Since Gloria Bardwell claimed to have purchased both apples and bananas from the local farmer's market last week, I thought I'd ask a resident of Madison, Wisconsin about her trip to the market on Saturday.

According to my source:

"Let's see, today I saw hot-house tomatoes, TONS of annual flowers and tomato plants, honey, jam, lettuces, onions, and cheese curds, cheese curds, cheese curds! It was Cows on the Concourse to kick off June Dairy Month so there was cheese everywhere. There were also a lot of bakery stands and organic meats like ostrich and bison.

Oh, and asparagus and/or morel mushrooms at every third stand. Now that it's hot we should have strawberries and rhubarb all over the place next week.

The only apples I saw were in pies (there is an Amish family that makes the best pies!) or apple sauce. Also, no bananas outside of the smoothie stands."

There you have it. Writers, get your shit together.
