Archives - Mamie Johnson - 2001 See also: Dru Winters Olivia Winters Nate Hastings April 2001 Clandestine Meetings? Claiming she has to "put Nate's welfare first" Johnson has informed photographer Malcolm Winters she will arrange for Hastings to meet Winters behind his mother's back at one of the busiest restaurants in Genoa City where the boy's mother is known to frequent. Father-Son
Reunion Sickens Some Par for the course, Cafe owner Gina Roma promised Hastings "a super chocolate sundae" rich with sugar the youngster would be allowed to eat in the kitchen after the main meal. Unfortunately, Hastings turned his nose up at the offer because he was somewhat depressed over not having been able to see his 'daddy' for the longest time. But when the man Hastings has latched onto as a father figure appeared his eyes lit up. "Daddy! Am I ever glad to see you!" Hastings exclaimed when Malcolm Winters walked up to him. After filling his 'daddy' in on such things as getting a perfect score on a state capitols test - a test most children can easily pass by the fourth grade - the Walnut Grove Academy student received a journal from Winters. "It's like writing a letter to tell a friend what youre doing only its to yourself," Winters instructed. Hastings promised his first entry will be about meeting 'Daddy'. The nauseating meeting concluded when Johnson noticed the lateness of the hour and rushed Hastings off to see a dinosaur show at the museum before it closed. Vanished! Only moments earlier, Pain-Me Johnson had seen her nephew, Nate Hastings, chatting with the man he's come to call daddy. Johnson knew, long before arriving at Dr. Olivia Winters tiny apartment, that Malcolm Winters is an unpredictable loose cannon. That she would leave Hastings alone with Winters for even a second is unconscionable. Yet that's exactly what she did. Johnson wandered off to another room and did not notice when the conversation the 'boys' were having stopped. During those brief moments, Winters had time to write a note, gather up the kid, open and close the door without being heard and take off, supposedly for Chicago. November 2001 Days late and a dollar short Johnson returned to Genoa City in 1999 after taking a cruise around the world using the
one million dollars Jill Abbott gave her to get out of town. An agreement Johnson made
with Abbott stipulated she was never to return after being caught with her dress down and
trying to sink her hooks in Mrs. Abbott's husband, John.
