What Are The Odds?
(Barns & Noble Books) -- Published short-story writer and aspiring author, Nina Webster, was spotted purchasing a novel from a local book store chain. "Oh, I don't recall the title but the author of the book was Tomas de Cerro" a store employee told the Genoa City News. "I've never heard of him either. Mrs. Webster purchased the only copy we had. I think it was a romance story. Been in the mark down section collecting dust. That's all I can tell you." Amazingly, Webster stopped by the Newman Rocks college coffee shop hangout moments later and who should she see nearby? Tomas de Cerro! In all America, what are the odds of running into the author of a book you've just purchased? "The odds are astronomical. A million to one at best" Lisa Moore, a frequent visitor to Las Vegas casinos and writer for 'We Help You Get Lucky Magazine" told the GCNews.

Missing Baby Won't Surface!
(Genoa City) -- The Genoa City News has learned the case of Nina Webster's missing baby will not be solved any time soon. Years ago when only a teenager living on the streets,
Webster became pregnant with her first child and gave up the kid to black market baby dealer Rose DeVille. The baby was later sold by DeVille to a young couple unable to adopt through legal means. When Nina learned the truth about DeVille it was too late. DeVille fled the city and remains at large.

Love Triangle Ahead For Best Pals?
(Genoa City) -- Just when things seem to be going well for Nina Webster, something always goes wrong. In 1990 Webster made the mistake of getting involved with David Kimble and ended up pumping five bullets into the man only to have Kimble live another day to put the make on Nina's mother.

At the end of 1991, Webster began dating all-purpose attorney John Silva but that relationship didn't last long. By 1992 Webster had her eyes on Ryan McNeil and thought sure they would be married until she found out McNeil was married to Victoria Newman. To get her mind off all her bad luck, Webster hired detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams to locate her long-lost father but as usual, Clueless was of no help and Webster eventually gave up the search.

Just recently Webster ran into who she claims is her favorite author, Tomas del Cerro. Although she knows very little about del Cerro, the two have grown closer. What Webster doesn't know is that her best friend, Christine 'the Bug' Williams is secretly pining for del Cerro and a major love triangle could soon develop.

RoadKill Crowd Goes Wild!
(RoadKill Cafe) -- It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, the RoadKill Cafe crowd goes wild when notable citizens show up and display their special talents on the dance floor. So it was when Nina Webster, Tomas del Cerro, Christine 'the Bug' and detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams walked into the joint for an enjoyable night on the town.

Del Cerro was overheard asking RoadKill owner, Gina Roma if she could throw together a special dish called, Paella. Roma said she's heard what a great cook del Cerro is but didn't seem to know that Paella is a Spanish dish of rice, saffron, chicken, seafood, vegetables, etc., cooked and served in a large shallow pan. "This is an Italian restaurant you know."

As del Cerro was telling Roma he was sure she'd be able to handle his simple request, his ears perked up to the sound of Salsa music. Del Cerro grabbed Webster and the two hit the dance floor. As the couple put on an amazing exhibition of their dancing skills, patrons at nearby tables stopped eating. Finally, when it was over, the crowd went wild with applause.

Newman Headed For Seattle!
(Genoa City) -- As the Genoa City reported a few days ago, stalking victim Victoria Newman, now relaxing at an undisclosed healing spa about two hours outside Genoa City, is said to be growing restless and has a yearning to look up an "old friend".

The Genoa City News has learned that old friend may in fact be Ryan McNeil!

McNeil's former wife, Nina Webster, spoke by telephone with McNeil on Thursday and warned that his "son", Phillip Chancellor IV wants to visit with him for a few days in Seattle. McNeil did not hesitate to tell Webster there was no way the kid could travel to Seattle where McNeil is currently trying to negotiate a pending labor dispute.

Webster also asked McNeil, "Is something going on you're not telling me", but did not get an immediate response.

For some time there has been speculation McNeil and Newman would attempt to pick up where they left off years ago. Historically, Ryan McNeil has always had a peculiar sex appetite. His marriage to Newman failed in 1993 primarily because Victoria was like a block of ice when it came to sex. Unable to obtain sexual gratification, McNeil can become anxious and edgy.

In a related development, McNeil reports his current wife, Tricia, is having her head shrunk in Seattle after an accident in which mechanic Tony Viscardi died.

Is del Cerro Guilty Of Plagiarism?
(Genoa City) -- When Nina Webster stopped by author Tomas del Cerro's apartment this week for a quick roll in the sack, it was expected she would discover something very mysterious. But, all Webster found was a box with papers in it inside the cupboard where del Cerro keeps his 'special' coffee mugs.

When Webster picked the papers up to have a look see, del Cerro snapped. "Don't look at that!

Del Cerro claimed the papers are a project he's working on and not ready for viewing. But when Webster left del Cerro said to himself, "I couldn't tell Nina the truth."

The truth may be that del Cerro did not author the one and only book he claims to have written and in fact plagiarized the work. The documents Webster saw may be del Cerro's second attempt at plagiarism.

Nina Webster Resuming Baby Search?
(Genoa City) -- It's been 14 years since Nina Webster sold her baby. Now, Webster has revealed the subject of her first novel, which she hopes to have published, will include details about her first child.

In 1986, Webster was a pregnant teenager living at Rose DeVille's boarding house which was really the front for a baby-selling ring run by DeVille. Webster told DeVille she'd be willing to give up her baby to a wealthy couple who wanted the baby as soon as it was born. At the last moment, Webster changed her mind but it was too late. DeVille told Webster the baby boy died at birth.

But Cricket Blair had seen the couple leaving with a newborn baby and told Webster who, at the time, vowed never to stop looking for her baby.

By the end of 1997, Webster had managed to make a deal with DeVille. In exchange for $20-thousand dollars, DeVille would return her baby. Webster planned to get the money from Phillip Chancellor III who planned to borrow the money from his grandmother, Katherine Chancellor. Unfortunately, the plan turned out to be a scam and Webster never saw her baby again and has rarely mentioned the child since.

In 1988, Webster's second son was delivered by cesarean section. A paternity test showed Chancellor was the father but Jill Abbott and Katherine Chancellor wanted Webster out of young Chancellor's life. They offered Webster $1-million dollars to leave Genoa City but Webster turned them down.

Abbott set Webster up with a young man named Chase Benson who was willing to do whatever it took to please Abbott so that he could climb the corporate ladder at Jabot. Benson took Webster to Los Angeles as Abbott and Chancellor tried building an abandonment case. Webster was falling for Benson but caught onto Jill and Katherine's plan.

Living at the Chancellor mausoleum at the time, Webster moved out and kept her whereabouts a secret. She worked on getting her act together hoping to snare Phillip. In 1989, Blair agreed to go on a date with Chancellor but sent Webster in her place. The two actually enjoyed themselves. Later, Cricket told Phillip he should spend more time with Nina and his son. As time went on, Phillip asked Nina to marry him.

Jill was not a happy camper. She and Katherine vowed to keep Nina away from Phillip's money. Fortunately for the two women, Nina's life with Phillip came to an end when Phillip was killed in a car wreck. An alcoholic, Phillip had drunk too much before getting behind the wheel.

With all the insurance money she received, Webster has never made an effort to find her first child. Now, she's hoping to capitalize on the tragedy by writing about it in a book.

July 2000

In Search Of A Father Figure
Phillip Chancellor is a kid so confused he doesn't know who his father is - or so it would seem. Since his mother, Nina Webster, has been busy trying to snag herself a new man, Phillip has been left to fend on his own with no real male role model in his life. But it's nothing new for the youngster. Since his real daddy died years ago, Phillip hasn't had a man around he could look up to.

Chancellor's hopes were high when his mother married Ryan McNeil. There was talk of McNeil legally adopting Phillip but it never happened. McNeil tried his best to make the kid feel wanted by calling him "son" and Phillip reciprocated by calling McNeil "dad" but other than an occasional discussion about soccer or homework that's the extent of their relationship.

Phillip was distraught when his "dad" and mother got divorced and would frequently seek out McNeil's compassion which usually meant having to share him with his new wife. Phillip didn't like step-mommy Tricia. Phillip wanted to do things boys do alone with their dads but all he got was the same old run around. McNeil would promise to always be there for him but they never did anything together and McNeil could never figure out that Phillip needs a dad. Not just some days but every day!

Phillip wanted to turn back to his mother but found her too busy trying to write a book and reeling in the newest man in her life, Tomas del Cerro. Phillip doesn't like Tomas and even if he did the odds of Tomas finding time to play daddy are slim.

In the meantime, Phillip must deal with kids at his school who can't understand why he doesn't have a dad. "On the weekends and during the summer my dad takes me camping and fishing. I've asked Phillip and his dad to come along but he always says his dad is too busy. Come to think of it, I've never seen his dad", some kids say.

AUTHOR STRUGGLES TO MEET DEADLINE!
(Genoa City) -- Struggling to meet an editor imposed deadline for his new novel, infamous author Tomas del Cerro was seen this weekend inside Genoa City's public library. "I'm just trying to get some ideas for my book", del Cerro explained as he flipped the pages of a Robert Ludlum novel. Tucked under his right arm del Cerro held on tightly to another book. "This one? It's by Cole Howard. A great author if there ever was one. I've read all of Mr. Howard's books. Come to think of it he hasn't published anything recently. Wonder why."

Asked what his new novel will be about del Cerro said, "I don't know. I'm drawing a blank. Each time I try writing nothing comes out. Now I'm on a deadline. I've got to come up with something fast or there won't be any Christmas sales this year."

So what about your girlfriend Nina Webster. Isn't she writing about a stolen baby, the GCNews pressed on. "What about Nina", del Cerro grunted and at the same time a light seemed to go off over his head. "Hey! That's a great idea. At the rate she's going Nina will never get her plot developed. Of course I would never outright plagiarize Nina but what she doesn't know won't hurt her - will it", del Cerro said tossing the Howard book aside and rushing off.

Nina, Book Woman?
Novelist Tomas del Cerro and aspiring author Nina Webster have spared for months over what should or shouldn't be in each others respective books.

Instead of reaching an agreement whereby both parties agree not to critique the other as clearly they cannot accept criticism, Webster and del Cerro engaged in another spat here Friday resulting in Webster's fleeing to the Newman Rocks college coffee house where she could be alone to think.

Moments later, del Cerro was spotted at the coffee house by day, club for all ages by night,  "What are you doing here?" Webster asked.

Among his many shortcomings, del Cerro also has an apparent hearing impairment, as he badgered Webster about her book.

"I’m not going to change what I’ve written. It’s hurting too much," Webster sobbed.

"Take it from me. She will write this book and then put it behind her," del Cerro said.

"He doesn't understand. This is tearing me apart. I’m not going to finish my book," Webster declared.

The announcement caused del Cerro to think for a moment and then he blurted out "Ohmigod! The woman in the book is Nina!"

The Truth  -  Can It Set A Writer Free?
Aspiring author, Nina Webster, continued to beat herself up here Monday for allowing her first born baby boy to be stolen in 1988 and threatened not to complete the writing of what could become a national bestseller.

Webster moaned that writing about the events, which started over a decade ago, only dredge up painful memories of the past and she's not sure she can go on.

Webster's current boy toy and experienced novelist, Tomas del Cerro, encouraged his bedroom babe and protégé not to give up because the world would be very interested in what happened all those years ago.

"Her story might help someone else in a similar situation," del Cerro noted.

Those who witnessed Webster's son disappear off the face of the earth have wondered what happened to the child. Is he still alive? Is he actually older than his younger brother, where has he been all these years and what took Webster so long to become interested?

School Starting?
Aspiring author Nina Webster has announced the return of her son, Phillip Chancellor, from a Montana summer camp where the stunted child has spent most of the school vacation.

Born before business Mogul Nick Newman, Chancellor is still in High School and expected to arrive in Genoa City in time for another school year said to be starting soon. However, the exact first day of school in this city has not been determined.

Tragedy On Tape!
Baring her soul here Friday for the first time since it happened, Nina Webster revealed to author Tomas del Cerro, how ‘Auntie Rose’ came to her rescue years ago when she was a troubled teenager, pregnant and living on the streets.

About to have a baby, Webster told how there was no one to help her. She had no education and was scared not knowing what to do when Rose DeVille came along with a strange looking doctor willing to deliver her baby.

After the delivery, Webster changed her mind. She wanted to keep baby after hearing it cry but it was too late. She was told a nice couple had already left with her baby.

When Webster demanded to see the child DeVille told her the baby had died. But Webster said she knew about the couple leaving with a baby so DeVille admitted she gave them the baby because it was the right thing to do.

"You stole my baby," Webster screamed and at the same time snapped back to reality.

"There, there. It’s over. You’re going to feel better now that you’ve done this," del Cerro assured Webster before suggesting Webster move on by writing chapter four of her book.

As Webster moaned she can't take the pain, del Cerro whipped out a tape recorder. "It’s all here if you want it," he said.

Writer Loses Talent!
Author Tomas del Cerro was in a quandary Monday after his editor, Hugh Abernathy, traveled all the way to Genoa City to say the publishers will pull funding for del Cerro's project unless he comes up with something next year.

Del Cerro confided again in protégé Nina Webster that he has lost his talent and may never get it back but Webster wasn't so sure he isn't simply having a "temporary gap" in his writing career.

Del Cerro requested again he finish Webster's book in order to get himself back into a writing flow and Webster was anxious to oblige.

What Webster doesn't know is her boy toy is having thoughts of plagiarism.

Hope In A Bottle
As the Genoa City News previously reported, author Tomas del Cerro's case of writer's block took a turn for the worse Thursday when, after attempting to write a new book expected to be in bookstores by Christmas, del Cerro apparently realized he was trying to accomplish the impossible.

While most intelligent persons know excessive drinking of alcohol never solves anything, del Cerro popped open a bottle of booze and began to get systematically wasted.

Forget Stolen Baby!
The hope that aspiring author Nina Webster would once and for all get off her butt and launch a search for her stolen baby faded Thursday when Webster announced she is leaving the issue in the hands of "fate."

Saying she's not going to worry about it anymore, Webster added, "What will be - will be."

Raving Alcoholic!
Aspiring author, Nina Webster, discovered her bedmate and writing tutor, Tomas del Cerro, in a drunken stupor and wallowing in self-pity inside her apartment here Tuesday.

Noticing her apartment was strewn with crumpled up paper, Webster offered her man some black coffee and toast as Del Cerro whined, "If I'd had a match I'd of burned all I've written. None of it is worth a damn."

Instead of telling del Cerro to get over himself, Webster dished out her standard 'you can do it if you try' pep talk. "You're a wonderful writer. You have a great future ahead of you," she said.

Like the hopeless drunk he appears to be turning into, del Cerro sniveled, "The bottom of a bottle is about all the motivation I have left."

Anticipated Book!
Aspiring author Nina Webster has reportedly completed work on her first book. The novel, still being edited by world renown author and recently turned booze head Tomas del Cerro, is said to be based on Webster's life and is expected to contain detailed information about the baby Webster claims was stolen at birth.

However, there is some question as to whether the still untitled work will ever appear in book stores.

"I couldn’t have done this without Tomas [del Cerro]. The words just poured out of me. You have no idea how wonderful this feels," Webster beamed.

Webster says she plans to get her manuscript off to a publisher as soon as possible.

Author Wallows In Self-pity
(New York) -- Spotted aboard a We Fly You Anywhere Air flight to the Big Apple, Master In The Dust author, Tomas del Cerro continued wallowing in self-pity here Monday.

The one book wonder has been plagued for weeks by writer's block and developed what appears to be a case of jealously after conspiring on a new book with aspiring author and bed partner, Nina Webster.

While Del Cerro has generated enough income to pay for impromptu airline flights, taxi fares and keeps his rent and cellular telephone with worldwide roaming features paid up, he recently turned to alcohol to solve his self-image problems.

In a drunken stupor, del Cerro whined Monday in the office of New York editor, Hugh Abernathy, "My muse is dead. My writing well is dry and I don't expect to ever have anything again."

Del Cerro is expected to announce soon a decision to give up his writing career.

Major Search Launched For Missing Author!
Detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams offered his amazing detecting skills to Nina Webster on Tuesday when the aspiring author, accompanied by her sidekick lawyer, Christine 'the bug' Williams, burst into the private investigator's office and began sniveling about her missing bed partner and infamous writer, Tomas del Cerro.

Webster ranted that del Cerro has been depressed, has been drinking heavily and that his car was gone.

Genoa City's super sluth quickly concluded del Cerro must have used his credit card and immediately contacted a credit card 'source' known only as Kevin.

With contacts across the globe, Clueless also put a telephone tracking procedure into play said to have the ability to track a person down based on cellular phone numbers.

In addition, Clueless offered to file an off the record missing persons report with the Genoa City Police. With contacts within the police department, Clueless informed Webster he has, "friends" on the force who would just keep an eye out for del Cerrro.

In a flash, the phones at the Clueless Detective & Alarm Company began ringing off the hook. One contact reported del Cerro had answered his telephone in New York and another reported del Cerro purchased a one-way ticket to New York as well.

After the big fuss, Webster returned to her apartment where she found del Cerro sitting alone in the dark.

Born To Lose May Be Winner!
World renown author Tomas del Cerro announced Wednesday that aspiring author Nina Webster's just completed novel Born To Lose may soon become a published work of art.

"He loves it!", del Cerro exclaimed during a celebration party at which he added his publisher, Hugh Aberrantly, read Webster's manuscript and will be recommending it to a publisher.

Webster's book must undergo final editing but with luck could be in book stores in time for Christmas sales.

Ms. Webster has labored over the story of her stolen baby for about a year but as yet hasn't lifted a finger to locate the child.

"I couldn’t have done the baby story without the support of all my friends," Webster said.

November 2000

Will Book Become Movie?
Author Tomas del Cerro, has learned his best-selling book Master In The Dust may turn into a movie. At the very least, a television movie of the week.

Del Cerro's publisher, Hugh Abernathy, broke the news in New York during a meeting with playwright, Harvey Saflin. "It will make a great movie. I wouldn’t suggest risking millions on a work that didn’t have potential," Abernathy said.

Without making a commitment, Saflin has agreed to read the book but seemed more interested in Nina Webster's unpublished novel, Born To Lose, which he also plans to read.

While del Cerro is on cloud 9, the seemingly washed up writer may be in for a rude awakening when Webster's book is chosen for the movie over his.

Hollywood Hit!
'Born To Lose' Could Take Off

The Hollywood grapevine was all a buzz Wednesday over a manuscript playwright Harvey Saflin delivered over the weekend to a group of exclusive movie producers.

Written by Genoa City's very own aspiring author Nina Webster, the manuscript is an unedited version of what Webster hopes will become a published book titled, Born To Lose.

Based on her life story, Born To Lose is said to contain a first hand look at what happened to the baby boy stolen from Webster at birth.

An unnamed movie producer is reportedly ready to transform the unpublished book into a movie.

"If Charlie's Angels can generate forty million dollars its first weekend in theatres imagine what we can do with Webster's true story," Saflin said.

Reached in New York, Webster would only say the prospect is "exciting" but a tone of voice was indicative Webster may be having second thoughts about revealing her personal life to the world.

Thanksgiving Plans?
Aspiring author and social butterfly, Nina Webster is said to be preparing invitations for her first annual Thanksgiving Day dinner.

The list of invitees is said to include local attorney Christine 'the Bug' Williams. However, Williams' husband, detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams, routinely spends the holiday with his mother, the meddling Mary Williams.

Mr. Williams is thought to be especially concerned that this year spending time with his mother will help his wife get to know Mary Williams better.

The super-sleuth's ultimate goal is to change his wife's mind about the importance of having a baby before biological time clocks stop ticking.

T-Day Plans
Just one week away, various Genoa City socialites began making Thanksgiving Day dinner plans here Thursday. Nina Webster and Toe Moss del Cerro announced intentions of inviting Jill Abbott, Christine 'The Bug' and Paul 'Clueless' Williams, Mrs. Mary Williams, Phillip Chancellor and possibly Mr. and Mrs. Ryan McNeil to their small apartment for the holiday.

Other plans include Mrs. Katherine Sterling and her granddaughter Mackenzie Browning who plan to gobble down a traditional turkey with all the fixings prepared by personal slave, Ether Valentine.

Valentine's more healthier vegetarian style dinner idea was rejected although such a meal would be more beneficial to Sterling's health considering her age.

Oops, Maybe Not!
Aspiring author, Nina Webster received good news Wednesday when unofficial word came down that her book Born To Lose has been picked up by a publishing firm.

No publishing date was announced and actual confirmation came by way of Webster's mentor and bed partner, Toe Moss del Cerro.

"She's going to be a published novelist," del Cerro exclaimed.

However, Webster appeared to be having second thoughts. "My whole life will be open to public scrutiny. I need to think about this," Webster said.

"Readers are in awe of someone who can put how they feel into words. They’ll admire Nina," del Cerro added in an effort to convince Webster to move forward but the future of Born To Lose remains uncertain.

In a related development confusion arose over the title of del Cerro's book. Late last year, Webster told Ryan McNeil the title was Master of the Dust. But in June 2000, Sharon Newman said she had read, "Masters in the Dust." In July 2000, Mary Williams stated she had an autographed copy of "Master in the Dust."

Whatever the name, the subject of del Cerro's book is said to be a fictional rendering of an Iowa pig farmer named Mo who is forced to grapple with the meaning of life during the desperate times of the 1930's drought and Great Depression.

ENGAGEMENT RING
After overhearing a reporter tell Nina Webster he's all washed up, author Tomas del Cerro showed up at the RoadKill Cafe again Tuesday where he guzzled down a few drinks.

The booze gave del Cerro the nerve to return to Webster's apartment where he handed Genoa City's newest novel writer an engagement ring.

BUG STOPS WEDDING!
Local attorney, Christine 'The Bug" Williams learned Wednesday that her best pal, writer Nina Webster, has received a proposal of marriage from author, Tomas del Cerro.

Expressing concern she doesn't know what to do, Webster was told by the Bug not to make any decision to get married until after the Bug returns from Hong Kong.

WASHED UP?
Local reporter, Robert Sims, grilled soon to be published author Nina Webster here Monday about her new book, Born To Lose.

When asked if the book is autobiographical, Webster didn't want to say at first until Sims pointed out that Webster better fess up now because it's a question reporters will relentlessly ask until they get an answer.

Webster admitted she hadn’t thought about it from that angle before and confirmed the book is about her real life.

Pressing for more detail, Sims also asked if writer Tomas del Cerro had anything to do with the book's ending. Webster acknowledged del Cerro's input.

"He’s my mentor. I couldn’t have written this book without him," Webster said but wouldn't say if del Cerro is part of her personal life.

"He's lost his 'muse'. He was on the brink of becoming a great writer," Sims said of del Cerro prompting Webster to declare, "Tomas is not a has-been. He's just having a dry spell. All writers do. Tomas del Cerro is a talented writer."

NO WEDDING BELLS?
The Genoa City News has learned there will be no immediate response from writer and soon to be published author, Nina Webster, to writer Tomas del Cerro's marriage proposal.

The couple were scheduled to leave on vacation to Taos, NM., but something has come up which could postpone the trip and Webster's reply.

Webster would not comment on the delay.

In other breaking news, as expected, local bad guy Matt Clark, AKA Carter Mills, will soon double-cross Mrs. Ryan McNeil when he attempts to turn the SUV killer against her husband, Ryan.

Word from the social circle has it that Ashley and Brad Carlton will spend Christmas with their new baby, Abby, at the home of Jabot Cosmetics founder, John Abbott.

Authors Return to Big City!
Genoa City's famous author, Tomas del Cerro and soon to be published author, Nina Webster, returned from their trip to the nation's vacation hot spot, Taos, NM., early Wednesday morning.

Webster wasted no time reporting in with long-time pal and spiritual adviser, Christine 'The Bug' Williams because she wanted to make sure the Bug doesn't tell detective Paul 'Clueless' Williams about the plan not to get pregnant right away and urged the Bug to think about it.

In a predictable move, the Bug asked Webster how things went during the trip and Webster proudly flashed an engagement ring.

"I know you had reservations. I did too [but] we are going to work things out together. I love him so," Webster bubbled of her anticipated marriage to del Cerro.

Always looking out for her low self-esteemed pal, the Bug made Webster promise not to get married until the Bug returns from Hong Kong.

Case Of the Missing Glove
Over the years many strange things have happened in Genoa City but the case of the missing glove may take the cake.

Upon her early morning return from Taos, New Mexico, soon to be published author Nina Webster dropped by to check on her best pal, Christine 'The Bug' Williams and then went to the apartment of her former husband, Ryan McNeil.

At the apartment, Webster asked McNeil if he had seen her son's lost glove and berated him for not asking Phillip Chancellor, the youngster McNeil claims as his 'son', to spend the night with him after the Jabot Glow New Year's Eve party.

McNeil offered to look for the glove but isn't expected to find it because it has been weeks since Chancellor last visited with his 'dad' at the apartment and wasn't wearing gloves at the time. Not to mention, McNeil had a hard time finding his laptop computer recently when it was right under his nose.

But why did the subject of the missing glove come up at all? Did Webster call her son as soon as she arrived at the airport? Did her son know the moment his mother arrived in town and call to say one of his only pair of gloves is missing? Or was it all a ruse on Webster's part?

We may never know.

Washed Up Writer Wants Credit!
Having overcome a serious case of writer's block, author Tomas cel Cerro has again taken control of his life and feels so confident he is now attempting to call the shots in a new movie deal.

Appointed Senior Screenplay Writer, del Cerro has been communicating with producers of the show without discussing his ideas in advance with collaborator Nina Webster.

"She couldn't have written her novel without my help," del Cerro said of Webster essentially belittling his partner for her inexperience. Asserting the movie deal would never have become reality if he hadn't opened the doors, del Cerro appears to have taken full control of the project.

"I'm no longer a cripple who needs her help. She [Webster] should be following my lead just as she did on the book," del Cerro said.

Based on Webster's as yet unpublished novel Born to Lose, the movie, albeit made for television, appears headed for production and should wind up as a CBS movie of the week.

Parting Shot!
Unpublished author Nina Webster finally figured out on Tuesday the man she fell in love with at the drop of a hat is leaving town without her.

On her way alone to Los Angeles, Webster was saying farewell to Tomas del Cerro when the washed up writer began muttering how much Webster has meant to him.

At the same time Webster noticed del Cerro was packing his bags. "Oh my god! You're leaving me!" Webster exclaimed when she saw all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Is This The End?
Aspiring author Nina Webster did her best today to talk book and movie collaborator Tomas del Cerro out of leaving Genoa City without her.

"Our relationship has changed. We jump from one problem to the next. It's not healthy for either of us," said del Cerro as Webster begged him to be there for her when she returns from a trip to Los Angeles.

"Just because we are having trouble collaborating doesn't mean it applies to our personal lives," Webster pleaded to no avail. "A writer doesn't get many chances like this is a lifetime. If she didn't go I'd hate myself even more than I do now," del Cerro whimpered unable to explain why he suddenly grew tired of Webster.

Fortunately, Webster didn't fall onto her knees and grovel but as she left del Cerro's apartment stopped in the hall to bang on the wall and shed a few tears.

Losing del Cerro will not go down in Webster's history book as her greatest loss but is this how it ends for Webster? Will her book ever get published? Will the movie based on the book ever make it to the CBS Movie of the Week lineup and if it does will anyone ever learn what happened to her stolen baby?
