With any luck, Michael Baldwin will beat Adam to punch what with Michael's obvious plan to extort money from Newman Enterprises. Seems like Michael tried this once before and failed, but they say practice makes perfect. In cahoots again with his criminal mother and step-daddy, Michael not only paid Gloria Bardwell's rent for a month at the expensive Athletic Supporter Club Hotel (ASCH), he told Nick that the SEC, or maybe the FCC, you never can tell which the way Michael slurs his words, is investigating the Cayman Islands bank collapse. Oh yes! Victor Newman withdrew his funds from that bank, it went belly up and it's all Victor's fault. A crime was committed, or as Michael indicated, there was "insider trading". Never mind the stretch of imagination, Nick's just dumb enough to believe it and will, it's a good bet, cough of the money required to pay back those who lost theirs including - ding dong - Jeff and Gloria Bardwell. Christ, you could scribble in red crayon, "scam" and Nick still wouldn't get it.

Speaking of not getting things, how is it that Ashley got her seat on the Newman Enterprises Board of Directors back? With the death of board member Colleen Carlton, shouldn't there have been a vote? Guess not, as Ashley was hacking to Nick about not getting a quarterly report. And what about the last quarter? Assuming she got that report, was she of sound mind to read it? Does she comprehend the information? What can she possibly do that would "make a difference" in the company's success? Cook up toxic chemicals in the lab? If she needed a copy of the report aren't there a zillion of them down in the lobby? These questions are near as crazy as when she went looking for Abby as if she didn't know where Abby could be. Let's see. There's the Jitter Joint, the ASCH, Mac's Bar and Indigo. Backing up a bit, when Detective Chancellor asked if she was looking for someone why didn't she tell him the kid had run off without her phone? That alone would have warranted an APB.

Hell, even Sharon would have had better sense. The town slut knew that Billy now runs his rag of out Mac's Bar and went straight there to scold him for trashing members of her family "for no good reason". Dummy, she knows there's always good reason and in case Sharon needs to be reminded, for her sniveling that Billy didn't think about the precious children, especially son Noah Newman, who will be hurt by his sleaze, she didn't much care that she abandoned Noah and her family to take up with Cameron Kirsten. Furthermore, as if Billy hadn't noticed he no longer has a staff, and must have bowed to Nick's "out by the end of the day" notice to vacate as he was at the bar first thing in the morning and still there as night set in, Sharon gave notice. She didn't work a minute at the rag, but Sharon said quitting felt "great" anyway. Even Lauren knew where to find Billy, as she showed up at the bar to tell him she's pulling all future advertising. As if Billy cared, he pretty much gave both women the finger. The rag is doing just fine without Lauren's money. Too bad that Cayman Islands bank couldn't say the same thing when it lost Victor's money.

Finally today on the subject of the blind leading the blind, isn't Adam Wilson so blind he can't drive a vehicle? Then why would Nick send him off on "assignment"? That's what Adam told Sharon; that he's going out of town on business. Good luck with that, you can almost hear the late night phone call. "Mr. Newman? We didn't know who else to call. We're sorry to inform you that Mr. Wilson fell down an elevator shaft. Where should we send the body?"

We need your help.
