedly a private detective living in the city, claimed not to have seen Brana in weeks. It simply didn't add it.

Confronted with the reality, Mr. Williams told the former love of his life there was nothing more to discuss, left his former wife in a huff and upon returning alone to his office told co-workers and his mother that the Bug is gone.

Mrs. Williams was last seen leaving for Genoa City International airport headed for parts unknown.

Bug Question Deemed Outrageous!
(New Mexico) -- During a meeting with the great Victor Newman, the crusader Bug licked the great man's boots and profusely thanked him for the recent trip to Hawaii where the Bug attended a seminar on corporate takeovers. "It was an incredible experience" the Bug squealed before getting down to the business at hand.

While not having any experience in real estate or contractual law, the Bug was shuttled to New Mexico where the creature learned Newman is buying land for Ramona Caceres, the woman who saved his life last year while he was being help captive by a madman. Flipping through the contract, the Bug rattled off a few suggestions Newman should make to it. A local developer wanted to build a shopping center on the land but miraculously, Newman swooped in at the last moment and determined the land would be best maintained for the growing of herbs which will "help mankind."

Newman has no genuine interest in mankind but the story isn't so much about Newman's land deal or his lack of concern with mankind as it is about why he would ask a Legal Aid attorney for contract opinions and why Newman didn't slap the creepy Bug for asking "did your long stay here have a personal aspect? Are you involved with this woman?" The Bug has some nerve! What business of the Bug's would it be if Newman was involved with a woman?

Whether Newman was foolish enough to tell the Bug anything about his personal life wasn't immediately known. The Bug has proven once again that besides being the biggest joke the law community has ever seen, it is a self-righteous, egotistical slug!

Bug Will Accept Offer!
Legal Aid lawyer, Christine 'the Bug' Williams, appeared troubled and torn as the words of attorney Michael Baldwin raged in the Bug's head. "Opportunity of a lifetime - partners - give it serious thought." The Bug wanted to tell husband Paul 'Clueless' Williams she is about to accept the offer but Clueless was too busy at the Genoa City auto parts store looking at video tapes.

March 2000

Bug Leaves Legal Aid
There was no fan fare, no fireworks. Only the secretary bid Christine 'the Bug' Williams farewell and remarked Mrs. Williams was the only Legal Aid lawyer to have ever given a damn about the poor and downtrodden. "I hope I'm not making a mistake", the Bug said aloud. "You're not. Believe me, you're not", new law partner Michael Baldwin said as he walked in to help the Bug move.

April 2000

Bug Agrees, Ethics Important!
In what could go down in the history books as a first, attorney Christine 'the Bug' Williams has agreed with law partner Michael Baldwin, not to become involved in legal matters which could be construed as a conflict of interest. To that end, the Bug has recused itself from the stalker case and promised not to provide Sharon Newman with further legal advice where the Viscardi death is concerned.

May 2000

Lawyer Receives Warning Reminder
(Williams & Baldwin) -- Fearful his new law partner might send him to purgatory after he was seen having a conversation with Diane Jenkins, attorney Michael Baldwin kowtowed to Christine 'the Bug' Williams. He wasn't' giving out legal advice to the former Mrs. Newman and would never do anything to jeopardize his relationship with Genoa City's greatest lawyer. The Bug warned Baldwin again not to "cross the line" because there are "no second chances. Is that clear?" And, if Baldwin fails to heed the Bug's warning, there will be hell to pay.

Legal Aid Secretary Jumps Ship!
(Williams & Baldwin) -- The thrill of working at Genoa City's Legal Aid lost its luster when Christine "The Bug" Williams left the organization to join in private practice with hot-shot attorney Michael Baldwin. That's how Gail Wallace, until recently a secretary at Legal Aid, explained her presence Tuesday at the law offices of Williams & Baldwin. "It was a last minute thing. I gave up nearly twenty years of service at Legal Aid and my pension but working for Mrs. Williams will make it all worthwhile", a smiling Wallace said apparently pleased to be working again as the Bug's personal secretary.

Williams & Baldwin Take Hacker Case!
(Law Offices) -- The law office of Williams & Baldwin has announced it has taken the case of Alex Templeton McGuire. As a young computer geek, McGuire hacked into computer systems, got busted and later turned his life around. In an act of good faith, McGuire wrote what some experts termed a "foolproof security program" which was eventually sold for $300-million dollars to Arcametric Systems without McGuire's permission. Now, McGuire seeks retribution. "The case means big fees and will enhance this firms reputation", attorney Michael Baldwin told the Genoa City News.

However, associate partner Christine 'the Bug' Williams wasn't as pleased with the case. "We're way too small to be taking a case of this magnitude", the Bug stated. "Mr. Baldwin took this case without consulting me first and I don't much like his smugness."

"If Ms. Williams would spend more time at the office instead of running around town on company time giving history lessons to people like Tomas del Cerro and slurping coffee with those Newman's I might be able to consult with her", Baldwin retorted.

Ungrateful, Newman's Dismiss Bug!
(Newman Rocks) -- Attorney Christine 'the Bug' Williams was shocked Wednesday when Sharon Newman dismissed William's services as the family lawyer. "I don't understand it. Just because I've made a decision to work with Michael Baldwin all of a sudden they don't want me around? After all the free Legal Aid services I've given them in the past? It's a slap in the face. An insult!", Mrs. Williams grumbled as she stormed out of Genoa City's college coffee shop by day, club for all ages by night, Newman Rocks.

"This partnership with Michael Baldwin has changed the way I see her. I won't have Mr. Baldwin anywhere near my daughter," Mrs. Newman said confirming her intention to have Genoa City's all-purpose lawyer, John Silva, handle the adoption of Cassie 'the orphan kid' Johnson.

In a related development, Nick Newman burst unannounced into the law offices of Williams & Baldwin here Wednesday demanding Michael Baldwin have no contact with Cassie Johnson's adoptive mother, Alice. After making an ass of himself, Newman asked, "Have you got that?"

Later, Newman returned to his coffee shop where he told his wife what a tough guy he is. "I kept my cool and didn't rip his [Baldwin] head off but I did make it clear he is not to talk to Alice Johnson and that John Silva will handle the adoption case." Nodding her empty head in agreement, Mrs. Newman added she thinks Michael Baldwin is, "A dangerous man."

BUG WILL HAVE BABY, WARNS PARTNER!
(Baldwin & Williams) --Attorney Michael Baldwin was bewildered and horrified Wednesday after learning his partner, Christine 'the Bug' Williams plans to start a family.

"I thought she was dedicated to making this firm a success. I can't understand her logic," Baldwin told reporters.

"I am dedicated to this firm. I shared personal information with Mr. Baldwin. If I do have a baby it's a year off. My maternity leave would be my normal vacation time," the Bug said.

"It’s the image we project that’s important if we expect to be a top notch firm. It’s the timing that’s off. Mrs. Williams will be at the perfect age to have a child for several more years. There is still time," Baldwin insisted.

"I'm outraged that Mr. Baldwin would even try to get into a personal matter. I can always go back to Legal Aid where my pregnancy wouldn’t even be questioned. I will fulfill my obligations to this firm. End of story. I'm warning Mr. Baldwin. Fight me on this pregnancy and he’ll be sorry" the Bug said.

HACKER CASE STALLS OUT!
(Law Offices) -- The law office of Williams & Baldwin announced on May 22, 2000, it had taken the case of Alex Templeton McGuire. As a young computer geek, McGuire hacked into computer systems, got busted and later turned his life around. In an act of good faith, McGuire wrote what some experts termed a "foolproof security program" which was eventually sold for $300-million dollars to Arcametric Systems without McGuire's permission. In May, McGuire sought retribution.

"The case means big fees and will enhance this firms reputation", attorney Michael Baldwin told the Genoa City News.

Associate partner Christine 'the Bug' Williams wasn't as pleased with the case. "We're way too small to be taking a case of this magnitude", the Bug stated. "Mr. Baldwin took this case without consulting me first and I don't much like his smugness."

Since the two lawyer have continued to bicker amongst themselves the hacker case has not moved forward and it's unclear if it ever will.

CASE TOO BIG FOR BUG?
(Law Offices) -- Attorneys Michael Baldwin and Christine 'The Bug' Williams engaged in a verbal battle here Monday over the relatively unknown Field case.

"l suggested we flip a coin and the winner could do it alone," Baldwin told the Genoa City News but law partner Williams was opposed. "This [case] is too big for one person to do alone." However, just a few days ago the Bug stated, "We're way too small to be taking a case of this magnitude" with regard to the computer hacker case which has yet to develop.

The Bug's declaration may be a first. During her short career, the Bug has always fought alone for the poor and downtrodden. In 1993, the Bug won a landmark decision in infamous Rainbow Towers case when she crusaded for the rights of senior citizens who were being forced out of their homes. When verbal threats toward the land developer didn't work the Bug discovered the apartment building was built by a Civil War hero related to none other than Phillip Chancellor.

A court later ruled the building a historical landmark and the tenants were spared. "I told them [the tenants] I wouldn't let anything happen and I kept my word. Let this be a lesson to anyone else who tries to mess with me. I take my job seriously. I'm invincible. God was on my side," the Bug said.

As far as the Field case, Baldwin and William's have agreed to work together - for now. "We need to look at where we stand with our partnership when this is over," the Bug seethed.

"I feel a zeal for the law I never get anywhere else. It's frustrating to think it may be slipping away," Baldwin added.

Bug  Birthday Panic!
On the birthday (Sep) of detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams, Christine 'the bug' Williams, appeared to be a nervous wreck when she slithered into the apartment of confidant Nina Webster Wednesday to sputter she hasn't been able to tell her husband that the idea of having a baby bug is becoming repulsive.

The Bug wanted Webster's guidance before giving Clueless the news but all Webster had to offer was a suggestion the Bug should make its own decisions.

Frustrated, the Bug told a tired looking Clueless,  allegedly up all night on a stakeout, the time had come to take a pregnancy test. Moments after a quick pee the Bug's eyes bulged out.

November 2000

Bug Swan Song?
The Genoa City News has learned attorney Christine 'the Bug' Williams will soon travel to Hong Kong on an important legal matter.

The law firm of Baldwin & Williams already has its hands full with unresolved cases, most notably, the so-called 'computer hacker' case, which have never fully developed.

Nevertheless, the Bug appears ready to travel alone overseas sometime in December.

Love Boat Plan Sinks!
Local attorney Christine 'The Bug' Williams has made plans via a website for what was termed a 'Christmas cruise' she intends to sail on after Christmas for eight days and seven nights with husband and local detective, Paul 'Clueless' Williams.

"I want to take Paul on a Christmas cruise so we can have some time alone together," Mrs. Williams said.

The plan was immediately scuttled by detective Clueless who had a plan of his own at the St. Geneve Inn, a luxurious lodge near Devil’s Lake.

"This is a family time. I want to do things with my mother. A cruise isn’t going to happen," the super-sleuth said.

The Williams couple have been plagued recently by marital problems stemming from Mr. Williams desire for a baby and Mrs. Williams opposition.

It's About Family!
Genoa City's notorious meddling mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Williams, grilled soon to be published author, Nina Webster, here Monday for information about her daughter-in-law, local attorney Christine 'The Bug' Williams.

Williams tried to ascertain whether the Bug has changed her mind about blessing her son, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams, with a baby. "This is a decision Chris and Paul will have to make," is all Webster would say.

Mrs. Williams continued blasting attorney Michael Baldwin as the person responsible for her daughter-in-law's decision to focus on a law career instead of having a baby. Additionally, Mrs. Williams feels the only way to get what she wants is to have family and friends intercede to undo the damage Baldwin has done.

In a related development, detective Clueless has refused to go on a romantic Christmas cruise alone with his wife. Clueless said he and his wife need to stay close to his mother's bosom. Clueless is certain doing so will help his wife and mother mend fences. "This isn’t about my mother. It's about family," Clueless said.

Bug Won't Quit!
Local attorney Christine 'The Bug' Williams has made it clear she won't give up on her marriage to detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams without a fight.

The Bug recently attempted to have Clueless go away on a Christmas cruise only to have the detective say they need to remain close to his mother, Mrs. Mary Williams.

Within moments of having been dejected, the Bug turned right around and suggested Clueless go with her on a business trip to Hong Kong. Why the Bug would think her husband would say no to a cruise but yes to a plane ride remains unclear.

In his warped way of thinking, Clueless is certain the key to saving his marriage is to have his wife and mother "mend" their broken fences.

The marriage haggle came to head as Mary Williams continued driving a wedge between the once happily married dynamic-duo. The meddling mother-in-law has pressured her son to come up with a baby so she might play granny even though she has a granddaughter she never sees or contacts.

Likewise, Clueless never contacts his daughter Heather but remains intent on having another baby he can eventually ignore.

Bug Claims Victory!
As the country waited for an answer as to whether or not detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams would go with his wife to Hong Kong on a business trip, Christine 'The Bug' Williams has announced the super-sleuth has agreed to travel.

"He'll go with me!" is all the Bug would squeal when asked to confirm the report.

Mr. Williams could not be reached directly for comment but his puppy dog secretary, Lynne 'Yes-Boss' Bassett, told the Genoa City News, "I'm very prepared to run this company for my boss. The boss has gone away before and knows I am very capable. Boss has nothing to worry about. Of course, other than the freebie he gave to the Newman family, the boss hasn't had a case all year. Gee, now that I think about it the boss hasn't installed any alarms systems either."

Hong Kong Trip On!
Determined a three month all expenses paid trip to Hong Kong with her husband will help save their marriage, local attorney Christine 'The Bug' Williams made final preparations Tuesday to get out of town as soon as possible.

A last ditch attempt to thwart the trip by Williams' mother-in-law, Mary Williams, apparently failed when Mrs. Williams pressed Bug law partner Michael Baldwin to talk the Bug out of going or at the very least, go alone.

The Williams' marriage recently became strained when detective Paul Williams learned his wife would not be having the one thing his mother wants before she dies - a granddaughter.

Nothing Will Stop Bug!
The law office of Baldwin & Williams announced Thursday it has been selected to represent an important legal case in Hong Kong after an apparent shortage of lawyers in Hong Kong caused a major business to look to Genoa City, Wisconsin for legal representation.

B&W employees were said to be overjoyed and crusading attorney, Christine 'The Bug' Williams, representing the firm single-handedly, announced she and her husband, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams will depart for Hong Kong after the Christmas holiday.

Concerned the trip may ruin his partner's marriage, attorney Michael Baldwin gave the Bug one final chance to bow out. "I don’t make professional decisions based on my personal life only. I can handle this," the Bug squealed.

In a related development, socialite Diane Jenkins has given her personal butt wiper, Marissa Barton, permission to work at the Clueless Detective & Alarm Company on a part-time basis. Barton will answer telephones and take messages while office administrator, Lynne 'Yes-Boss' Bassett will handle the company's alarm systems division.

BUG JOINS OTHERS IN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT OPENING!
Christine 'The Bug' Williams made a fatal mistake Friday when she agreed to honor a wish of her husband, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams. With his mother Mary present at Williams apartment, Clueless asked his wife to open one Christmas present early because it was a bad habit he got into as a kid.

Apparently the habit has spread throughout Genoa City because almost everyone in this silly city opens gifts before Christmas day.

The Bug, not wanting to give Clueless any reason to change his mind about going to Hong Kong, carefully began pulling a pink bow from one of the presents Mrs. Williams had delivered.

The gift open, the Bug lifted out a maternity dress. The dress was a direct reference to a baby Mrs. Williams has been begging the Bug to have against her will. "Mary, how could you do this to me?" the Bug snarled.

Bug Takes Another Hit!
It hasn't been a good year for local attorney Christine Williams.

Dubbed years ago by the Genoa City News as 'The Bug' for being a crusading self-righteous little goodie two-shoes, Mrs. Williams began changing her ways this past year.

She did dictate a bit to law partner Michael Baldwin and whined once too often to pal Nina Webster but other than needing a good slap upside the head, for not once telling her husband and mother-in-law if they wanted a baby so much to go visit Heather Lynch, the Bug's days of saving the world have long since passed.

It has been Mrs. Williams who has had her life disrupted this year. She has been the victim of mother-in-law meddling and berated by her own husband for refusing to have a baby and pursuing a career.

Once Genoa City's hottest stud muffin, Mrs. Williams spouse, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams has turned into a whimpering mama's boy who hasn't solved a case since the Cassandra Rawlins affair and delivered his wife another defeating blow on Friday when he announced he would not be going to Hong Kong.

While Mrs. Williams appears willing to do whatever it takes to save her marriage, the best thing the Bug can do at this point would be to go to Hong Kong and once settled in send Clueless his walking papers.

Meddling Mother Blasts Bug!
Mrs. Mary Williams blasted her daughter-in-law here Thursday for being "disingenuous."

Mrs. Williams had planned to go with Christine 'the Bug' Williams to visit a local museum but after what happened Christmas changed her mind.

"There are so many significant things you don’t do for Paul [Williams]. Why bother about a museum trip with your mother-in-law?," Mrs. Williams fired away making sure to point out that the Bug may have contributed to her own marriage problems.

"If Christine looks in her heart she will know it is the difference between my son and herself that are really at fault. Now that the [Hong Kong] trip is on for sure I’ll pray everyday that their marriage is healed and things get back to the way there were," Mrs. Williams said as if it would be the last time she ever sees the Bug.

Bug Won't Give Up!
Christine 'The Bug" Williams has announced for the umpteenth time she intends to get pregnant and will do everything in her power to save her marriage while away on a trip to Hong Kong with her husband, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams.

In a related development, Clueless informed rarely seen attorney John Silva he intends to accompany his wife on the trip. Silva assured Clueless his wife is, "Bright and strong. If anyone can pull off taking care of business and personal life at same time she can."

BUG CATCHES HELL!
Christine 'The Bug' Williams blasted her mother-in-law here Tuesday for giving her a maternity dress for Christmas.

"How could you hurt me like this? Stop meddling in our lives! Having a child is our decision," the Bug squealed

"I didn’t give that to you," poor Mary Williams sputtered until the Bug's husband, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams, interrupted the berating to say he saw the dress in a shop window when it was thought the Bug might be pregnant.

"It was in closet with other wrapped gifts. I forgot about it. Sorry for the mistake," Clueless said

The Bug offered an apology to Mrs. Williams but dejected, the old woman went home.

Clueless blasted his wife for calling his mother a meddler and accused the Bug of being self-centered.

"You’re just plain selfish! This all started back when you decided to be Michael Baldwin’s partner over my strong objections. I’m through giving in to you and tagging along behind," Clueless bellowed causing the Bug to break down in tears.

"We need to talk about our marriage," the Bug insisted but her pleas fell on deaf ears as Clueless headed out the door.

Bug Free Legal Aid?
(Genoa City) -- Rumors are flying around the water cooler at Genoa City's Legal Aid Center regarding the possible loss of Christine "the Bug" Williams. "We're really going to miss Cricket if the rumor is true. She's done so much to help those in need" employees chattered among themselves as hot gossip about the attorney's possible departure hit the street. An almost identical buzz around Newman Enterprises seemed to confirm the news. When Christine Williams returns from Hawaii she is expected to begin working full time for Victor Newman. Not expected back from Honolulu until the first of November, Mrs. Williams could not be reached for comment.

Crusader Bug Returns!
(Honolulu, HI) -- The crusader Bug, wrapping up a 90-day symposium on corporate takeovers, reports it plans to slither back into Genoa City during the first week in November! "I've learned so much during my time here. The symposium was fantastic! Nobody better mess with Victor Newman with me on his side after what I've learned" the Bug told the Genoa City News in a telephone interview. "Yes, at this point I plan to resume my Legal Aid duties but that doesn't mean I won't be ready to jump on any crusade that might come my way. I've always fought for the rights of the downtrodden and nothing has changed. Hawaii is a nice place but the traffic here is crazy and all those tall concrete buildings take away from the beauty. I can't wait to get back to Genoa City. See you around the first of November!" the Bug added.

November 1999

Crusader Bug Returns, Safe, Sound?
(Genoa City Airport) -- Right on schedule, the all-knowing, all-seeing crusader of the rich and downtrodden, arrived at the Genoa City airport. As Mrs. Christine 'Bug' Williams stepped off the flight from Honolulu reporters flocked to ask their questions. What is it like to be back in Genoa City? What will be the next major legal case? Why do you look so pale after being in Hawaii all this time? "Sorry guys, it's been a long trip and I just want to get home. No questions please" is all the Bug would say as she slipped away into a waiting limousine. A GCNews stringer, staked out at the Williams apartment reported the Bug "looks so white. She was loaded down with packages and then made two telephone calls." One of those calls was placed to the Clueless Detective and Alarm Company where the Bug had hoped to reach husband Paul Williams. Unfortunately, Williams was in Hawaii at the time looking for the Bug and all the Bug got was a recording. Not surprisingly, Clueless does not employ an answering service which could have told the Bug where her husband is. In addition, Clueless apparently does not carry a pager or cellular telephone.

The other phone call was place to Nina Webster who zoomed to the Bug's apartment with flowers in hand. After some chit-chat, Webster left. "She doesn't look changed to me" is all Webster took the time to say. Another telephone conversation inside the apartment was with Detective Clueless who had managed to find out the Bug was back in Genoa City.
