Nick is trying his best to defend his actions telling Sharon that he did not intend to get involved with Phyllis but Sharon isn't buying it. She wants to know how long their affair has been going on and wants to know what Phyllis has that she doesn't. Nick tells her nothing, Sharon doubts it and tells him about the photo from Michael and Lauren's wedding. She says that in the photo she could see the way he was looking at Phyllis, like he was undressing her with his eyes. Sharon asks him when his affair began, he tells her the night of the wedding. Nick tells her that he gave Phyllis a ride home and went up to her place, they had a drink but he assures Sharon that his intention was not to sleep with Phyllis, it just happened. Sharon realizes it was the same night she was out of town on business with Brad. She tells Nick she felt so guilty about what almost happened between her and Brad and here Nick was having sex with another woman. She blasts him for the way he behaved when she told him about her and Brad, while he had just slept with Phyllis. Nick tells her that Phyllis was his past and that he ended the affair. Sharon thanks him for finally ending it but it does not excuse what he did. When she asks if he still has feelings for Phyllis, Nick is silent. Sharon has her answer and says that at least he's being honest now then walks away visibly hurt.

Kevin is blasting his mother for what she did not thinking of the consequences of her actions. He talks about Abby and what the cream did to her. Gloria says she didn't know Abby would play with the cream and it was not her intention to hurt Abby. Kevin talks about how this could hurt Jabot. Gloria tries to put the blame on Jack saying that if he didn't rush and send the promo kits out early this wouldn't have happened. Kevin tells her Jack is a businessman and that is how they do business. Gloria says she's not sorry for what she did and tells Kevin she's alone in this world now. He tells her she isn't. She says Michael has his own life now with the woman of his dreams and Kevin will soon have the woman of his. Kevin assures her that he would never leave her but she says she's got to start looking out for herself.

Ashley and Jack receive the test results and Ashley sees they are not the same. She realizes that another ingredient was added to the cream. Jack wants to know what the other ingredient was. Ashley says they don't have the equipment for that, but says she knows someone who does and that person owes her a favor. Ashley makes a phone call and the lady says she can do the test right away.

Drucilla meets Paul and Neil at the athletic club. They tell her about the papers and how Lily claimed Dru is deceased and Malcolm is her father. Dru is surprised. Neil wants to know why Lily would do something like that. Dru says most likely she did it out of anger as Lily hated her at the moment and was angry with Neil. Paul says that Lily perhaps had contact with Malcolm, but Dru says that isn't possible as no one has heard from him in months. Paul says that would make sense as to why Lily listed Malcolm as her father, because he is not reachable and she listed Dru as being dead people won't be able to ask questions and she'd be able to get married. Drucilla says that could definitely be the reason.

Michael meets Kay and Jill at the boutique and learns about the tainted cream. They ask him how this can affect their business. He says it could affect Jabot big time with possible lawsuits. Jill and Kay are both concerned and angry.

Paul arrives at Jabot and Ashley asks how he heard. Paul says Jack called him and asks how Abby is doing. Ashley says she'll be alright and he wonders how this could have happened. Jack says he has the feeling it was industrial sabotage.

Sharon comes out the room dressed and throws the lingerie in Nick's face telling him he can give it to his girlfriend as she's sure Nick would rather see Phyllis in it than Sharon. Nick begs her not to leave but Sharon doesn't listen. She storms out of the hotel. Phyllis is at the bar at the hotel and sees Sharon leaving but Sharon doesn't see her.

Drucilla and Neil are talking and Dru says Lily most likely did this to hurt them and figures she does not need her parents in her life anymore as she has Daniel now. Neil knows Lily needs them in her life, but Dru says if that were true Lily would have never given up everything she had to go and live in a shed with Daniel. Drucilla says she'll be right back while Neil is still wondering what is going on. He calls Lily on her cell and ask if she had dinner. She says no so he invites her to join him and Dru at the club. When she asks if she can bring Daniel, Neil says he would rather if it was just her. Lily says Daniel has to come too so Neil says okay. Dru comes back and learns Lily will be joining them for dinner but with Daniel. Dru says he seems to have accepted Daniel, Neil says no but he is trying to deal with it.

Nick sees the note Phyllis sent and then hears at knock on the door. It's Phyllis who says she was waiting at the bar and saw Sharon leave. Nick says great. Phyllis says Sharon did not see her, but Nick says that is not the point. She should not be there. Phyllis says she was worried about him and asks how he doing. Nick looks pissed. He tells her he doesn't want to talk to her. Phyllis says she's sorry and she wishes she could change what happened. He says they got caught and Phyllis wonders how Sharon found out. Nick says maybe through Daniel but Phyllis doubts it as Daniel already got his revenge on her. Nick says they really hurt Sharon. She asks where he's going to go and Nick says home to his wife; that he has to work things out. Phyllis says he should give Sharon time, but Nick is determined to win back his wife. Phyllis is about to say something, but Nick stops her saying she shouldn't say anything. Phyllis says she was just going to wish him good luck.

Sharon arrives home and is in tears. She looks at the picture Cassie drew when she was younger of the family and then looks at her wedding photo. When she sees the figurine of the monkeys, she smashes it against the door, breaking it into pieces. She breaks down crying. There are scenes with Sharon, Nick and Phyllis all remembering what happened and how the affair started. Sharon is shown very hurt. Nick and Phyllis are shown guilty.

Nick arrives home and Sharon asks him what he's doing there. Nick wants to work things out, but she doesn't. She tells him he should have never slept with another woman.

Lily and Daniel join Dru for dinner. Lily asks where her father is and Dru says he'll be back soon and requests to speak with Lily alone. Lily says whatever her mother has to say she can say to her husband. Dru just stares at them.

Jack and Ashley meet Kevin, Gloria, Jill, Michael and Kay at the athletic club. The test results are back and they know what happened. Kevin looks at Gloria, afraid they found out what she did.

SABOTAGE OR WHAT?: It's evening in Genoa City, WI. Kevin is with Lauren and Mikey at AC - news just gets worse. Mikey - miracle cream that burns your face - that's a tough sell on the best of days. Kev - we should have gone with them. Mikey - apparently it's none of our business. Kev - but it's Mom's business. Lauren - Abbotts just wanted their privacy. Kev - what did Ashley mean - she found the culprit? Lauren - if someone tampered with Ashley's formula on purpose - I hope they rot in jail. Kev - think that's what happened? Mikey - can't rule it out. Kev - what if they didn't think it would hurt anyone? Mikey - ignorance is no excuse - they would still be liable. Kev - this is bad. Lauren - I'm sure Jabot is covered for product liability - but they're going to take a hit for this - it's a good thing Jack knows what he's doing. Kev - maybe it's even too big for Jack. Mikey - at least we know now - this could have been so much worse. Kev - how much worse can it get? Lauren feels sorry for the Abbotts - talk about bad timing. Mikey - they've had more than their share of bad news. Lauren - how about Gloria? She must be unhappy. Kev - she didn't want any of this to happen - I should be there - she has no one sticking up for her. Mikey - it won't help - there isn't anything you can do. But Kevin is on his way!

** At Abbott's - Jack wants to know what Gloria is getting on Ashley for now. Glo is upset because Ash came into AC - made her announcement that scarred them half to death and walked away. Kay - Gloria - do you realize what is at stake here? Glo nods. Jill - Ashley, what did you find? Kay - what is in that cream of yours that is hurting people? Ash - I wish I'd discovered this before Gloria and Abby got hurt - there is definitely a foreign substance in the jars. Kay - what is it? Ash - we're having an independent lab to do a double-check - but I think I already know what it is. Jill's cell rings - Jill Abbott - what did the doctor say? It wasn't good news - both Jack and Jill get on the phone - they stop sending out product and production - plant manager is on his way over. Kay wants to know which jars are compromised - is this sabotage - or are we talking about plant contamination? Ash - I'm not sure - up to now only 12 dozen promo kits have been corrupted. Jill - you're not sure of that. Ash - I pulled a sample from the dock - it matches my formula perfectly. Jack - so first batch is only one contaminated. Kay - do we risk moving head? Jill - absolutely not - we're not sure there is more out there. Ash - Glo Again is officially dead - we're not shipping any product. Of course that doesn't take into account product that is out there already - retailers would have put it out like Lauren did. Jill - this whole thing could snowball - her cell rings - yes, Elision - what is it? Keep me posted - thanks. Emma Gibson - Lauren's customer is now on a ventilator.

Later - Jack is quizzing the manager - do you have any disgruntled employees? Kurt - not that I know of. Jill - Mr. Dornbush - how well do you know your employees? Kurt - I'll have a list of everyone who has filed a grievance or has been fired on my desk tomorrow morning. Jill - I want to be copied on everything. Ash gets a call from Gillian - lab has identified extraneous ingredient - it's a cleaning solvent. Jack - where are they stored? Kurt - away from any sensitive areas. Jill - what do you think - was this accidental - or is somebody out to get Jabot? They bat what to do around - Jack thinks they should keep it quiet for now - in case someone tampered with the product. Jack sees Kurt out - just as Kevin comes in - Gloria grabs him - if you'll excuse us - Gloria makes it clear to Kevin - she won't be found out if he keeps his mouth shut - I covered my tracks well.

FADE TO RED: Nikki comes into 1100 - Phyllis, you're still here too - that phone hasn't stopped ringing - remind me to send flowers to Paloma - she did such a great PR job - are you OK? Phyllis - I'm fine - what are you doing here so late? Nikki - I'm responding to some of these faxes - is it great to have such a positive reaction to our first launch? Phyllis - it is thrilling. Nikki - am I disturbing you? Phyllis - not at all - I thought I'd work late because it's quiet and I don't have to go home. Nikki empathizes with her - it must be difficult with Daniel gone - I know how it was with our teenagers - it doesn't matter what you try - sometimes it works - other times it doesn't - so why worry about it now - have you seen the DVD of launch - Paloma said she sent it over. Phyllis - it's right here . . she goes on to push for Sharon as spokesperson. Nikki doesn't agree - thinks they need a new face - one that is theirs alone - you're the person we need. Phyllis has a full plate already - will have to give it some thought. Nikki - I'm going to go - have a nice evening.

** At outhouse - Sharon asks Nick why she should listen to anything he has to say. Nick - because it can't end here - I won't let it - please don't throw away 10 years. Sharon - you should have thought about that before you slept with Phyllis. Nick - I don't want to lose you - you and Noah are the two most important things in the world to me. Sharon - what do you want from me, Nick? - do you want me to forget and go on pretending you and Phyllis didn't happen? Nick - I don't want you to forget - I want you to forgive - I want us to try put our family back together. Sharon - it's too late for that - you've already destroyed everything. Nick - I don't blame you for being angry - believe me - I never meant to hurt you. Sharon - I don't - if you'd given this a second of thought and still slept with Phyllis - that would mean… Nick - this wasn't about you. Sharon - no, it's about you sleeping with another woman while pretending our marriage was stronger than ever. Nick - we both know there was a hole in our lives - that's why you reached out to Brad. Sharon - what I did was completely different - I was tempted but I restrained myself. Nick - you're right - I used my relationship with Phyllis to escape. Sharon - from me? Nick - no, the pain of losing Cassie. Sharon - don't you dare use Cassie's death as an excuse for your infidelity. Nick - I'm not - I blame myself. They go round and round - Sharon finally asks if sleeping with Phyllis helped - when Nick says yes - Sharon suggests he go be with his drug of choice - I'm sure she'll make you feel better. Nick - it's over with Phyllis - we can't let this go - I love you and I know you love me too. Sharon - I'm not sure I love you anymore. Nick thinks they can work their way through this. Sharon isn't sure - we lost a child and you rejected me. Nick asks for one more time to try to show Sharon how much she and Noah mean to him. They are arguing about it - when Noah calls - he doesn't want to stay at the Jackson's overnight - Nick will come get him. As Nick is leaving - Sharon warns him not come up to the bedroom - I don't want you in my bed. With Nick on his way - she calls Phyllis - clear your day - your spending some time with me.

WINTERS TALE - REALITY CHECK: At home - Devon wants to know who Neil wants him to go to dinner with. Neil - you, Dru, me, Lily and Daniel - all five of us together. Devon - no, I don't think so. Neil - I understand - you have feelings for Lily. Devon - it's not just that - are you OK with them being married? Neil - that's the way it has to be for now. Devon - why are you going along with it? Neil - I'm not happy - but for better or worse - we are family. Devon - so I should pretend I'm happy too - I'm not going to do that. Neil - I'm sorry to ask you this - but Lily won't come to dinner without Daniel. Devon - I'm sure she won't - but… Neil - she's long past listening to Dru and me - I was hoping if you talk to her - she might… Devon - she doesn't listen to a word I say. Neil - so do we kick her out of our family because she married someone we don't approve of? - like it or not - you're her brother - she might listen to you - I'm asking you to do me this favor.

** At AC - Dru doesn't know what else to say to Lily - I love you - I wish we could do this better. Lily - you've lied to me for a very long time - I can't forgive you - I won't. Dru - is that why I'm dead? Lily - what? Dru - I know about that forged document - mother deceased - how could you? Lily - that was only so they wouldn't try call you. Dru - is that really how you feel about me? Lily - do you expect me not to be bitter? - the man I thought was my father isn't! Dru - shh - quiet down. Daniel - can I say something? Dru - hurry up. Daniel - Lily told me about what happened with you and Malcolm - you need to understand she's upset right now and won't drop it. He becomes the voice of reason - what happened was a long time ago - nothing can be changed - you need to put it behind you so you can have a relationship with your mother - that is what you want - right? Dru - there is no point in rehashing this - you two have what you want - each other. Lily - you think that justifies the biggest lie ever? Dru - you keep pushing me and I'll have your marriage axed just like that (snaps her fingers) understand me? Lily - I do. Dru - your father and I will let this fly for now - our family needs to heal. Daniel - Lily, you need to forgive her - she's your mom. Lily - did you forgive your mother? Daniel looks down. Lily - I'm sorry - I didn't mean to hurt you.

Just then - Neil and Devon come in - it takes a little doing to get Devon to sit down - sorry we're late - have you ordered yet? Dru - we're waiting for you. Neil - before we eat - I have question - did your Uncle Malcolm sign this form? Lily - I forged his signature - I knew if they tried to call - they wouldn't find him. After dinner - Lily and Daniel say thanks for dinner - Neil points out they won't be having meals like this often - Lily gets it - gives back her credit card - Dru tells her to keep her cell and the car - we don't want you riding the bus to school - Neil wonders how they'll pay for gas and other expenses - Daniel points out they'll be getting part-time jobs till school out - Devon socks it home when he says they have no idea what it's like to be poor - or what the rest of their lives means. Despite the bad things said - Daniel and Lily don't want to make the same mistakes their parents did - family means too much to them. Devon adds insult to injury by giving Daniel his doggy bag. After telling her mom she loves her - and giving her dad a kiss good night - Lily and Daniel leave to do homework - education is important to them too. Devon - this is really wrong. At the playhouse - Daniel gets done before Lily does - she puts her stuff down - I don't want my dad to ever find out and I do love my mom - and we do know what forever is - we'll do it together ~kiss/kiss~

At the Winters - Neil puts paper in drawer - when Dru sends him off to shower - she tears it into small pieces - before she goes to join him.

NEVER A DULL MOMENT: At AC bar - Vikki is having a martini - a good looking guy gives her a smile - heads over - just as JT hands her a report - what's this? - your competitors - executives that Mr. Newman asked me to check into - you never know what's under a 3 piece suit - guess everyone has their little secrets - couldn't you have put this on my desk? - Mr. Newman told me to report to you personally as soon as I found something - oh joy, my father has you hunting me on my time off - we both know why - damn - I wish he wouldn't meddle - I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon - my dad is so transparent - he wants to cause trouble between Brad and me - it won't work - just don't blame me - having his name on my resume' looks pretty good - I won't put you between my dad and me - why does he hate Carlton so much? - that's simple - Brad doesn't cower when my dad walks into a room - he's his own man - that's good - a strong woman needs a strong man - it doesn't matter what my dad thinks - we're getting married - I haven't gotten my invitation in the mail yet - what's up? - can you imagine Brad's face if you walked into our wedding?

They are both laughing when Brad walks up - he reports that Abby finally went to sleep after the doctor gave her something for the pain - then asks JT what he's doing there - Vikki steps in - my dad hired him - for what? - it's confidential - we don't need to pretend this isn't comfortable to any of us - damn right it is - JT, thanks for bringing this by - anytime - see you - Brad wonders why Victor is pushing JT into Vikki's face. Vikki - this is my battle - let me fight it. Brad - like hell I will. Vikki - he's trying to get to you - don't let him - it will drive him crazy - when he sees how happy we are - trust me - he won't be playing anymore of these games. Brad - you know - I think you're right ~kiss~

WORSE GETS WORSE: Outside it's a bright new morning in Genoa City, WI. Inside at AC - Lauren is on her cell checking on Emma Gibson's condition when Mikey comes back with a basket of muffins - I take it she's still on ventilator. Lauren - this is unbelievable - poor woman came in to shop at boutique - now she's fighting for her life. Mikey - this isn't good and timing couldn't be more miserable - Jabot's founder has just been locked up for murder. Lauren - Abbott's are good people - what is this accident going to cost them? Mikey - being good people doesn't get you off the hook - if Gloria didn't have a financial stake in company - I'd be all over Jabot myself right now. Lauren - you would sue Jabot? Mikey - damn right I would - if that was you with your face burned - or a breathing tube down your throat - I'd make them pay. Lauren - how did something like this happen? Mikey reports speaking to Gloria - they use a cleaning solvent in processing plant - it was contaminated before it left there. Lauren - OMG. Mikey - they have insurance. Lauren - for medical costs - what about PR and loss of good will? Mikey - they'll take a hit - may be big - depending on how they handle it.

** At Abbott's - Jill is on her cell - that accounts for 6 out of the 7 - make sure you talk to every floor manager on each shift. Ash is on phone - I'm here - really? Jill - get back to me on that and please transfer me upstairs. Jack answers phone - hello - no, we haven't heard anything - wait… Ash - she's out - they're keeping an eye on her - but she seems to be recovering. Jack - great (back on phone) - doctors have released our Seattle buyer's wife to go home - I'll see that our press release reflects the good news. Gloria is watching and listening. Ash - let's not celebrate yet - we still have one shopper in the hospital and we have to track down the last of the promo jars. Jill - OK - almost every jar is accounted for - and they're being shipped back as we speak. Jack & Jill start talking about what they can't be sure of. Ash (with clipboard) - let's focus on what we can do - I have my notes to forward to the insurance company and the stuff that goes with it - they'll want to send it to their own lab for testing. Jack - bang - I've just emailed off a press release - let's hope the media goes easier on us. Jill - let's hope so - what's next? Jack - I'm going to see Dad - they've relaxed restrictions on days we can go visit. Ash - that's not going to be an easy visit. Jack - I have no choice - Dad's got to know his company is facing a potential disaster. Ash - when are you going? Jack - he needs to know right away. Gloria - Jack, shouldn't you soften it? I don't mean lie to him - but he's in prison - he'll be frustrated. Jack - I know where he is - not to tell him the truth would be insulting his intelligence - I won't do that. As Ash, Jill and Jack talk about who will do what - Gloria slips out. Jill and Jack tie up some loose ends - Ash thinks they should thank Gloria and Abby - who knows where we'd be if they hadn't given us a heads up - BTW - where is she? Jack is happy to have her gone - I'm out of here. Phyllis meets Jack at the door - offers her help in anyway - even offers to ride along to see his dad - Jack is pleased - I can always count on you - but I need to do this by myself - talk to you later. Phyllis looks in on busy Jill and Ash - gives up and leaves.

SHARON'S SHADOW: At NE - Phyllis is thinking about Sharon's call - it's not your lover - clear your calendar - you'll be seeing me. Door opens. Brad - I'm sorry if I startled you - I'm looking for Sharon. Phyllis - who told you she was here? Brad - no one did - I took a chance that she'd be here. Phyllis - long story short - I don't know where she is. Brad - I think I'd like to hear the long version. Phyllis - I don't know why I said that - forget about it. Brad - why don't we talk about the next promo event - I'd like Sharon to mention the safety of our product. Phyllis - there hasn't been a problem that I know of. Brad - Jabot is in big trouble - Ashley's new cream caused an allergic reaction - a rash Abby's leg and Gloria's forehead - a couple of people are in hospital. Phyllis - this is horrible - I should go see Jack - if you see Sharon - tell her I've gone and I don't know when I'll be back . . as she skedaddles in a rush.

** At outhouse - Sharon looks at her watch. Noah (packing his school bag) - Mom, do you have to get somewhere? Sharon - no, Honey - I don't want you to be late. Nick comes in from outside. Noah - hey, Dad. Nick - morning, Dude - your bus will be here soon. Noah - where did it go? Sharon - what? Noah - Cassie's picture of our family. Sharon picks it up and slips it in a drawer - frame is broken - that's all. Nick - we'll get it fixed - I promise. Sharon - you'd better give your dad a big ~hug~ you won't be seeing him later. Noah - why not? Sharon - he's going on a business trip. Noah walks over to Nick for a ~hug~ where are you going, Dad? Nick - a couple of places - I'll tell you about when I get back. honk honk Nick gives Noah another ~hug~ on his way out - love you, Bud. Noah - love you guys - bye. Nick and Sharon rehash their situation - he wants to try work things out together - she can't do that - maybe she can work things out for herself if he's not around. Nick - I'll find someplace else to stay until things cool down and we can work things out. Sharon - get a long lease.

** Brad runs into Sharon coming out of Vikki's office - just the person I wanted to see - I don't have time now - then I have someone I need to see - I hope it wasn't Phyllis - why? - she not there - she left and didn't know when she'd be back - Jack is in big trouble at Jabot. Brad takes a moment of her time to talk about promo trip that ends in NYC - I know you want to spend some time there. Sharon - you remembered that? Brad - I remember everything you tell me - is something wrong now? Sharon (in tears) - not something - everything. Brad - want to talk about it? Sharon - not right now - BTW - I'll have to check about Noah before I can give you an answer about the promo trip.

WINTERS TALE - J-O-B HUNTING: In playhouse behind Abbott's - Lily crosses another want-ad off her list - it's already taken. Daniel - how do I look? Lily - like Mr. Dressed-for-Success (she adjusts his tie) Daniel - today I get a J-O-B job. Lily - you sound very determined. Daniel - I am - especially after what your dad and Devon said about our not being able to make it on our own. Lily - just use that for motivation - no worries. Daniel - do you know you're my motivation for everything? ~kiss~ CC arrives with muffins - shirt and tie - what are you up to? Daniel - I'm looking for a job. CC - you can always work at CL or for your Aunt Gina. Daniel - they're minimum wage - I'm holding out for something better. Lily - I'm looking too. CC - you guys are sure taking this job thing seriously. Daniel - I've got to go ~kiss~ CC - take a muffin. Daniel - thank you . . as he heads out. CC wonders what's up. Lily - our parents have cut us off - we're not taking handouts from anyone. CC - not even a banana nut muffin? After the muffins - CC talks on and on about wanting to make up with JT - he and Mac are so over - after he slept with that other woman my dad doesn't want him around - at the same time Lily calls about another job with another rejection - they both get together on the same page - when CC says she needs a place where she and JT can have some quiet time alone - how about here? CC - we could have a wedding party for you and Daniel - then you guys could go off to work or something. Speaking of a job - Lily has one more call to make.

** In the meantime - Daniel tries for a job as a bartender - you gotta be 21 kid - but I do need a busboy - how much does it pay? - not that much - but I hear the building trades have jobs open. Daniel leaves disgusted.

** Back at playhouse - CC is sure something good will happen for her best friends - everyone should be as happy as you are - I'm going to leave now - we'll talk later about the party. Daniel - what party? Lily - she needs some time alone with JT - we can do that for a friend - can't we? ~kiss~ Daniel is checking on his laptop for jobs when Lily gets a call from Lauren - I do have something for you - come by boutique tomorrow - thanks, Lauren - I'll be there. Lily - I got a job . . as Daniel picks her up . . oh yes!

** At AC - Devon thanks Dru and Neil for breakfast - I'm supposed to meet Sierra - we're studying for a physics quiz. Dru - good for you. Neil - hold on a minute - I have something for you - made out to GCU - first payment on next year's tuition - glad you decided to stay close to home, Devon. Dru smiles. Neil - if I were 18 I'd run it over to registrar's office - but that's your job. Dru - come on. Devon - listen - I don't feel right taking that - knowing Lily is completely cut off. Neil points out the fastest way to get her to come around is to cut off the money - we're not going to ruin her life - worst case scenario - she repeats her senior year - on a more positive note - I'm putting the finishing touches on an acquisition - first in a long time since Brad got to NE.

Lauren and Mikey come up from gym - she wants to go say hi to Neil and Dru - he heads for the bar. Lauren mentions Lily called her about a job - I'm sorry - I didn't have anything for her. Neil - that's OK - I need to go back to office - catch you later at home ~kiss~ Phyllis stops by to say hi to Mikey - he knows something is wrong by the way she's acting - procrastinating - are you going to take care of it - or will it have to get worse. Phyllis - you're right as always - I'll take care of it now. Meanwhile - Dru makes a deal with Lauren to give Lily a job - I'll pay her salary - you won't have to do that - she'll be on commission - she'll have to work for what she gets. Dru - please don't mention this conversation to anyone. Lauren - what conversation?

FIRST TO TATTLE: At prison - Gloria gives John a big ~hug~ John - I dream about you every night. Gloria - me too. She goes on to tell John about problems with Ashley's cream - shows him her forehead - mentions Abby too - we're both just fine now - but she has other stories to tell that are even worse - only promo kits seem to be tainted - of course John has a fit - I want you to keep me posted about how things are going - just then guard let's Jack in - he is stunned to see Gloria - I'm sure Gloria has filled you in - Gloria takes her leave after risking a ~kiss~ for John - you two have a lot to talk about. John - OK, Jackie - what are you planning to do about it? Jack admits his misses his dad's wise and thoughtful counsel - when John catalogs what needs to be done - Jack notes but for surroundings - he could be in boardroom at Jabot.

** Back at Abbott's - Jill comes downstairs - I looked in on Abby - she's fast asleep. Ash - good - she needs rest - all these years people have counted on Jabot to make them look their best - now we've let them all down. Jill - we're not hiding anything - we're taking responsibility for what happened - Jabot is still a company we can be proud of Phone rings - Jill Abbott - OMG! Ash - what is going on? Jill waves her off. Gloria comes in. Ash - where did you go? Glo - to see John. Ash - Jack was on his… Glo - I know - when my time was up I left. Ash - you told him. Glo - yes, I wanted him to hear it from me. Ash - you should have… Glo - don't go there - I have John's proxy - there are bigger problems for you to think about (points to her forehead) Jill - that was our insurance company - they are shutting production as of now and they want to do a selective recall of all our products - apparently it's standard procedure - until this investigation is completed - every product produced in the last month is suspect. Glo - so much for containment.

** At NE - Nick is looking at promo pictures of Sharon - thinking about what she said - you're just sorry you got busted! - Neil knocks - I have a couple of questions about the acquisition. Nick - go ahead - I have nothing but time.

** Phyllis comes into 1100 - puts her things down - sits down at her desk and holds her head - she jerks up suddenly when someone slams the door - to see Sharon glaring at her.

Phyllis - I know I was wrong - so do what you have to do - call me names… Sharon - it sounds like you're giving me permission to be upset with you - I 'didn't' give you permission to sleep with my husband! Sharon rips Phyllis for pretending to her friend - Phyllis tries to make Sharon see that Nick really loves her - this was my fault - Nick called it off. Sharon - 'if' he called it off it was because he felt guilty - that's more than can be said for you. Phyllis - IT'S OVER! Sharon - it's not for you - you're still in love with him. Phyllis - you don't want to talk about this. Sharon - I deserve some answers - do you love him? Phyllis - Nick was disconnected from everything - he was in a lot of pain because of Cassie. Sharon - I don't want her name coming out of your lying mouth - you capitalized on my family's tragedy. Phyllis - that's not true - Nick was hurting. Sharon - you knew just what to do to heal him - you make it sound like therapy - I lost my daughter too - I didn't use that as an excuse for cheating. Phyllis - that isn't quite true. Sharon - what are you talking about? Phyllis - you almost did the same thing in St Louis with Brad. Sharon - I told Nick that in confidence. Phyllis - why tell him at all? Sharon - I was trying to save our marriage - a lot of good that did. Phyllis - believe or not - Nick and I tried to fight it. Sharon - no you didn't - it would still be going on if you hadn't been found out - know what? - you're nothing but a common tramp - you're a dog in heat - and you're raising a son - how pathetic!

** At NE - Brad asks Nick if he has seen Victoria. Nick - I think she's in the conference room. Brad - what's the bag for - going somewhere? Nick - I may be going out of town on a business trip. Brad - where? Nick- why? Brad - curious - I like to stay on top of things - who's here - who's not. Nick - it may not happen - I'd rather stay here. Brad - I spoke to Sharon earlier - she seemed a little frazzled. Nick - she's having a rough morning. Brad - it's more than that - she canceled the promo tour - is everything all right? Nick - what did Sharon tell you? Brad - not much. Nick - then stay out of it - she doesn't need people prying into her life. Brad - people or me? It's no secret that your family is closing ranks against me. Nick - you think this is about your wedding? Brad - yeah. Nick - for the record - I'm not fighting you two like my dad is - actually I defended you - I can't stand the way he is dragging this into the office - what's personal and private should stay that way. Brad - I guess I owe you an apology. Nick - just treat her right. Brad - you have my word - now if your dad would back off - he hired JT for some bogus assignment and has him reporting to Victoria. Nick - that sounds like my dad. Brad - I'm trying to be 21st century about what happened between them. Nick - but you don't want to see him around here - I wouldn't put up with it - I'm surprised Vikki is.

DOSE OF REALITY: Jack walks into Jabot boardroom with Nikki close behind - I have to hand it to Dad - even from prison he knows just what to say. Nikki - so he thinks we can weather this. Jack - so do I. Jill - it won't be easy - I had to shut the factory down - insurance company required it. Kay - not only that - we've had to recall all products made there for the last month. Nikki - so any hope of containing this is gone. Jill - we need to get aggressive now. Kay - I've called Mitchell Sherman. Jack - I've called someone too. Jill - who? Jack - Michael Baldwin. Kay - Jack, are you sure that's a good idea?

** At Abbott's - Mikey stops by to see how his mom is doing. Glo - as you can see the rash is almost gone - I miss my husband and I'm sick about Jabot - other than that - I'm fine. Mikey - I can't tell you how sorry I am John is… Glo - I don't want to hear it - you're a wonderful lawyer - John's situation was impossible - you can't keep blaming yourself - that's negative thinking - keep an open mind. Mikey - do you know something I don't? Glo - I keep seeing people do jobs you could do better. Mikey - your faith in me is heartwarming - speaking of how good I can be in a pinch - I should get down to Jabot - Jack called me this morning - he asked for my help - don't you love that? Glo - I'd say that's the most intelligent thing Junior has done in a long time. Mikey- ain't it though - I'll talk to you later. Glo - OK, Sweetheart - bye. Glo (aside) if things go the way I hope they will, Jack - you're going need more than a good lawyer.

** Back at Jabot - board members are arguing about hiring Mikey - Kay has just pointed out it would be a conflict of interest - when Mikey walks in - Gloria approves of me being involved, Katherine. Jack - I think it would make us look more credible - son of one of our victims - protecting Jabot. Nikki - that's a good point. Jill - get real - even if we end up in court - his parentage won't win it for us - point is - he hates you, Jack. Mikey - that's such a strong word - Jack's affection has nothing to do with this - Gloria's financial situation does - I want to keep a roof over her head - even though Jack may want to see her out on the street. Jack - there you have it - greed and spite personified - what more do you want. Mikey - no one will work harder. Nikki - Michael gets my vote - if you'll excuse me - I've got to go. Mikey - thanks, Nikki. Kay - I'm not sure. Jack - Katherine, this is going to get ugly fast - every ambulance chaser will be after the Gibsons to sue us for millions - we need someone who can cut those bottom feeders off at the pass. Mikey - I have personal reasons for wanting to do this - John didn't take the deal I had set up for him - maybe this will help make up for that. Jill - I guess I'm sold. Kay - if this is what majority of board wants - I won't fight it - but I hope you realize I'm entrusting you with an enormous responsibility - you'd better pray I'm not making a mistake. Mikey already has a plan - first we meet with Mr. Gibson and pay him off - his silence is part of the deal. Jill - it will cost us millions. Kay - it's doable. Jack - we make it look like a short term glitch. Mikey - that's why I'm calling a press conference for tonight - I want you all there - Katherine, will you and Jill go see Gloria and get her ready for some hard questions? Kay - of course. Mikey - Jack and I will take care of Mr. Gibson.

Later - Kay and Jill stop by to see Gloria - she tells them about seeing John - they tell her about press conference - Kay asks how's it going for her at Jabot - she tells them about report Jack and Ash had her do that was already done by someone else - both Kay and Jill think that's not fair - Kay make a point of saying Jack will have to explain what's going on - Glo smiles as she says she'll be at Jabot for press conference - early. Jack and Mikey give Mr. Gibson the pitch - point out how it would be good for him to settle - he wants to read the paper he needs to sign - my lawyer said you'd tried take my rights away - I'll see you in court! Both Jack and Mikey are stunned as Mr. Gibson walks out.

PERSONAL REPORT AND MORE: Walking in hall at NE - JT is adding to written report he just handed Vikki - square hole - square peg all the way - not even a speeding ticket. Vikki - but you found something. JT - he's had 3 big promotions lately - he likes golf - 3 of his former bosses had heart attacks while playing with him - I'm thinking he's got to be the smartest killer on earth - until I did a little more digging. Vikki - they all survived - right? JT - yeah, and he saved one with CPR. Vikki - so he's not a serial killer. JT - he's clean - but I wouldn't go golfing with him soon. Vikki laughs - don't PI's just stick to the facts? JT - I like to go a little further and give you some advice. Vikki - be careful, JT - that can get you in a lot of trouble around here. JT thinks the little things are important - if someone has a bad toupee - wouldn't you want to know that? They are both laughing when Brad walks in. Vikki - I think that does it, JT - thanks. JT - yeah. Brad - sounded like you two were having a good time. Vikki - I'm just trying to make the best of things - I'm not thrilled by the situation either. Brad - why go along with it then? Vikki - if I let it become a problem for us - my father wins. Brad - you're letting him win now - he knows in the end you'll do whatever he says. Vikki - that's not fair. Brad points to JT's report - and that is? . . as Brad walks into elevator - Nikki and Nick come around the corner - how are things at Jabot? - in full containment mode - we got one of those kits too - it's a good thing you didn't use it - especially after what happened to Abby and Mrs. Abbott - they'll be OK - one woman - a customer - may not be that lucky - I can't do anything about it - so - what about our spa project - I was hoping our family could celebrate the NVP launch - is that really necessary? - no, I just thought you and Sharon - Brad and Victoria could come up to the house for dinner - it's a bad idea, Mom - I just thought it might be good for your father to be with Brad - it might help him ease off - OK - but you'll have to check with Sharon - she'll tell you when it's good for us.

** CC is on cell with Lily - Fenmore's Boutique - way to go - now you can have fun and pay your bills - your house warming party is going to rock - no, it will be the perfect opportunity for me to get close to JT and get the scoop on that other girl - he hasn't said he's coming yet - don't worry - I have a plan. Later - CC shows up at loft - I called CL to make sure Kevin was working - I'm sorry things got weird the other night - I shouldn't have asked about the other girl - you don't have to tell me. JT - I wasn't planning to. JT uses a trick question to find out if CC really likes basketball - when she doesn't know what he's talking about - he tweaks her about it. CC admits she looks at games because he likes them - then suggests he can make it up to her by taking to her to Lily and Daniel's house warming - they need support from friends just like we did back in the days - JT agrees to do it.

** When Nikki comes into office - she is talking to someone on her cell - I'm sorry - it will never happen again . . Phyllis, do you know who that was? Phyllis - no, should I? Nikki - that was our broker in Houston - we lost a prime location because you didn't get to a meeting you had with him. Phyllis - I'm sorry - I had a lot going on this morning - I lost track of time. Nikki - you need to focus - with all that's going on at Jabot - I expect you to pick up the slack - can you do that? Phyllis - yes I can. Nikki - then show me. Phyllis goes overboard when telling Nikki she'll do her job - everybody makes mistakes - why am I always someone's punching bag? Nikki looks worried.

** Sharon finds Nick in his office - is there any way you haven't betrayed our marriage - I just had an illuminating talk with Phyllis. Nick - if you want to talk about it - this is not the place. Sharon - why not - how could tell Phyllis about St Louis? Nick - you're right - I shouldn't have done that. They are going at it full bore. Sharon - maybe I should tell the whole world the truth. Brad - about what? Sharon - I was talking about my presentation. Brad - I'd love to hear it. Sharon - it's not ready yet. Brad - let me know when it is - I wanted to talk you about rescheduling the promo trip. Nick - I leave you to do that. Sharon - Nick, don't forget - we need to talk about how long you'll be gone on. Nick - we'll have to do that now. Sharon - I have do this before I can talk to you - he has no choice. Brad - fine - call me when you're ready to talk. With Brad gone - Nick and Sharon go back to what's going on with them - she wants revenge for all Nick has done to her - he wonders if she's sorry she didn't cheat with Brad in St Louis. Sharon thinks what happened was his fault (she slams down monkeys) - she can't take him back now because what she had with him is dead - you and Phyllis killed it.

** Brad comes back to Vikki's office. Vikki - I'm glad you came back - I didn't like how we left things. Brad mentions seeing Sharon - she put me off because she and Nick had to settle something as a couple. Vikki - you don't think we do? Brad - no I don't - I think we need to draw a line now - fire JT. Vikki - it's not that easy. Brad - yes it is - maybe marrying you is huge mistake.

** Sharon comes back into Nick's office - takes out wedding picture - cuts it in half with letter opener - tears Nick's picture into little pieces in tears.

** At AC - Phyllis is drowning her sorrows with booze - when she looks over - Nick is there too - their eyes meet.

At Abbott's - Gloria has told Katherine and Jill about report Jack and Ashley had her do - it was a joke - someone else had already done it. Kay - that's an insult to you, Gloria and I take it as a direct insult to me - that's unacceptable and unforgivable - the moment I see Jack… Glo - I don't want to tell you how to run your business - but this doesn't seem like the right time - for better or worse - Jack is CEO of CI and Ashley is top chemist at Jabot - they are both under a lot of pressure right now - I mean - she created the cream that is causing all these problems - so for you to go to war with them over me - no. Jill - you are very astute, Gloria. Glo - thank you, Jill - I have John's family and Jabot's best interest at heart - I hope you both realize that. Kay - yes, we are aware of that. Jill - I think it's time we head over to the press conference at Michael's. Gloria - after you, Ladies.

** Mikey - just so we're all in this together - I will handle the legal questions - Ashley, you cover the manufacturing process. Ash - Jack's going to focus on Jabot leadership - right? Jack - remember the key to this whole press conference is convincing the public our products are safe. Mikey - and that what happened was a minor glitch in years of making quality products. Glo comes in with Jill and Kay - when would you like me to speak? Jack - never. Glo - maybe you've forgotten… Mikey - let's stick to the script. Jill - Michael is right - no surprises. Mikey - now that Emma Gibson's husband has filed a lawsuit against Jabot - we must be very careful - every word we say in this room has the potential to be used against us in court.

** Later Jack kicks press conference off with an opening statement - our factory is shut down - I can promise you that nothing has been shipped since we discovered the problem with promotional kits. Reporter - shutting down a plant - is that drastic? Jill - no - protecting our customers is our number one concern. Kay - people need to know - all of our other products are completely safe. Jack - absolutely. Reporter - are you sure the problem is limited to your promotional kits? Ash - yes, those few jars contain an ingredient some people are allergic to. Jill - that's why if anyone has a problem - we suggest they see their doctor. Jack - of course, we'll pick up the tab for that. (Nikki - I have to go - I've got a meeting with Sharon) Reporter - what about the Gibson lawsuit? Mikey takes over - we don't know if our product caused her problem yet. Ash - in an offer of good faith - we've offered to pay her medical expenses. Kay - CI supports Jabot in this. Reporter - what contaminated the cream? Ash - early results indicate it was a cleaning solution. Reporter - how did it get in the cream? Mikey - at the moment we suspect someone did it - that person will be found and prosecuted. Reporter - we've heard Mrs. Gibson is in serious condition and hooked up to a respirator. Jack - I haven't heard a question yet. Reporter - is this press conference a smoke screen to cover-up a potential business disaster? Gloria gets in the mix when asked about her problem - I got a little rash on my forehead - it's no worse than sunburn - and it's almost gone. Mikey - and she immediately told everyone. Gloria - I didn't want anyone else to get hurt. Jack rushes press conference to a close - if you have any other questions - our PR department will take care of it. Glo - do you think the Abbotts will thank us for this? Mikey - I wouldn't hold my breath.

** Back at Abbott's - Gloria seems upbeat - I think that went well - you did a great job with legal questions, Michael - I'd think Jack and Ashley would show you a little gratitude. Jack - give it up, Gloria. Ash - Jack's right. Phone rings - Gloria Abbott - OMG! Mikey - who was that? Glo - Gibson's lawyer. Jack - what did he want? Glo - Emma Gibson died! Everyone looks stunned!

APRIL'S FOOLS?: At NE - Sharon is tearing up picture of Nick - when Brad pops in - hey, got a minute to answer a question? Sharon closes folder - try me. Brad - have you ever had someone you care about let you down so deeply you wonder if you knew them in the first place? Sharon - as a matter of fact I have. Brad - I thought I had it right with Victoria - that she was someone I could trust and depend on. Sharon - I thought you two were getting married. Brad - so did I - but she broke off our engagement - spent the night with Hellstrom - she might as well have waved a red flag in front of my face. Sharon - if she doesn't see what a great guy you are - that's her loss. Brad - why do I keep choosing women who can't love me back? Sharon - I don't have an answer. Brad - is it me? Sharon - no, you're kind, caring, loyal… Brad - so is a dog. Sharon - any woman who gets you is lucky - some woman are crazy - they'll give up a life of real happiness for a few minutes of excitement. Brad admits he asked Victoria not to work with JT - she wouldn't do it. Sharon - you shouldn't have needed to ask her to do that - think long and hard before marrying someone who has such little regard for your feelings. Brad doesn't want to give up on Victoria - even all that he's said. Sharon - unfortunately - from what you've said - she gave up on you. Later - Nikki finds Sharon still in office at NE - she tells her about press conference - then mentions they want her to be spokesmodel for NVP - Phyllis is one of your biggest fans. Sharon is sorry - she can't take the job - she'll be cutting back on BoN tours also - I need to spend more time at home with Noah - which reminded her of permission form both Nick and she have to sign for a field trip. Nikki - that's no problem - go find him - I'm the one in trouble - I have to find a new spokesmodel. Before Sharon leaves - she puts scraps from file in wastebasket.

** Phyllis is sitting alone at hotel bar when Nick sees her - do you mind? Phyllis - no, go ahead. Nick - double Scotch - hold the ice - thanks. Phyllis - this is a bad idea. Nick - what? Phyllis - two of us sitting here together. Nick - who the hell cares? I need someone to talk to - you're probably the only person on earth who understands what I'm going through - he goes on to ask how her meeting with Sharon went. Phyllis - it was bad - how could we convince ourselves that no one would get hurt? Nick - it's called 'denial'. Phyllis - shouldn't you be at home making things right with your wife? Nick - I can't - she kicked me out. Phyllis - how did you explain to your son? Nick - we said I'm on a business trip. Phyllis - maybe after she calms down. Nick - I don't think she'll ever let me come home - telling her what I said about St Louis didn't help. Phyllis - I'm sorry about that. Nick - it really doesn't matter now - I spent so much time trying to get away from there - now all I want to do is go home. Nick - I've been married to Sharon all my adult life - I don't know what I'll do without her. Phyllis - you sound like your marriage is over. Nick - it is. Phyllis - give her some time - once things cool down you can talk things out. Nick - this is weird - you of all people - encouraging me not to give up on my marriage. Phyllis - we made this mess to together - least I can do is help you clean it up - what are you going to do? Nick - I don't know - maybe I'll get a room here - or just sit here all night and drink - I have nowhere else to go. Just then - Sharon comes in…

** Victor sits down with NE file - you say it's my fault that Brad Carlton walked out on you? Vikki - you hired JT - had him report to me - it was all part of your plan - wasn't it? Victor - that's absurd - I hired him to do background checks - if that interferes with your relationship with Carlton - so be it. Vikki - from now on he reports to you - call him and tell him that. Victor takes phone - from now on you don't give me orders (hangs it up) got that? Vikki - I'm just saying I don't want JT reporting to me. Victor doesn't see a problem if nothing is going on with him - there should be none for Carlton either. Vikki - there wasn't until you tried to stir things up - that's why I want it to stop. Victor - I'll say this one more time - you don't give orders to me - you're my employee - if you don't do what I ask you to do - I'll consider that insubordination. Vikki - is that a threat? Victor - interrupt that anyway you want to - you stated your position - now I've stated mine. As Victor slams out - Vikki calls JT - I need to talk you right now. JT - will have to wait - I'm meeting Paul. Vikki - it won't take long- this is important - I'll be waiting for you in the lobby. JT - I'm on my way. Moments later - JT is with Vikki - she tells him she doesn't want him reporting to her - in fact - I want you to quit. JT balks - this is good gig for me. Vikki then threatens to fire him. JT - you can't - your old man hired me. JT rushes back to meet with Paul at AC - after a heart-to-heart with his boss about Vikki wanting him to quit - I don't want her hurt - we did spend one night together - Paul knows from experience it can get messy - his advice is - trust your inner moral compass - you have to decide what to do. JT goes to tell Victor what he has decided - to be honest - I can't do this - Brad's daughter is my friend -and - it may hurt Victoria - Victor likes his answer - points out the best way to help Victoria is to stay on - but has another assignment for him - I want you find out all you can to fill in the blanks about Brad Carlton. JT agrees to do it.

** Back at NE - Brad tells Victoria she can save face about not getting married anyway she wants - I want us to work this out - we can't - I know you love me - but that's not enough - you don't understand - I told my dad and JT I won't work with him - from this moment on - you will be my first priority - this changes Brad mind - as long as we do this together - we don't have to be afraid of anything or anyone ~kiss~

** Mac comes into AC - starts to walk by JT. JT - don't I rate a hello? Mac - hi. JT - how are you going? Mac - good. JT - are you really OK? Mac - if you're talking about miscarriage - I'm fine. JT - I'm glad to hear it. Mac - so how has life been treating you? JT - good - I've been busy at work - that's why I'm here - I'm meeting Paul. Mac - I'll give you some space - take care. JT - you too. Mac walks on to join Kevin - hey, partner. Kevin - hey. Mac - should I turn around and walk back out? Kev - no, I'm sorry - I'm not very good company tonight. Mac - I'll take my chances - I noticed you've been keeping your distance since our 'talk'. Kev - I've just had a lot on my mind. Mac - I keep picturing your mom walking in on us. Kev - not that wasn't awkward. Mac - my favorite fantasy - making out with a guy - getting caught by his mom. Kev - I'm glad you haven't lost your sense of humor. Mac - looks like you may have. Kev - I'm just really worried about my mom. Mac is worried about her too - has some herbal skin lotion she learned to make on the reservation for her - what she did the other night took guts - some day you're going to look back on this and laugh. When it comes to eating - Mac has a better idea - come with me. They go to the loft - Mac wants to be alone with Kevin - she wants him to fill in at CL for awhile - I have to get away from here in order to heal - I'm going back to the Indian Reservation - I found a lot peace there before - I've kinda lost myself - this might help.
