RIGHT TO KNOW: At the Winters in Genoa City, WI - Neil is stunned to find his wife and daughter going at it toe-to-toe. Is someone going to tell me what's going on here? Lily - well, Mom? Neil - whatever was going on between you two was pretty heavy - I think I have a right to know. Lily - you're definitely right, Dad - well, Mom? Dru is speechless. Lily - that figures (as she rushes off to her room) Dru - Neil, I'm sorry you had to walk in on that. Neil - I'm not - are you going to tell me what's going on? Dru - she's a teenager - it goes with the territory. Neil thinks it has to be more than that - guesses it's about Daniel. When Dru says it has nothing to do with Daniel - Neil suspects her of keeping secrets - I want you to tell me right now! Dru - why are you being so paranoid about this - please stop. Neil - what did she mean - I have a right to know - I'm going to put a stop this - Lily, please come out here. Lily - yes, Dad. Neil - I want you to apologize to your mother - then tell me what you have to say. Lily looks at Dru. Neil - Honey, is something wrong? Lily - I hope you'll understand - I need a few minutes with Mom alone. Neil - so this is something you can't share with dad. Lily - not right now - it's girl stuff. Neil - I'll go get some fresh air - I'll be back soon. Dru - I'm so sorry, Lily - I never meant for you to find out the way you did and I could break Phyllis' neck… Lily - don't blame her for what you did - having sex with your husband's brother is disgusting. Dru - that's not the way it went down - remember I told you about the paternity tests? Lily - except for one thing - does Malcolm know I'm his kid? Dru - he does - that's why he left - he didn't want to destroy our family. Lily - my life is all lies. Dru - no, Neil has been all that a father should be - he loves you with all his heart. Lily - I wish he was my real father - he's going to be devastated when he finds out. Dru - but he won't - I don't want anything to hurt our family or Neil - I love him so much. Lily - that's the way I feel about Daniel - I was coming to tell you we're still together - I want to be happy now - and if you don't find a way to make it OK for us to be together in public - I'll tell Neil the truth - you're move, Mother.

NEED TO MOVE ON: On his way to AC gym - Paul sees Ashley - hey ~kiss~ how are you? Ash - I'm surviving - I'm spending a lot of time in the lab - I know you think I work too hard. Paul - have you heard of delegating? Ash - I try. Paul - it's not easy for you - yet you're the first one to jump in when someone else needs help. Ash - I leap before I look - a lot of good it does me. Paul - what you tried to do for your father may not have changed the outcome - but it one of the most beautiful acts of love I've ever seen (he takes Ash's hand). Ash smiles - I'm glad I ran into you tonight. Paul - me too - want more wine? Ash - I'd better not. Paul - then maybe we should plan some fun - have you ever been skydiving at night? Ash - I hope you're kidding. Paul - I am - how about a movie? Ash - don't be mad - but I have to finish up at the lab - the product I'm working on could turn the tide of bad press for Jabot. Paul - don't put up the wall again - you need to focus on you own life - you've been neglecting it for far too long. Paul's ~kiss~ makes Ash see she's been spending too much time at work - but she wants to go home and change - Paul promises to wait until she gets back.

** At the Abbott's - an emotional Phyllis (aside) - pull yourself together. Jack wanders in - there you are. Phyllis - I just wanted to get you some wine. Jack - are you upset about something? Phyllis - not at all. Jack - look at me - what's going on? Phyllis? Phyllis (on the verge of tears) - Jack, I'm so sorry. Jack - what do you have to apologize for? Crying Phyllis gives him a ~hug~ I've just made such a mess of everyone's life. Jack - is this about that run in you had with Dru? Phyllis - I just hope Lily didn't overhear us - but it's not just about that. Jack - if you don't tell me what's going on - I can't help you. Phyllis - my life is just such a mess right now. Jack - that makes two of us - let's put our heads together and figure a way out. Phyllis - I don't want to mislead you. Jack - what are you talking about? Phyllis - I should just go. Later - Phyllis comes back dressed - as she takes out her keys - Jack wonders if going home to check on Daniel is her real reason for leaving - no matter - you were incredible - I think we needed each other. Phyllis doesn't know about their relationship - I need time to think - Jack looks puzzled as she leaves.

When Ash gets home she finds Jack sitting in the dark - where's Phyllis? Jack - she went home - and I've been thinking how Dad made sure I knew there were no monsters in the house because I was afraid of the dark. Ash - I'm already missing his bear ~hugs~ I don't how I'll get through this without him. Jack shows her a letter that John left for them - I thought we should read it together. Jack starts reading the letter out loud - my dearest Jack and Ashley … he goes on to say how proud he is of both of them - they must know by now that Gloria has his proxy - it's very important to me that she continues to feel like she's part of this family - Jack, you are head of the family now - I'm putting my trust in you - and I know you will live up to that role - don't feel sad for me - I promise I'll be coming home again - we Abbotts are made of strong stuff - I love you both with my heart and soul - Dad. Jack puts his arm around Ash shoulder.

** Phyllis gets home - calls out for Daniel - maybe he's with Lily - she grabs a blanket and snuggles down on the sofa - turns on TV - now back to our movie - Lonely Night Blues - she turns it off - don't need to see that.

LOOK ON THE SUNNY SIDE: At CL - CC is hanging out with her 'old man' - the idea was to cheer you up. Brad - think I needed it - huh? CC - you've looked a little down since Victoria broke off your engagement. Brad - I don't blame her - she was under a lot of pressure. CC - do you believe that? Brad - I do - poor girl is so in love with me she doesn't know what to do with herself. CC - do you think it's possible that you and Victoria… Brad - will get back together? - I sure hope so. CC - if you don't - there are thousands of women out there who would love to be with a guy like you - what's so special about her anyway? Brad - she has this zest for life and a fiery spirit - it energizes me just being around her. CC - she dumped you - would you really want to take her back? Brad - if I didn't think she had feelings for me - I'd move on in a heartbeat - but I know what we shared - you don't forget something like that - is that how you feel about JT? CC - no, I've moved on. Brad - does that mean you're moving on with Daniel? CC - we're friends - but it's nothing like what I had with JT - is it going to be weird working with Victoria? Brad - we're both professionals - we work well together - and - best of all - we're friends. CC - JT and I were friends - but I have to get over it - he's with Mac now.

** At tackyhouse - Vikki and JT are going at it full blast - she takes off his shirt - he takes her down on the sofa. After the deed - Vikki asks JT if he's thinking about Mac. JT - come on… Vikki - you should be. JT - it's good to get my mind off things for awhile - how did we both end up like this? Vikki - I don't know the details about you and Mac - but I'm sure it's different than me and Brad. JT - I'm not so sure - it's a matter of trust. Vikki - if Mac did something to betray your trust - that's a tough one. JT - what about Brad? Vikki - he has been nothing but totally noble - but I'm tired of being second in line. JT - it's hard to believe any man would put you second. Vikki - with all that was going on - he had to put Ashley and Abby first. JT - can't fault him for doing the right thing - but you can only take so much. Vikki goes on to extols Brad's virtues. JT - you're doing a bad job if you want to forget him - maybe that's not what you want after all. Vikki - you're right - I don't want to forget about Brad and the wonderful times we've had together. JT - I thought you'd be married by now - after you caught that bouquet. Vikki - I did too. JT - funny how relationships can turn on a dime. Vikki - are you talking about Mac? JT - yeah. Vikki - love is the most potent drug in the world - we always go back for more - all this has made me thirsty - want a soda? JT - yeah - as he puts his head down and dozes off.

** At downtown loft - Mac is thinking about the exchange between JT and Kevin - if you want her - you can have her - I'm out of here . . as he slams out. Kevin - have you heard anything from JT? Mac - ah no. Kev - I should head down to CL to close up for the night. Mac - go ahead - I'll be fine. Kev - I hate to leave you like this. Mac - I'm OK - I can call my grandmother to come over. Kev - if you need anything - promise you'll call? Mac nods. As Kevin leaves - Mac (aside) - JT, where are you? Later - Kay is giving Mac a ~hug~ I pray you weren't alone when this happened. Mac - Kevin was here. Kay - haven't you told JT? Mac - I told him a little while ago. Kay - you mean this evening? Mac nods. Kay - then where is he? Mac - he was so upset that I 'hadn't' told him - he took off. Kay - OMG - what is wrong with you, Jeffery Todd? Mac - don't blame him - I blew it - I should have told him like told me to - losing the baby didn't bother him as much as my confiding in Kevin. Kay doesn't think that will matter in the long run - you and JT have been through so much together - he won't throw it away - just like that. Mac - that makes me feel a little better. Kay - I'd feel better if you'd get some rest. Mac - I think I can sleep now - Grandma - you don't know how much your support means to me. Kay - and remember I'll always be here for you - let me know how you're doing. Mac - I promise I will ~hug~

** At CL: Kevin - what can I do for you, Mrs. C? Kay - you've already done it, Kevin. Kev - what do you mean? Kay - I'm grateful you were with Mac when it happened - you were a godsend. Kev - I'm glad someone sees that way. Kay - I surprised at JT's reaction - when I catch up with him - I'll have plenty to say (CC is listening) I'm so disappointed in him.

** At tackyhouse - Vikki brings JT his soda - only to find him fast asleep. Brad calls - leaves a voice message - oh well, I was hoping I could catch you - I wanted to say good night - I miss you - I'll see tomorrow at work - sleep tight. "When I've lost my way and can't get back". Vikki looking sad - Mac feeling JT bracelet waiting for him by the door.

MOURNING AFTER?: It's a brand new day in Genoa City, WI. At the outhouse - Nick is thinking about a morning when Phyllis put whipped cream on her pancakes - how can you do that? - a bowl of sugar would be more nutritious - have you tried them? - I can't say that I have - you should - they call them pancakes for a reason - it's so you can start your day off right with dessert - come on, try it - good isn't it? - actually it's not terrible - (Phyllis laughs) - want another bite? - come on… Sharon - no you can't have whipped cream. Noah - why not? Sharon - because you already poured on a ton of syrup. Noah - please, Mom - just a little bit. Sharon - Nicholas? Nick - you're Mom is right. Noah - you guys are no fun. Nick - you're right - we're terrible awful nasty parents - you don't get anything (Nick tickles him - Noah giggles) what are you laughing at? Sharon - you'd better eat - bus will be here soon. Noah - I just remembered - my class is having a bake sale today - can you make something quick? Sharon - Honey, I have to get work - I can't bake anything right now. Noah - so I can't bring anything to the bake sale? Nick - hold on - I've got a plan - we can cruise by the AC - we'll get Gina to fix us up - then I'll drive you to school - how does that sound? Sharon - great - thanks - phone rings - it's Brad - is Victoria there - no she's not, Brad - she's not here - and she's not answering her phone - would you mind checking on her on your way into work? - not at all - if I run into her I'll call you - thanks - I'm going to check on Victoria. Nick - go finish your breakfast, Bud - so now you're running errands for Brad too. Sharon - no, I'm doing this for Victoria.

** At Phyllis' - she comes down - what's with the look? Daniel - I'm going to be late for school. Phyllis - wait a second - what's wrong? Daniel - do you really need to ask me? Phyllis - what are you talking about? Daniel - I specifically asked you not to get into anything with Lily's mom - but you had to do it anyway - right? Phyllis - you heard about my conversation with Dru? Daniel - Lily overheard you. Phyllis - does that mean? Daniel - yeah - she knows that Neil isn't her real dad - thanks to you. Phyllis - I was afraid this might happen. Daniel - what does that mean? Phyllis - I saw Lily in the hall as I was leaving - how is she doing? Daniel - she's devastated and I don't know how to help her. Phyllis - you can help her see this doesn't mean anything - Neil was her father in every way that counted - I know what it's like to lose your family over a stupid mistake - I don't wish that for anyone.

** At the Winters - Dru is setting the table for breakfast when Lily comes out - Dru has fresh rolls from the bakery - Mom, you don't have to do anything special for me - I just want to make things right - so you're saying we should go on pretending to be the perfect family - why am I not surprised? - lying is what you do best - I don't want to be dramatic - but telling your father you're not his child will kill him - he loves you - that's how I feel about Daniel - you still expect me to talk to your dad? - I told you last night - Mom, I'm counting on you - you have to convince Dad to let me and Daniel be together - otherwise… otherwise what? I know you're not trying to blackmail me. Lily - it's not that - I'm just trying to find a way to with the person I love. Dru - you use that word like you think you know what it is. Lily - I do - your little girl is in love - I love Daniel more that anything in the world - accept that. Dru - I've worked too hard and long to pull this family together - I'm not going let anyone - including you - tear it apart . . . as she slams out.

Lily sits down and pouts. Neil comes in from his run - Honey, what's wrong - I just ran into your mom in the hall - she was so angry she got into the elevator and left - did you two have another argument? - Sweetheart, I want to help you - can't you talk to me? Lily - I wish I could, Daddy. Neil - I'm your dad - you can tell me anything. Lily - I wish I could - but you expect me to be your perfect little girl - I'm not her anymore - when I try to show you who I am - you get mad and disappointed. Neil tries to make Lily see that he has had nothing but unconditional love for her since she was born - but when she tries him out by telling him that she and Daniel are still together - Neil points out she was supposed to stay away from Daniel - what if I don't - then I'll have to send you back to boarding school. Lily - I'm not going back to boarding school - you'd better talk to my mom before you try to make me - now I'm going to school.

On patio at CL - Dru leaves a voice message for Malcolm - I don't know where you are - but as soon as you get this message - you need to get back to me - it's important.

At CL - Kevin is looking at the morning paper when Mac comes in - how you feeling? Mac - lousy. Kev - is there anything I can do? Mac - yeah, tell me where JT is - he didn't come home last night. Gloria watches preoccupied Mac walk by - goes on to say good morning to Kevin - how about giving your mother a good strong cup of coffee? Kevin - coming up - you look stylish this morning. Glo - thanks for noticing - I'm a working woman now - got to look the part (as she picks up the paper) Kev - that's the business section - are you looking for a job? - why didn't you talk to me or Mikey? Glo - it's not like that - John gave me his Jabot proxy - and I'm on my way to my first board meeting right now - I know - I have a lot to learn - but I can't wait to get started - I just hope those people (a headline catches her eye) I'll be darned. Kev reads headline "Victor Newman Banking N.V.P. Retreats" - what's the big deal? Glo - Jack is running Jabot into the ground and I plan on putting him on notice. (On patio - Mac leaves a voice message for JT - I know you're ticked at me - but will you please call me? Flips her cell shut - JT where are you?) Glo - so that's it - the spa's are getting all this wonderful publicity - everyone is saying what a wonderful concept this is - and Jabot has no part in it because Jack passed on this golden opportunity. Kev - I'm sure he had his reasons - what does that mean? Glo - Nikki - Victor - Phyllis. Kev - I get it - kind of clever (Glo scowls at him) no it's not - look - I know this isn't what you want to hear - but it's out of your hands now. Glo - give me that paper - I'm going to take it to the meeting so everyone can see what a big mistake Jack made. Kev - maybe you should chill out awhile before you start making waves. Glo - John gave me his proxy for a reason - it's my job to look out for his best interests ~kiss~ see you later.

** At AC - Ash reads headline too - 1st Gloria gets a proxy - now this. Jack - forget about it. Ash - is that your new strategy? Jack - I stand by what I said - these wellness centers are a losing proposition for Jabot - this is just Newman spin doctors. Ash - business press is eating it up. Jack - what we need is some positive publicity for Jabot - we can't afford to lay low with the hits we've been taking. Ash - any suggestions? Jack - no. Ash - well, I do - and you're going to love it. Jack - let's hear it. Ash - it's our new moisturizer - it should be ready for market by this summer - maybe sooner. Jack - that's just what we need - a hot new product - NE has wellness spas - let's focus on basics. Ash - and hope Gloria doesn't do anything to mess things up. Jack - you're looking forward to this board meeting as much as I am. Ash - she's a loose cannon. Jack - so why don't we tie that cannon down.

** At tackyhouse - JT wakes up on the sofa - looks at his cell. Vikki - good morning (hands JT come coffee) - looks like you have a message on your phone. JT - yeah, I can't believe I spent the night here. Vikki - you fell asleep - and I didn't want to wake you - I hope that's all right. JT - sure - so are you OK… Vikki - with last night? JT - yeah. Vikki - I'm fine. JT - are you sure? Vikki - I know this might sound strange - but it was almost therapeutic. JT - sometimes you don't know how much someone means to you until you try to get over him. Vikki - I hope you didn't think it was you - you were great. JT - you don't need to try to explain. Vikki - how do you feel? JT - it doesn't matter - what's done is done - I just have to figure out how to deal with it. Vikki - we're two grownups - we spent the night together. JT - I'm not sure everyone will see it that way. Vikki - if you're worried about Mac finding out - she won't hear from me. JT - same here - maybe you and Brad still have a shot. Vikki - too many complications - I don't think I'll get my hopes up - I have to get ready for work - you're welcome to stay - help yourself to anything in the kitchen - not much there. JT - thanks (looks at his cell) just as he starts out - Sharon is coming in - JT, what are you doing here? JT - I had some security things to tie up with Victoria - I thought it would be easier to get her undivided attention here. Sharon - where is she? JT - making a call - I don't know how long she'll be - but I should get going. Vikki - JT - I'm done - you can use the shower now. Sharon - go ahead, JT - I didn't mean to interrupt. Vikki - on second thought - you should go. JT - yeah.

Vikki closes the door - what? Sharon - nothing - I knew you and Brad called off your engagement - but JT? Vikki - what I do is none of your business or anyone else's for that matter. Sharon - I didn't mean to judge - but I didn't think JT was your type. Vikki - I didn't realize I had a type - I have to get to work. Sharon - Victoria, I wanted… Vikki - I don't have time right now - see you at the office.

Nick and Noah are still at the outhouse when Sharon comes back - did you see Vikki? Sharon - yeah - where is Noah? Nick - upstairs - why? Sharon - I'm worried about your sister - when I stopped by she had a man with her. Nick - so? Sharon - they spent the night together. Nick - you have to be kidding. Sharon - I'm serious. Nick - it's not like her to take home a strange guy. Sharon - he isn't - it was JT. Nick - JT Hellstrom - I thought he was with Mac. Sharon - I hope they've broken up - if they haven't - she'll be pretty upset when she finds out. Nick - we'd better forget this - if it gets out - some people may get hurt. Sharon - and Brad. Nick - yeah, poor Brad.

** At NE - Vikki is surprised to find Brad waiting in her office - did I forget about a meeting? Brad - I called you this morning and you didn't answer - I got worried - so I had Sharon check on you. Vikki - that explains it - my SIL seems a little too interested in my life - it gets tiring - why did you want to see me? Brad - to give you this (Brad shows her a painting) Vikki - it's beautiful. Brad - I thought you'd like it. Vikki - but this doesn't change anything. Brad - when I saw this farm in Tuscany - I thought of you - read this. Vikki - a beautiful woman is a work of art - Brad - why are you doing this? Why can't you accept that we're through? Brad - because I don't accept it - after they argue again - Vikki asks him to back off - that's all that I need from you right now. Brad leaves without another word.

** At CL - JT finds Mac working on patio - hi, I got your message - I'm sorry I worried you. Mac - I thought you might have been in an accident or something. JT - I just needed some space. Mac - now that you've had time to cool off - maybe you'll listen to my side of this. JT understands about losing the baby - how hard that was for both of them - what he can't understand is why Mac told Kevin when it was his baby - I should have been with you - be straight with me - do you have feelings for him? Mac -of course not - we're friends. JT - why do you always turn to someone else - are we pretending here? Mac - how can you even ask me that? Kev - I'm sorry. JT - that's OK - we're done. Mac wants some time alone - Kevin won't move - I always felt better after we talked. Mac let's it all hang out - I'm afraid JT and I won't be able to get past this - I love him so and I want him in my life. Kevin - don't give up yet - you know how much difference a day makes.

** At Jabot - Glo thinks she's early when no one else is there - meanwhile at AC - Jack has arranged to cancel the meeting - Nick greets Jack - I'm sorry about your dad - thanks - how you holding up? - I'm hanging in there - Phyllis comes in - Red come here - I was about to sing your praises to this young man - if it hadn't been for Phyllis - I wouldn't have got through the last few days. Noah stops by to tell his dad that Gina got him fixed up - we can leave in a few minutes - mentions he's as excited about bake sale as going to Paris. Jack gets a call - I have to leave - but I'll see you later ~kiss~ Nick - you and Jack? Phyllis - how do you feel about that? Nick - he's a good guy - he shouldn't be alone right now. Phyllis - being alone is hard for me too. Nick - I know that. Phyllis - Noah seemed excited about the trip. Nick - we all are - we haven't done much as a family for quite a quite awhile now. Phyllis - I'm happy for you - we're both lucky to have amazing people in our lives - it's remarkable what we shared - no one can take that away from us. Noah - I'm ready. Nick - I'll be right with you - I'll see you around.

** At NE - Sharon runs into Brad - how did it go with Vikki? Brad - she's not giving me an inch - but I know I can win her back. Sharon - maybe that's not such a good idea. Brad - why would you say that. Sharon - because of what I found out this morning.

TALES WITH TAILS: As this new day continues in Genoa City, WI - at NE - Brad wants to know what Sharon found out this morning - spill it. Sharon - there is no other way to say this - Victoria is not as committed to you as you are to her - that's why she called off the engagement - she's never going to marry you, Brad. Brad - did she say that? Sharon - not in so many words. Brad - what words did she use? Sharon - it's not important - she called it off and she really meant it - you need to accept that. Brad - tell me how you really feel. Sharon - I'm sorry - I don't mean to hurt you - but that's the truth. Brad - I'm sure you don't - but I think I know more about Victoria's feelings than you do. Sharon - not anymore you don't - Victoria has…

Vikki - has what? Sharon - you've changed our ads from TV to print - I was getting Brad up to speed. Vikki - I'm sorry - I was going to tell you when I saw you earlier. Brad - no problem - you had a lot on your mind. Vikki - I haven't gotten anything done here - maybe I'll have better luck at home. Sharon - OK - then we'll see you later. Vikki - see you later. Brad - what were you about to say? Sharon - I probably shouldn't say anything. Brad - no - you brought it up. Sharon - at least let's go somewhere more private. Brad - after you. Sharon - where did this painting come from? Brad - I gave that to Victoria just before I ran into you. Sharon - it's lovely. Brad - really? Sharon - of course - that's Tuscany - what a romantic gesture. Brad - that's the reaction I hoped I get from Victoria. Sharon - did you get it? Brad - you know I didn't. Sharon - I just don't want you to get hurt - I know Victoria's attitude about getting married has changed. Brad thinks Sharon is trying to sabotage his relationship with Victoria. Sharon - how could you possibly think that? Brad - listen - I'm glad things are working out for you and Nick - I've tried my best to be your friend and at times that hasn't been easy. Sharon - I know - I thank you for that. Brad - then how about returning the favor. Sharon - I'm trying to - I want you to be happy. Brad - if you mean that - keep whatever negative things you have to say to yourself - OK? Sharon - you don't understand, Brad. Knock…knock Brad - come in.

CC - I hope I'm not interrupting. Sharon - that's OK, Colleen - I was just leaving - I think you should take my advice. CC - do you have time for me? Brad - of course I do ~hug~ always. CC - I'll make this quick - I've made a decision. Brad - about what? CC - I want to stay here instead of going back to NYC - if you'll have me. Brad - you know how much I'd like to have you here - Abby would love it too - I just need to know that this really what you want. CC makes her case - without mentioning JT - when Brad brings up Daniel - she admits they are friends - who knows what may happen. After Brad gives his OK - he needs to take off to take care of something - CC guesses it's to see Victoria - I know you'll win her back. Brad - I hope you're right - see you later.

** At CL: Kevin - do really think this is it for you guys? Mac - you heard JT when he left - did he sound like he wants to have anything to do with me? Kev - no, but maybe you're better off. Mac - how can you say that? I wasn't up front about the pregnancy - he had every right to be upset. Kev - what are you going to do now? Mac - I don't know - I feel like my world has been turned upside-down - I thought I could count on JT - but he didn't come home last night - and I had a terrible feeling about where he was. Kev - do you think he spent the night with Colleen? Mac - they've gotten close since she came back. Kev - you shouldn't jump to conclusions - JT could have been anywhere - why think of worst case scenario? Mac - wherever he was - he didn't want to be with me - I'm not going let this get me down - I have work to do and I'm going to get to it. Kev - me too. Kev comes back later to check on Mac - she's doing just fine - he has everything ready for their taxes - I'm going to leave now - call me if you need me - OK?

** At the AC - JT takes a drink of his OJ and thinks about last night with Vikki - then remembers this morning - I can't believe I spent the night here - you fell asleep - I didn't want to wake you - I hope that's all right - sure, so are you OK - with last night? - yeah - I'm fine - are you sure? - I know this may sound strange but it was actually therapeutic - sometimes you don't know how much someone means to you until you try to get over them… back in real time - he signs the tab.

** At tacky house - Vikki finds that she left a file she needs at the office - so much for working at home - as she starts to leave - she finds JT on her doorstep - what's up? JT - I just wanted to touch base with you. Vikki - I told you I was OK on the phone. JT - I called your office - they said you left. Vikki - if you're asking if I saw Brad - he was waiting for me. JT - how did that go? Vikki - it was hard - but I got through it - how are you doing? JT - I'm fine. Vikki - I know I'm single - are you still attached? JT - I'm trying to figure that out - I can't believe we did what we did? Vikki - we were both in a funk - things just happen. JT - any regrets. Vikki - none - how about you? JT - what guy could ever regret being with you?

** At the loft - Kevin is eating lunch when JT comes in - is Mac still at the CL? Kev - why - do you want to apologize for being such a jerk? JT - I'll bet you'd love that, Fisher - you don't want us to patch things up - you want to play hero so you can weasel your way into her life. Kev - you're giving me too much credit - I've only been there for Mac. JT - I'll bet you loved it when she came to you instead of me about the baby. Kev - she didn't think you could handle it. JT - I'll bet you kept that going. Kev - if you want to blame me - that's OK - but she needs someone. JT - that's not you - so back off!

** At CL - CC greets Mac - I'm meeting Lily but she's not here - so I'll just go. Mac - just a minute - was JT with you last night?

FREEZE OUT: At Jabot - Gloria is upset - you can't do this, Jack. Ash - isn't this a little extreme? Jack - under the circumstances - no. Glo - please drop the act, Ashley - you knew what was going on. Jack - Ash had nothing to do with this - I did it on my own. Glo - I know what's going on - you're both trying to freeze me out. Jack - and I make no apology for it. Glo - your father gave me his proxy - I have a right to be here. Jack - my father wants a functioning company more than he wants a power grabbing wife. Glo - you can't do this. Jack - I just did - give up - there is nothing you can do. Glo - that's where you're wrong. Ash - don't even think about going to Dad. Glo - I'd never do that - he doesn't need anymore heartbreak. Jack - which is why I'm trying to protect his legacy. Glo - by forcing his wife out? Your father wants me to be his eyes and his ears. Jack - but he doesn't expect you to run the company. Glo - why not - I have a woman's unique perspective. Ash - we all know you don't have the necessary skills. Jack - get your designer purse and go max out my dad's credit cards. Glo - that's all you think I can do - I know you want me out of here - but I'm warning you - you're making a big mistake - and I'm not going to let you get away with it. Ash and Jack argue about what to do about Gloria. Jack - business world is a jungle - not a petting zoo - Gloria is going to have to learn that.

** At AC - while Kay is reading the morning paper - someone calls to tell her the Jabot board meeting has been canceled - I wonder why? Gloria comes over - you're just the person I wanted to see - there are things happening at Jabot I think you should know about. Glo goes on to explain what Jack and Ashley are doing to her - and what John wants by giving her his proxy - then asks for Kay's help and wonder of wonders she gets it. Kay makes a call to Jack - you'll never guess who I have with me. Jack - Gloria - let me tell you what is going on? Kay - you can do it at a board meeting - let me know when you'll have it - I'll be there. Jack turns to Ash - the board meeting is back on. Glo smiles - thank you, Katherine.

WINTERS TALE: Daniel - what do you mean - you told your dad about us? Lily - I had to - he gave me this big speech about how I could tell him anything - I was dumb enough to fall for it - now he's threatening to send me back to you know where. Dan - great. Lily - don't worry - I think I have it handled. Dan - how? Lily - I told my mom that if she didn't get my dad to back off - I was going to tell him about her and Malcolm. Dan - you'd really do that? Lily - you know I don't want to hurt my mother - but if this is our only chance to be together - I would. Dan - I don't know, Lily - I think you're making a huge mistake - you don't want to do this to your mother. Lily - she's giving me no choice. Dan - telling your dad he's not your father - don't you see how messed up that is? Lily - I don't want to do it. Dan - then don't - this isn't a get-out-of-jail-free card - use this once and it's all over. Lily - if I don't do this - I'm on my way back to New Hampshire - is that what you want? Dan - try talking to them again. Lily - it won't do any good - I can't stand being away from you again - that's why I have to go through with this. Dan comes over to ~hug~ Lily. Daniel tries to reason with Lily - this isn't a stupid argument that's going to blow over - do you really want to punish Neil for something he didn't do? Daniel sends Lily home hoping that being the sweet nice person who wouldn't hurt anyone will kick in. Lily - my mom knows how I feel - I hope she can talk some sense into my father.

** Neil is looking at a picture of Lily - when Dru comes in - hello, Honey - I want to apologize for the way… Neil - you don't have to finish - I talked to Lily - she told me everything. Dru - meaning what? Neil - she told me she and Daniel are still seeing each other - I assume she told you - looking at how you tore out of here. Dru - it's a shock - huh? Neil - oh, Dru - Lily had some pretty strong words for me - I feel like I've lost my little girl forever. Dru - no, she'll always be your little girl. Neil - I can't believe how desperate she is to be with this kid - she wouldn't listen to a single word I said. Dru - I think we should take a step back and cool off - I'm sure there's a way we can all get through this. Neil - there is only one thing we 'can' do - Lily is going to hate us for it - we have send that girl back to New Hampshire. Dru - that's not an option - I don't want to send her away again. Neil - did I hear you right? - I thought we were on the same page. Dru - I'm saying there are worse things that could happen than those two getting together. Neil - I'm confused - do you really think it's all right for Lily and Daniel to be together? Dru points out that Lily will be going off to college soon - you may think taking a stand on Daniel is worth it - I don't. Neil is wondering about the 360 Dru has gone through - I know something else is going on here - if you don't tell me now - I'll ship our daughter back to boarding school. Phyllis - where - in the post office? Mikey - I never liked that one - these are wedding photos from table cameras. Phyllis - these are sweet - can I have them? Mikey - sure - we have loads of copies - may I have a Scotch straight please (Phyllis sees a picture with Nick and thinks of their close encounter) what are you looking at? Phyllis - nothing - I was just noticing how glowing Lauren looked. Mikey - yeah, she looked like an angel - so what's wrong? Phyllis - nothing. Mikey - liar - you had an inner glow the last time I saw you - something has changed - I think I know what it is. Phyllis - get the tarot cards. Mikey - I don't need them - things aren't going well in your new business venture and you're morbidly depressed. Phyllis - everything is fine - I saw a picture of myself - I didn't look that good. Mikey - vanity - let's see. Phyllis - no - they're mine - have you ever wanted something and knew you couldn't have it. Mikey - about a 1,000 times till I met Lauren - is this about Jack - is he being unreasonable again? Phyllis - he's fine - I love Jack - I probably always will - but I'm not in love with him anymore. Mikey doesn't understand sort of being with a guy she doesn't really love - neither does Phyllis - when you do figure out - tell me - then we'll both know.

** In Jabot boardroom - Jack is fuming - the gall of that woman! Ash - when you canceled the board meeting Gloria went running to Katherine - I told you she would. Jack - we need to work on a strategy for damage control. Kay (with Glo tagging along) - no, Jack - you need to work on a strategy to put Jabot back on top - I wish you hadn't canceled today's meeting. Jack - under the circumstances… Kay - do you mean the bad press Jabot has been getting - or Gloria's getting John's proxy? Jack - may I speak to you alone? Glo - point of order. Jack - this isn't a board meeting. Kay - Gloria, you haven't been seated. Glo - I have John's proxy - I should have his seat. Jack - if you think I'll just stand by… Ash - we don't have a quorum - other members need 24 hours notice before we can call a meeting. Kay - but we can have an informal ad hock meeting. Jack - for? Kay - to vote on supporting Gloria for a board position. Glo - what does that mean? Kay - we'd bring this vote to a regular board meeting - support means we'd back you. Jack - why are we wasting time on this? Kay - I insist - Gloria has a point of view and I think she should be heard. Glo - thank you, Katherine. Jack has a fit - but Kay tells him to give Gloria a chance to state her case. Glo takes the floor - gives several reason why she should have John's seat - Kay takes a vote - Jack and Ash vote no and to everyone's surprise so does Kay - she doesn't feel Gloria has enough experience - Glo is willing to learn - Kay points out that the board isn't the place to do it - when Gloria goes off in a huff - Kay stops Jack's rant - Gloria was ready to go to the press with more bad news about Jabot - I've giving you some time - figure out how to give her a place at Jabot - as Jack points out - where she'll be least likely to give us grief.

** Gloria finds Mikey with Phyllis at AC - starts ranting about what Jack, Ashley and Kay did to her. Mikey takes off to talk alone - be careful what you say about Jack in front of Phyllis. Glo tells Mikey about having John's proxy and being kicked to the curb - I expected it from Jack and Ashley - but Kay? Mikey - she's a business woman - using a little discretion would be good. Gloria agrees. Mikey may have some ideas about how to help.

** Back at the bar - Phyllis thinks Nick sits down with her and tells her he is leaving his family - I can't live without you - she looks at the chair again and it's empty.

BEST MADE PLANS: Brad is looking for Victoria at tackyhouse - when he finds she's not there he starts to write something on a white envelope. Victor comes in - hello, Brad - I gather my daughter isn't here. Brad (puts envelope in his pocket instead of leaving it on table) no she isn't. Victor - I'm surprised to see you here - isn't your engagement off? Brad - not as far as I'm concerned. Victor - what does she say about that? Brad - you'll have to ask her. Victor - I will. Brad - if you talk to Victoria - I hope you won't go out of your way to be negative. Victor - are you expecting me to sabotage your relationship with my daughter? Brad - I'm expecting you to be positive - you hired me - you wouldn't have done that if you didn't trust me. Victor - trusting you in business is one thing - with my daughter's heart is something else. Brad - didn't you want me to stand by Ash? Victor - for Abby's sake I agreed with that. Brad - it's all over - there is nothing standing in our way - once Victoria heals I think we'll be moving forward. Victor - my daughter has a mind of her own - she doesn't care what her parents think - I admire your determination, Brad - I 'almost' feel sorry for you. Brad - think about what I said - because I'm not giving up.

** At NE - Vikki tells Nick she is sick of the weather - I'm so ready for Spring. Nick - it looks like it's started for some of us. Vikki - meaning? Nick - your little fling with JT. Vikki - Sharon just couldn't keep her mouth shut. Nick - she is my wife. Vikki - go ahead - tell me you disapprove. Nick - you're a grown woman - you can do what you want - are you officially single? Vikki - it looks that way. Nick - so things are over with Brad? Vikki - last night kinda blew my mind - 1st I'm talking about taking it slow with Brad - then I'm sleeping with another guy - you don't do that if you're in love - right? Nick - that isn't always true - even when two people have differences - love doesn't just disappear - it more complicated than that - you have to look inside your heart and decide how you really feel about Brad. Vikki knows she's angry with him and hurt because he waltzed in expecting to just move on. Nick - you're hurt because you care - this thing with JT was to cover up the pain? Vikki - I guess I was trying to prove to myself I was over Brad. Nick - did it work? Vikki - no - but I've made my life so much more complicated - I wish we talked before last night. Nick - maybe you weren't ready to admit the truth - it took this to make you see it - what are you going to do? Vikki - could I start things up with Brad again and not tell him? Nick - take some time and think this out - you don't have to do it in one day. Vikki - I thought you'd be glad I broke it off with Brad - where is this coming from? Nick - maybe your brother has matured a little. Vikki - when Mom brought you home - I wanted her to take you back - now I think we should keep you. Just then - Brad comes in - wants to talk to Victoria - I can come back. Nick - that's OK - I was just leaving. Nick checks his cell before he heads for home. Brad has a shock for Victoria - he hands her a letter - I can't see you every day - this is my resignation. Vikki - maybe you should think about this. Brad - I already have - goodbye. As Brad starts to walk out - Vikki calls out for him to wait. (it looks like that was just what Brad expected)

** At the outhouse - Nick finds his dad waiting for Noah with a basketball - I thought we could shoot a few hoops. Nick - he's at a friend's - he'll be home later - he'd love that. Victor has a surprise for Nick too - I've rented some space in a chateau just outside Paris for you to use on your trip - your mother and I had a wonderful time there - I hope it will be the same for you and Sharon. Nick - Dad, this is great ~hug~ I don't know how I can ever thank you. Victor - just enjoy yourselves - his cell rings - I have to take this. With his dad gone - Nick picks up the 3 monkeys - he is thinking about Phyllis - I just have to let you go - I just have to.

WINTERS TALE: Lily - what's going on? Neil - this family is on verge of coming apart. Lily - why? Dru - because you insist on seeing Daniel no matter what we say. Lily - is that all it is? Neil - what do you mean - what else could make us hurt that much? Lily - I thought you hated Daniel. Neil - what he does to you - not the person - but for some reason - your mother seems to have changed her mind about him. Dru - I just wanted us to find some middle ground. Neil - there isn't any - Lily, that day we went shopping - I thought we were getting close. Lily - we were - I loved doing that with you - I love you, Dad. Neil - I love you too - that's why you're going back to boarding school. Lily - I won't - tell him you won't let him do that. Dru - can I have a few minutes alone with Lily. Neil - don't make me out to be the bad guy - I haven't changed my mind - but I'll get some fresh air - Lily, you'd better start packing. Lily - Mom, please do this for me. Dru - you know this will break your dad's heart - you'll do this just so you can get what you want - are you really that heartless? Lily - I don't want to hurt anyone. Dru - you can't tell your father - it will ruin him. Lily - you mean Neil. Dru - no, I mean your father - Neil has been there for you since you were born - I've done all I can - but you'd better think long and hard before you tell him - because whatever happens will be on your head. Dru rushes out leaving a crying Lily.

MAC ON A MISSION: At CL - Mac asks CC if she was with JT last night. CC - do you mean here? Mac - did you spend the night with him? CC - where would you get an idea like that - why are you asking that? Mac - you're not answering my question - do you have something to hide? CC - JT and I are friends - and for you to imply… Mac - I'm not implying anything - did you spend last night with him - yes or no? CC - no. Mac - why didn't you say that in the first place? CC - because of your attitude - you freaked me out - it sounded like you were accusing me. Mac - I didn't mean to sound like that. CC - if you want to know where he was - you should ask him - don't you think? Frosty Mac walks off.

** At downtown loft - Kevin tells JT to hit him - that will solve all your problems. JT - don't I wish. Kevin - that's what you've wanted from day one - let's finish this. JT - so you can run to Mac and make her feel sorry for you? Kevin - I'd show her what a loser you are - where were you last night? - you're looking guilty as hell. JT - I don't owe you any explanation. Kevin - if you want me to shut-up just answer the question. JT grabs his jacket - let it go - I don't have to tell you a damn thing.

** Back at CL - JT comes looking for Mac - instead of telling right away - CC tells him about staying in GC - that's great - but have you seen Mac? CC - she was here - she was kinda freaked out. JT - what happened? CC - she asked me if you were with me last night - can you believe that? JT - you told her - right? CC - I tried to - but she was so upset I don't think she heard me - where were you last night? JT - I'm sorry I got you involved - I have to find Mac and explain a few things.

** Back at loft - Kevin is making lunch when Mac comes in - was JT here? Kev - yeah - but he left. Mac wants to know what JT said - Kev puts her off - you know he doesn't talk to me - did you find something out? Mac - I asked CC if she's been with JT - she didn't give me a straight answer - so now I'm not sure - but I do know one thing - JT and I have to work this out by ourselves - I want you to leave. Shocked - Kevin gets his jacket and leaves. When JT gets back - he wants to know how Mac is doing. Mac is fine physically but really confused about their relationship - did you spend the night with Colleen? JT - no - didn't she tell you that? Mac - yes, but I wanted to be sure - I feel better now - I'm so relieved JT - maybe you shouldn't be.

SMARTER WAYS TO DO BUSINESS: Like sand through the hourglass - time moves on in Genoa City, WI. At AC - Mikey can't talk Gloria into doing what she does best - spend John's money - if your going to run with the big dogs - you'll need my help - all you've done so far is alienate everyone. Glo - I'm listening. Mikey - when you're a minority stock holder - you can't do it by yourself - you have to find likeminded colleagues and build alliances - and don't burn any bridges - today's enemies may be tomorrow's allies.

** In the meantime at Jabot - Kay suggests that Jack and Ashley put their heads together and find a way to keep Gloria involved at Jabot - pacify her - make her feel important. Jack - there is only one thing wrong - she has the instincts of a feral cat - she won't be easy to fool. Kay - you know we have to do this - she needs a place in the cockpit. Ash - but with no buttons to push. Jack - just the way I wanted to spend my time - feeding step-mom's overblown ego.

** Kay is on the phone when Gloria comes back - I want to apologize for what happened earlier - it's not necessary - I want to explain - you know how much I love John - I was acting like I thought he'd want me to - you were trying to protect his interest in Jabot - I know I went about it wrong - I don't want to be a problem - I hope you'll forgive me - apologize accepted - I also want you to know I can keep my mouth shut - I hope you'll give me another chance. Kay thinks about it - you don't have enough experience - you could be a problem - Glo wants to make a deal - if I cause any trouble - I'll back away from Jabot and play golf - Kay laughs - you've got a deal - but you have to promise there will be no shenanigans - I promise - none at all - don't you disappoint me - no ma'am.

** Mikey runs into Ash at AC - I talked to Gloria - Ash tells him they will be doing everything they can to make her feel welcome at Jabot - she is my father's wife - how about Jack? - if she goofs up - we'll come down on her - we're trying to run a business . . as she walks off.

WILL LOVE KEEP US TOGETHER?: At CL - Kevin wants Colleen to admit she and JT slept together - that way Mac will see what a lying jerk he is and dump the guy. CC - what makes you think I'd care if they break up? Kev - I'm not stupid - I know you want the guy. CC - what I want is none of your business - BTW - you're not fooling anyone. Kev - meaning? CC - you want JT gone so you can tell Mac what she really needs in her life is you. Kev - what's wrong with that? CC - I don't care - it's her funeral. Just then - Daniel blows in - hi, guys. Kev - you don't look happy. Dan - I'm not. CC - what's wrong? Dan - it looks like Lily's parents are sending her back to New Hampshire and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. CC commiserates with Daniel - I know what breaking up with someone you love is about. Dan - I can't see you with JT. CC - you can't help who you love. JT comes in - CC may change her mind about leaving - JT tells her he broke up with Mac.

** At downtown loft - Mac doesn't understand what JT means. JT - do you really want to get into this? Mac - yes, I've been worried that you spent the night with Colleen. JT - I told you I didn't. Mac - you're starting to scare me - what's going on? JT - I don't know where to start. Mac - where were you last night? JT - you don't want to know. Mac - are you saying what I think you're saying? JT - I'm sorry… Mac - stop - I get it - you slept with someone else - I don't need the details. JT - I wasn't going to tell you… Mac - then don't. JT - I didn't do this to hurt you. Mac - of course not - we only live together. JT - if I could take it - I would - in a heartbeat. Mac - how long would I have to wait until it happens again - when something upsets you… JT - something? Is that all it means to you? You're talking was our baby, Mac - the minute you started to lose it you turned to someone else - not the father - guy you live with - guy you supposedly love. Mac - I'm sorry I went to Kevin first - but if you're trying to say what I did and you did are the same… JT - I'm not. Mac - obviously - living together meant something different to you - let's leave it at that. JT - OK - if that's how you want it - I don't know what else to say. Mac - there's nothing to say. JT - want me to leave? Mac doesn't answer. JT - I care about you. Mac - then maybe you should go. JT does - without another word. Kevin is trying to make Mac see that JT's leaving isn't her fault and Mac is happy to have a friend like Kevin. Kev - we need to make sure JT doesn't come back - either he moves out or we do.

** At NE - Brad thinks all has been said. Vikki - not quite - do you want to tear this resignation letter up or should I? Brad - I'm not backing down. Vikki - I didn't ask you to. Brad - are you saying you want me back in every sense of the word? Vikki - I want to give 'us' another try. Brad - but no engagement? Vikki - not for now. Brad - I think I can live with that. ~kiss~ Brad - what do I do with the rock? Vikki - put it in a safe place. Brad - marriage is too serious right now. Vikki - now you're getting with the program - let's have fun. Brad - until? Vikki - we're ready. Brad - how about a date for tonight? Vikki - I think that can be arranged ~kiss~

JT stops by to see Vikki. Vikki - you look like you lost your best friend. JT - I did - Mac and I broke up - you didn't tell her - no, things were bad enough - any chance you'll get back together? - seeing other women tells you where my head is - how about you? - I'm putting my life back together - I'm glad one of us is - I'd better get going - see you around. Nikki comes in - hi, JT. JT - hi, Mrs. Newman - I was just leaving. Nikki - Victoria, you have been holding out on me - I thought you'd be more careful about having your boy toy at work. Vikki - does everyone in this town know I slept with JT? Brad is just outside the door.

** At outhouse - Nikki brings by photo albums Nick asked for - Nick and Sharon - The Early Years - I'm curious - are you making a collage as a gift for Sharon? Nick - these are for me. Nikki - are you looking for something special? Nick - yeah - something I don't want to lose - I'm trying to reconnect with my life - Mom, don't look at me like that - it's not bad. Nikki - you and Sharon have been trough some tragic times. Nick - some amazing times too - 10 years of memories. Nikki - you two have something very special. Nick sits back in his chair - starts looking at his life - with Sharon - holding Noah . . I should feel like the luckiest guy in the world - why don't I? Why can't I stop thinking about Phyllis? Later Sharon walks in - stands behind Nick - that's our story - you and me - she sits down on arm of chair and they look at pictures together.

** At NE - Sharon stops by 1100 - hi, Phyllis - Nikki asked me drop this off. Phyllis - thanks - doing errands for Nikki now? Sharon - I don't mind - she's done plenty of favors for me - she's my MIL - I want to keep her on my side - what? Phyllis - I was just admiring your glow - one of our products? Sharon - no, it's called Nicholas Newman. Phyllis - humm? Sharon - my terrific husband never ceases to amaze me - I don't how or when it happened - but the man I married is back - it's like we're newlyweds. Phyllis - great. Sharon - I prayed this would happen - I didn't want our days to continue to be affected by the loss of our daughter. Phyllis - I can't even imagine how hard that must be for you. Sharon - it's been bad - but it's like Nick has come alive again - and he suddenly knows how much I mean to him.

Neil - sorry for interrupting - Phyllis, I need to talk to you - I think it's about time you do something about that son of yours. Phyllis - what are you talking about? Neil - in spite of my efforts - your son is being disrespectful - he is still seeing my daughter. Sharon - I should leave. Neil and Phyllis watch her go. Neil - did you know Daniel is still seeing Lily? Phyllis - I just found out. Neil - you couldn't pick up the phone and tell me? Phyllis - I didn't because I knew this would happen. Neil - what kind of a parent are you? Phyllis - excuse me. Neil - you have no control over that boy - you let him do whatever he wants - no matter who he hurts. Phyllis - he's not hurting anyone.
