Friday, March 12, 2010 -- Too funny, the Senate has voted, 100-0, to publicly tally new mandatory spending that isn't offset by spending cuts or tax increases. "It's about transparency in the Senate, being honest with the American people," said Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK)

The "truth" is included in the $148 billion bill to extend unemployment benefits and 60 expired tax cuts for businesses and individuals. The House has not yet considered the legislation. So good luck with finding the truth and getting more UI.

Coburn said that if Congress passes the bill, it will have approved $120 billion in deficit spending since change you can't believe in Obama signed pay-as-you-go legislation.

The unemployment insurance alone will cost $66 billion through December.

The number of jobs available to Americans has gone into the toilet by more than 11 million. So what did our elected, promised us change leader so? Passed a $15 billion jobs bill they did. Problem is, the money doesn't go to create jobs. It's all tax incentives to employers who, like the banks, will keep the money for themselves.

Got water?

With world water use growing at twice the rate of human population over the last century, many of the Earth's freshwater ecosystems are already critically depleted and being used unsustainably to support a global population of 6.5 billion.

More lies.

For weeks those following the war against Afghanistan were told that a "city of 80,000 people" would be attacked by US forces because Marjah was a major strategic objective. Turns out Marjah is no such thing and that the media whores were reporting what they were told to report.

Marjah is not a city or even a real town.

"It's not urban at all," an official of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), who asked not to be identified, admitted.

Pepsico is jacking up prices on Tropicana orange juice. It will also shrink its most popular size by about 8%. The 64-ounce container of OJ drops to 59 ounces. So there you go. Pay more, get less.

Utah Republican Rep. Carl Wimmer's Criminal Homicide and Abortion Revisions bill has been signed into law. It is now a crime for women to have miscarriages caused by an "intentional or knowing act". The original bill would have also included "reckless" behavior. Wimmer is working hard to make this a law in your state too.

Good news, men are more likely than women to be interested in sex, have sex and enjoy sex, according to new scientific research, which also found people who stay active and healthy enjoy longer sex lives.

The researchers found the average person's sex life dwindles by age 70. By age 55, men can hope for another 15 years of sex while women generally have another 11 years. And yet 71% of men who were sexually active above age 75 reported a good sex life, compared with 51% of women.

Reading an article about what men don't like about women when they're out on dates, there were comments from women. What they don't like is - nose hair! This is followed by ear hair and eyebrow hair.

But ladies, you don't understand. These hairs just crop up. Really. A guy could look in the car mirror checking for wayward nose hairs, find none, and by the time he's with his date a long hair could have appeared. The same can be said for eyebrow hair, which I understand affects only older guys. And then there's that annoying ear hair. No matter how many times I've used tweezers to pull those things out the hair keeps growing. After awhile a guy will ask how can it be that so much hair can grow when so many have been pulled out. Moreover, why won't this same hair grow on the top of an old man's head?

In a recent study of 2,500 women, women said that facial stubble, a geeky personality, and a hairy chest are their top three secret turn-on's. Others in the top ten were: gray hair and glasses. Half the women surveyed said they prefer a man who is soft and cuddly instead of toned and muscled.
