Divorce, Will It Be Quick & Easy?
(Genoa City) -- It appears infamous fashion photographer Malcolm Winters is reportedly close to making a decision where his wife Olivia "the butcher" is concerned. "I think it's time I see a lawyer about ending this marriage" Winters said here Tuesday. Winters has been living with unemployed singer/waitress Daisy Mae since his marriage hit the rocks last week. Herself a married woman, Daisy Mae couldn't be happier.

Do As I Say - Not As I Do!
(Genoa City) -- Their troubled marriage headed for disaster, Malcolm Winters all but told his estranged wife it is not okay for her to have feelings for Neil Winters and certainly not okay for Olivia to sleep with his brother. On the other hand, Malcolm's living and sleeping with another married woman doesn't count. The couple continued arguing to the point where Olivia began whimpering.

Winters File For Divorce!
(District Court) -- Sources at the divorce court division of the Genoa City Court have informed the Genoa City News that official divorce papers have been filed against Olivia Winters by her husband Malcolm Winters

The Deception Will Continue!
(Detroit, MI) -- Full disclosure is not a term Callie Rogers (AKA Daisy Mae) has ever heard of. She should have come clean with beau Malcolm Winters long ago and told him she is still legally married to Trey Stark but people in Genoa City just don't do these things. Earlier, Callie told Winters she was flying to Chicago for a visit with her singing manager and didn't stop to think Malcolm might be waiting for her at the airport when she returns and wonder why she was getting off a flight from Detroit. There is also the small detail of why she would fly at all since Chicago is within easy driving distance from Genoa City. Billy Abbott and his pals recently made the round trip in just a few hours. Not to mention song-bird Callie hasn't sung a tune since she stopped working at the RoadKill Cafe months ago. This reporter has learned Callie's deception will continue when she makes no headway with hubby Trey who is not about to give her a divorce. Trey wants to teach her a lesson and get some good old fashioned revenge at the same time. With her disease ridden brain, Callie cannot comprehend that all she needs to do is file for divorce on her own, tell Malcolm the truth and hope he'll understand. At this point, Callie is going to continue the deception which will almost certainly come back to haunt her.

'HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?'
(Genoa City) -- When Callie "Daisy Mae" Rogers blew into town just over a year ago she had no apparent purpose for being in the mini-metropolis. A singer, Daisy claimed to have been the opening act for Aretha Franklin in Detroit some time ago but otherwise, her career was on the skids. She slipped into the RoadKill Cafe one day looking for employment and was fortunate to find an opening for a waitress.

Daisy took the opportunity to display her singing skills and it became crystal clear why she wouldn't be appearing as a guest any time soon on Soul Train. Eardrums of cafe patrons burst and glassware shattered each time Daisy shrieked.

Cafe owner Gina Roma took a sisterly interest in Daisy allowing her to bunk upstairs and change her job title to singing waiter. One day Malcolm Winters heard Daisy sing. It was love at first sight even though Winters was a married man. One day Ms. Roma got a visit from Detroit gangster Trey Stark. Flashing a contract in Gina's face Stark warned Roma. If Daisy continued to sing there would be big trouble.

Before she knew what was happening Daisy was looking for a new place to live and a new job. She quickly found employment at Newman Rocks. Daisy loved working at NR because she could come and go as she pleased. Didn't feel like working a shift? Not a problem. Daisy simply didn't show up. At work but need to attend to a personal problem? Not a problem! She could simply take off whenever the mood struck.

When heart-throb Winter's marriage to Dr. Olivia Winters began to crumble Daisy knew the day was coming when she would have to tell the truth. She was still married to Trey Stark! Unfortunately for Daisy she didn't tell Winters until it was too late.

Although he and Daisy had obtained an apartment together, planned to be wed in the summer and professed his deep love for Daisy, Malcolm blew a gasket when Daisy fessed up. "How could you do that? You make me sick!" Malcolm was heard spewing as he stormed out of their apartment.

So much for true love.

Sex Invasion Strikes Again!
(Paris) -- Desperate to know more about the sex life of his former sister-in-law, Malcolm Winters spared no expense. He shut down his Genoa City photo studio, plucked down the big bucks for an airline ticket and in a flash, arrived in Paris today where he had no trouble finding the location of a fashion show model Dru Winters was participating in. "What are you doing in Paris", the surprised model asked. Winters explained he had to fly all the way from Genoa City to get a few answers about Dru's sex life answered. Specifically, Winters wanted to know why she had sex with his half-brother, Neil Winters. Dru made it clear to the brillo head, she was "caught in a moment of nostalgia." Apparently satisfied with Dru's answer, Malcolm turned around and pointed himself in the direction of the airport for the return trip to Genoa City.

What's Wrong With These People?
(Genoa City) -- "Incest! It's a dilemma that commonly affects the likes of trailer park trash, the Newman's, the Abbott's and other dysfunctional families. And while the word incest cannot be applied directly, it doesn't come any closer when used to describe what's happening with the Winter's family.

"How did two fine people like us end up alone", Malcolm Winters asked his former sister-in-law, Dru Winters, this week and added he couldn't help but admit he had "feelings" for the sister and wondered if she didn't have the same feelings for him which caused them to nearly exchange body fluids.

Dru Winters wasn't as quick to admit her feelings and wrote the whole thing off on confusion and stress during a time when her sister and Malcolm Winter's former wife, Olivia Winters, drifts between life and death.

But some here are asking why Mr. Winters would make such a stupid statement. How did they end up alone? For starters, Winters lied to his wife while committing adultery with Callie Rogers.

The entire Winters clan has done nothing since they've been in Genoa City except exchange partners. While Dru Winters was married to Malcolm's half-brother, Neil Winters, she mistakenly had sex with Malcolm while Neil was having fantasies of being with Olivia who was married to Nathan Hastings and later married Malcolm.

The best thing Malcolm can do for himself would be to go outside the family if he needs a woman rather than risking the entire clan. How would little Nate Hastings react if he were to catch "dad" humping his Aunt Dru?

FAMILY MEMBERS ADMIT FEELINGS!
(Genoa City) -- Photographer Malcolm Winters made it clear Friday he has had 'feelings' for another member of his family for some time and urged the woman he now finds himself in love with to find it in her heart to share those feelings.

Likewise, fashion model Dru Winters admitted she too has feelings for another family member. However, Ms. Winters stated she needs more time to think about what she's doing because other family members are involved. Mr. Winters is recently divorced from Ms. Winters sister, Dr. Olivia Winters. Ms. Winters is also recently divorced from Neil Winters, Mr. Winters brother.

A Great Ride!
During a conversation with Dr. Olivia Winters here Wednesday, photographer Malcolm Winters told his former wife that shacking up with his brother's former wife and Dr. Winters sister is "lively and cozy."

Winters added, "Even if it doesn’t last between Dru and me its been a great ride."

Dr. Winters suggested that if her sister and Winters get any closer the time may be at hand to inform what have to be some very confused children. Presently, Dru Winter's daughter Lily, knows Malcolm as her Uncle and Dr. Winter's son Nate Hastings, knows Malcolm as his "dad."

It's apparent the adults have not come up with a way to tell the kids that the roles have reversed. If Dru and Malcolm wed, Lily will have to be told her Uncle is now her step-father and Nate will have to be told his "dad" is now his Uncle.

However, the Genoa City News has learned that Dru Winters may be using Malcolm and has no intention of furthering their relationship.

Shutterbug Takes Job
With no work scheduled for the entire month of December, Genoa City's 'famous photographer', Malcolm Winters announced Thursday he has accepted an offer from Newman Enterprises webmaster Phyllis Summers to work on the Rash & Sassy Cosmetics website.

Summers noted the R&S website is planning a "virtual makeover" sweepstakes. The winner will have glamorous photographs taken by the noted photographer which will then be posted on the site.

BEGGING SHUTTERBUG
Photographer Malcolm Winters' continued whining here Wednesday that his former wife, Olivia Winters, has begun restricting the amount of time allowed to visit with her son, Nate Hastings.

During a discussion with Newman Enterprises executive and half-brother Neil Winters, Winters moaned and groaned how much he loves Hastings and begged his brother to do something.

Refusing to get involved because there isn't anything he can do once Mrs. Winters mind is made up Neil Winters did offer moral support. "Know this, I'm on your side," Winters said.

Photographer Will Seek Visitation!
Local photographer Malcolm Winters appears ready to move forward with legal action securing visitation rights to the boy he continues calling his son. Nathan Hastings was at one time Winter's nephew by marriage but became a step-son when Winter's married his mother. Since then the two have referred to each other as 'daddy' and 'son'.

When the Winters were divorced, Hastings' mother didn't want her former husband hanging with her son because in Olivia Winter's mind, Malcolm Winters is a bad role model. However, Hastings has persisted in wanting a relationship with his 'daddy' and has even taken to writing about his desire in a journal.

Malcolm Winters now seems ready to go to court and has enlisted the help of PainMe Johnson, Hastings' aunt. Johnson has told Winters she thinks it's a good idea for 'father' and 'son' to be together but when asked to testify on his behalf, told Winters she thought doing so would be detrimental to Hastings. Regardless, Johnson has told Neil Winters to support his brother in a court action and continues to arrange clandestine meetings between Hastings and Malcolm Winters.

At It Again!
Local photographer Malcolm Winters has stepped up plans to get even with former wife Olivia Winters by taking legal action to gain visitation rights with Mrs. Winters son, Nate Hastings. Mr. Winters has continually squealed like a stuck pig about how badly he needs to be with his 'son' and that Hastings needs to be with his 'dad'.

Mrs. Winters has repeatedly charged her former husband with being a bad role model pointing out that a man who falls in love with women he hardly knows would adversely affect her son's well-being.

Mr. Winters fuss over Hastings now appears to be nothing more than a rodomontade act since he seems more intent on using Hastings to punish Mrs. Winters. If granted visitation, it is unlikely Winters will spend much time with the boy. Winters appears to have taken a page out of the Brad Carlton play book to serve his own needs. Carlton once fought for visitation of his daughter only to stop seeing the child after a few visits.

Child Visitation Case Delayed
Photographer Malcolm Winters revealed Tuesday that legal action, in which he seeks visitation rights to his former wife's son, may be postponed until the child is out of school for the summer. Dr. Olivia Winters requested the delay in an effort to prevent the trauma of appearing in court from adversely affecting her son's grades.

His exact age uncertain, Nate Hastings developed a bond with his step-father which was unlike the one he had when Winters was his uncle. The two have since addressed each other as "dad" and "son". After their divorce, Mrs. Winters forbid her former husband from having any contact with Hastings and has charged Winters with being "a bad role model" based on his cavorting with women he hardly knows.

Further complicating matters, Dr. Winter's sister, Drucilla, was once married to Neil Winters, Olivia Winter's former husband's half-brother. The animosity mounted early last year when Drucilla developed a romantic interest in Malcolm Winters. Olivia Winters has retained the services of attorney Michael Baldwin.

Kidnapping Option Looks Good!
The man had everything going for him. A total stranger handed him a job on a silver platter as a photographers assistant and he was fortunate enough to have been awarded his own photo studio when he still thought film speed was a drug.

Now, Malcolm Winters is apparently ready to throw everything away by kidnapping a child only remotely related to him and going on the run.

The trouble started soon after Winter's divorce from little Nate Hasting's mother. The shutterbug had fallen head over heels in love with the little tyke and wanted to continue seeing the boy he calls "son".

Dr. Olivia Winters doesn't want her former husband near Hastings because of Winter's inability to be a good role model. The hostility has become so intense the two are heading into court.

Fearing it could take another year just to get the case started, Mr. Winters threw a fit here Thursday and threatened to snatch Hastings. Unlike Hastings' biological father who pulled the same stunt years ago when he hold up in a local roach motel with Hastings, Mr. Winters plans to take the child to another country!

Kidnapping Plan On Hold
Angry and distraught, over his former wife's desire he not have contact with her child, local photographer Malcolm Winters has put a threat to kidnap Nate Hastings out of his mind - for now.

Blaming his dilemma on Olivia Winter's lawyer, the shutterbug voiced his frustration Monday in the presence of attorney Alex Perez, the woman Winters hopes to marry.

"I can see what Baldwin is trying to do. He’s going to keep my son away from me forever because that’s how Olivia wants it," Winters squealed.

As if he didn't know, Perez had to point out that kidnapping young Hastings would only result in a jail term. "That boy needs a father," Winters persisted.

It was only after Perez asked if he would be able to fill the void of Hastings losing his Mother that Winters admitted his thought process is skewed. "I was counting on taking my son to a baseball game at the end of the month. I truly thought this all would be over," Winters sniveled even though he knows pending legal action has been delayed and was told it could take another year to resolve.

In a related development, and perhaps the first ever for a lawyer, attorney Michael Baldwin has all but confessed he is facing a moral dilemma. As Olivia Winter's lawyer, Baldwin said Monday, "I’m not on the side I want to be on."

Baldwin's statement has led some to believe he may drop the case. In the event he does, Mrs. Winters would be faced with either dropping the case too or obtaining another lawyer. The later option would drag the case out even further.

Strike Three, The Final Out?
Local photographer Malcolm Winters, told in no uncertain terms to stay away from Dr. Olivia Winter's son Nate, will apparently steal away with the child soon when he and Nate Hastings travel to Chicago.

The trip to see a Cub's baseball game is expected to happen while Dr. Winters is out of town and during a time when young Hastings will be under the care of his aunt, Mamie Johnson. Co-conspirator Johnson has been aiding and abetting the photographer by arranging clandestine meetings between Hastings and the man the child calls 'dad'.

There are indications Hastings is in desperate need of a father figure and it is commendable that Mr. Winters is willing to take on that role. However, continuing to allow Hastings to call Winters daddy and to reciprocate by calling Hastings' his son, Winters needs to sit the kid down and tell him the truth. Yes, while he was married to his mother he could be considered a step-father but the reality is, Winters is Hastings' uncle. A distance uncle at that since Winter's is Neil Winter's half brother.

By putting things on a level paying field, Winters might quickly discover that Olivia Winters would be much more comfortable with his spending time with her son.

Make a joyful noise!
Thanks in part to the testimony of former old maid and biscuit baker Mamie Johnson, photographer Malcolm Winters was reunited Monday with the boy he has come to know as his son.

Referring to Mr. Winters, Johnson testified young Nate Hastings needs his daddy and that she tried to make Nate's mother, Dr. Olivia Winters, see the light but the good doctor was so hell bent on punishing her former husband she couldn't see what she was doing to her son.

Before hearing complete witness rebuttal, family court judge Donna 'braindead' Brainard made an inflammatory statement which went unchallenged by Dr. Winters attorney, Michael Baldwin.

"I believe Nate needs Malcolm in his life." Brainard said and later ruled Dr. Winters will be required to allow her son and former husband to have reasonable visitation rights.

Dr. Winters had objected to any visitation based on what she termed Mr. Winters inability to be a good role model. But after young Hastings told the judge how much he needed a daddy and that daddy had to be Mr. Winters, the judge, having already made up her mind, threw caution to the wind thereby allowing the child to get what he wanted.

Brotherly love
by Brent Kellogg

Malcolm Winters proved Wednesday what a disgusting excuse for a human being he is. What kind of slug tells his former wife on Christmas Eve that should she see his brother tell him he's not wanted? It's an unbelievable act even for the back-stabbing Genoa City crowd.

Winters set a precedent when he told Olivia Winters that Neil Winters is not wanted at his home. The anger stems from the photographers knowledge that his brother has sexual feelings for the woman he's planning to marry. If the man in question weren't his brother, Winters' action might be understandable. For instance, a co-worker hung up on the woman in question might be told to stay away or be prepared to suffer the consequences. But is this how one treats a brother?

And if Winter's is so adamant, why not tell his brother face-to-face? Why hurl hatred from behind his former wife's skirt?

The event was exasperated by some abhorrent hypocrisy. Only moments earlier, Nate Hastings, the kid Winter's calls his 'son', announced his intention to save nickels and dimes to be sent to the children who lost their parents in the WTC disaster. Although not a single child lost both parents in the tragedy, Winters praised his son and then spewed hatred toward his brother.

Just a short time later, Winters was presented with an expensive sports car. A gift from his bride to be, Winters could have facilitated his son's heroic charitable gesture by proclaiming the car would be immediately sold with proceeds going to his son's venture. But that would have been too much to expect from a slug.
