CAFE OWNER RUDE TO CUSTOMERS
(RoadKill Cafe) -- Like so many times in the past, RoadKill Cafe owner Gina Roma went out of her way here Friday to be extremely rude to two of her customers.

"You two were meant for each other," Roma grumbled when web master Phyllis Summers walked into the joint and told Roma she wanted to join attorney Michael Baldwin at his table.

As Summers sat down, Roma continued to belittle Summers by literally throwing a menu at her.

"I wonder if she poisons the food," Summers quipped but neither Baldwin nor Summers would say why they continue to patronize an establishment where they clearly are not wanted.

Short Order Cooking!
Genoa City's infamous RoadKill Cafe restaurant has proved once again nothing is too good for its loyal customers.

RoadKill owner, Gina Roma, received a telephone call Monday from long-time customer, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams, requesting a special meal.

Excited to be celebrating another birthday and making a long-awaited announcement which should stop his mother from pestering him about having a grandchild, Williams at almost the last moment developed a hankering for Torta alla Pasqualina.

"We know Mr. Williams, his lovely wife and mother Mary are planning a birthday celebration here so it's really not a problem. We do it all the time," Roma told the Genoa City News when asked how it was possible to order Spanish/Mexican food not on the menu with only a two hour notice at an Italian restaurant.

Roma Hits New Low!
by Brent Kellogg

The air-conditioned shadows of Genoa City's predominately Italian RoadKill Cafe, the aroma of special Mexican dinners drifting in from the kitchen and the haunting memories of her former husband pulled Rash & Sassy Cosmetics newest employee, Phyllis Summers, into a melancholy mood here Monday.

Summers wasn't welcome at the establishment where she has been repeatedly humiliated by cafe owner and former sister-in-law, Gina Roma, but pulled up a seat anyway.

Sipping on a drink, Summers had just come from a hot sexual encounter with attorney Michael Baldwin in his office. The smell of his sweat mixed with her own stale juices caused Summers to think back further to the day she gave birth to her first son.

Danny Romalotti Jr. was born on this date and for once Summers wanted to send the boy a birthday card.

Unfortunately, Summers lost contact with the kid when her conniving rock star husband divorced her, later obtained full custody and went on an extended tour in Europe with the child.

Looking around, Summers spotted Gina Roma, tried to make small talk and finally asked in a pleasant manner if Roma would be so kind as to relay a birthday greeting card to her son via Romalotti.

Taking cruelty to new heights, Roma said she would think about it.

People in Genoa City are known for doing terrible things and hurling cruel insults at one another but to deny a woman contact with her biological son by refusing to deliver a card is a new low point for Roma. She might just as well have stuck Summers in the heart with a knife.

Caterer Needs A Good Slap!
RoadKill Cafe owner, Gina Roma, proved once again on Friday that what she needs is a good smack upside the head for trashing Newman Enterprises employee, Phyllis Summers.

While performing her catering duties at the Abbott home, Roma spotted Summers and had the nerve to ask, "What part of Jack [Abbott] did you have to twist to worm your way into this wedding?"

Summer kept her cool but might have slapped Roma's face had she known Roma is in no position to throw stones. Prior to 1982 Roma spent time in jail for fraud after being convicted of a scam she participated in with her father, Rex Romalotti.

PUT IT ON MY TAB!
Local liquor license officials are investigating a complaint filed against restaurant owner, Gina Roma.

"That place should be closed down and the woman who runs it locked up!" teen counselor Randy Manes told reporters outside City Hall. "I'm working my butt off to stop illegal liquor sales to minors and here we have a bitch selling booze out of her restaurant without a retail sales license. It's blasphemy!" Manes complained.

Officials told the GCNews this is the first complaint about illegal sales they've had about Gina Roma, owner of the RoadKill Cafe.

"The establishment has a long history of giving out free bottles of liquor or encouraging customers to drink up just as they are about to get out on the highway. While that concerns us we haven't been able to find any concrete evidence," said Liquor Control administrator Leslie Knobhead.

In his complaint, Manes documented a case in which author Tomas del Cerro allegedly purchased a bottle of champagne from the RoadKill Cafe and Ms. Roma put the bottle into a paper bag and agreed to put the charge on del Cerro's tab.

"That obnoxious bitch allows people to charge booze! She must keep a written record of who owes what. I don't understand why these government weasels don't get off their fat butts and bust that bitch," Manes lamented.

Restaurateur Lips Off
Gina Roma, owner of Genoa City's popular internationally known RoadKill Cafe, escaped being smacked in the face here Tuesday during a brief conversation with attorney Michael Baldwin.

Baldwin had stopped by the restaurant within hours of arriving at the airport after a long flight from Hong Kong and was minding his own business when Roma got into his face to say his being out of town was a welcomed vacation for everyone.

But when Baldwin mentioned he had gone to Hong Kong, Roma asked about his law partner Christine 'The Bug' Williams and knowing Baldwin has the hots for the Bug remarked she and local detective Paul Williams were meant to be together.

Asked if she would have said the same thing when her brother, Danny Romalotti, and the Bug were having marital problems Roma spewed "You're a piece of work" and stomped off.

New Restaurant Opening Soon?
by Brent Kellogg

Drop by Genoa City's RoadKill Cafe any morning and ask for roasted mole. Owner Gina Roma will probably tell you she doesn't have any.

Odds are the party ahead of you got the last serving or if there are any on the rotisserie, Roma will say they're all sold.

The RoadKill is doing a booming business in roasted mole, a fact that somebody must know, but nobody wants to talk about. If you want this delicacy, it pays to order ahead or get there early because almost everything sells out quickly.

The RoadKill Cafe offers daily salads, soups and sandwiches but specializes in road kill, so you know everything will be fresh and of the best quality.

The mole looks especially delicious and smells extraordinary like the aroma of a campfire. Served at room temperature, it makes a great supper with a baguette, a few kalamata olives or the seaweed salad. If you've never had mole be sure to ask for the special, creamy sauce. Made from pure fox urine, you cannot beat mole covered with fox sauce.

The only thing missing at the RoadKill is room to eat. Frequently packed with locals from nearby cosmetics companies and the like, these people often take up valuable seating, don't eat and frequently make uncomfortable outbursts as they use the RoadKill as a nothing more than a place to vent their personal frustrations.

The RoadKill's kitchen shelves are stacked to the ceiling with rice, pasta and lots of dried animal parts. It is not uncommon to find the chef busy shoving sugar treats down the throat of kids Ms. Roma allows in the work place while their parents argue at their table.

Aware her establishment has become overgrown, Ms. Roma has announced she's thinking about opening a new restaurant. Tentatively named RoadKill Too, Ms. Roma hopes to have the eatery open by the end of the year. If RK2 is anything like the original, Roma will soon find she can't keep roasted mole on the menu.

Restaurateur Eager To Serve!
Getting a reservation in about an hour at Genoa City's premier restaurant has always been a difficult thing to do. However, perhaps because of her connections within the food industry, local RoadKill Cafe owner Gina Roma pulled off nothing less than a miracle Thursday for a friend in need.

Photographer Malcolm Winters was the friend anxious to put together a surprise simulated high school prom for his 'sugar' and latest main squeeze, attorney Alex Perez.

While it would have taken mere mortals a good week to put together such an elaborate undertaking, Winters, with the help of Roma, were ready to get the show on the road right then.

"How does the private dinning room at Colonnade sound. Is that intimate enough?" Roma asked when Winter's desire to use facilities at Roma's under construction RoadKill 2 could not be accommodated.

"That would be perfect. When can we do it?" Winters asked obviously thinking it would take a few days to arrange. The Colonnade is usually booked weeks in advance but Roma stated, "It has to be tonight. Is that a problem?"

It wasn't a problem for Winters. "Gotta do what you gotta do, he told Roma and without hesitation, Roma replied, "Then I’ll book the place."

Incredibly, Colonnade management will be able to work in the last minute request.
