Michael meets with
Kevin, Amber and Daniel. Amber tries to get hold of Cane but he wants
nothing to do with her.
Cane instructs his secretary not to put through any calls from Amber.
Devon tries to talk Lily into getting a divorce.
Amber goes to see Cane, but his secretary lies saying he's in a meeting.
Phyllis wants to get away for a night at a hotel with Nick and he agrees.
While Phyllis is online checking hotels, Nick is in the kitchen on the phone
with his lawyer asking what his rights are as a father as he fears Phyllis
will flee town with Summer!
When Daniel comes over to Lily's, Devon leaves. Daniel wants to work things
out with Lily but she says there's nothing to work out and gives him the
card to her divorce attorney. She calls the number and says she wants to
file for a divorce ASAP. Daniel is crushed and asks for another chance, but
Lily says no and asks him to leave.
Michael is questioning Kevin as to who could possibly have the money. Kevin
has no idea.
Amber runs into Jill at Jabot and says what she is about to ask is far out
of line but she's desperate. She wants to know if there is any possibility
Jill has the money that was buried on the property, or if Kay or Ji Min have
it. Jill gets furious and says the best thing to do would be to forget that
Amber asked that because if Jill thinks about it too much she could be
inclined to do something to Amber she would regret! Cane has overheard this
and pulls Amber into an office.
Phyllis tells Nick this mini-getaway will be a good distraction from the
trial. Nick talks about the allegations against Phyllis being true and
Phyllis is shocked that Nick believes she's guilty. Nick asks, aren't you?
Cane asks about Amber's nerve to accuse his mother about the money and says
his mother put up the bail money to bail Amber's sorry ass out of jail. He
calls her a lousy daughter-in-law and a poor excuse for an adult.
Devon is more than happy that Lily has filed for divorce.
Michael and Lauren's romantic evening is interrupted when Daniel shows up to
ask for legal advice as Lily filed for divorce.
Nick tells Phyllis he doesn't think she's a bad person, but talks about the
trial and her actions. They argue with Phyllis ending up saying she doesn't
need the support of a husband who thinks she's guilty nor does she need to
get away with him!
Michael rips into
Daniel saying just because he doesn't have the money does not mean he didn't
steal it and says he does not blame Lily for wanting a divorce! When Phyllis
calls Michael orders Daniel to take the call during which Phyllis says she's
moving into a hotel until the verdict comes in and lies about why Nick isn't
going with her. Daniel buys her lie and wishes her well. Michael and Daniel
discuss his porn addiction and his lies to Lily. Daniel admits he has a
problem so Michael encourages him to say out loud that he has a problem and
needs help. Daniel does then Michael asks when he's going to get help.
Daniel doesn't speak so Michael tells him to get out as he's tired of his
attitude and tired of the waste. Daniel finally screams and says he's an
addict and he needs help. Tears fill his eyes, as Michael hugs him.
Lauren comes over to
see Phyllis and learns about Nick and their argument. Lauren advises her
against going away with Summer, saying she doesn't want her to be alone.
Cane and Kevin are at the AC talking about their ex girlfriends and what a
mess their life became.
Michael and Daniel continue to speak about his problem as Daniel says
admitting he had a problem made him feel better, but also made him feel
worse. Michael says growing up is tough.
Phyllis apologizes to Nick for snapping and he says he'll accompany her to
the hotel so she isn't alone with the baby. When Phyllis realizes Nick
believes she would leave with Summer, he tries to deny it but then says he
knows the thought must've crossed Phyllis' mind or else she wouldn't have
been defensive about it. Nick asks Phyllis to tell him he's wrong.
Lauren tells Michael he was right about Phyllis going away with Summer, but
says she talked her out of it.
Phyllis tells Nick to send the security guards with her if he doesn't trust
her with their daughter. Nick asks if she wants him to go with her, or not.
Phyllis asks what he thinks. Nick takes what looks to be a bag and his
jacket and leaves!
Kevin goes to see Jana at the hospital.
Daniel goes to the coffeehouse where he looks at Cassie's picture and talks
to it about his addiction, humiliation, and says he wants to change. He
wants to use Cassie as motivation, not inspiration, and thinks of living the
life Cassie never got to live. Daniel says he's going to turn his life
around. Amber overhears this and says she wants to do the same as they wish
each other luck.

Brent subs for
Amanda today thanks to Phyllis Brooks who made it possible to listen over
the phone to today's events.
At the Baldwin
apartment, Phyllis and Michael speak briefly about the upcoming verdict and
of course Phyllis is worried. Later, Gloria is planning a party at the
Athletic Supporter in Wilma's memory and to celebrate the millions she's
apparently inherited. She wants the governor to come, but he takes a pass.
The Lt. Governor agrees to attend, however. When everyone shows up at the
party, Gloria is outraged that manager Gina Roma does not have the correct
color table linens. She wanted blue. Why? Because blue was Wilma's favorite
color!
Earlier, back at the
apartment, Kevin showed up to ask Michael if the God Have Mercy Medical
Center can treat Jana Hawkes the way its doing in that it won't pay to
operate on Jana's brain tumor. Michael says the hospital is not legally
obligated unless Jana's life is at risk, which apparently it isn't since
cancer doesn't kill people.
In fact earlier,
while being introduced to the "famous" Dr. Logan as Brad called her, Kevin
asked Logan if the hospital can be made to perform the surgery and Logan
said no because there are other means of treatment.
Kevin also made a
speech about hospitals not caring about those without health insurance
because they're only in the business to make a profit. We learn too from
Kevin that the GHM has a motto: "Care for those who have borne the battle."
Prior to asking
Gloria for the money needed for Jana's operation, $130,000, and being told
no because Jana is one crazy bitch, Kevin went to see Jana. Tied in a chair,
Jana said she's been told the tumor is "stabilized" and thus she can't have
an operation. Kevin told her he's not going to let the hospital treat her
like that and returned later to say that he will pay for Jana's operation.
Where the money will
come from should be interesting. Unless Kevin plans on selling the coffee
shop, he and the dorks had a meeting at which they discussed where they'll
get the money needed to pay back the government. Amber said they shouldn't
have to pay the money back because, "We earned it."
Amber's got more
problems too. Cane cut her off from all family money, her membership at the
AC was cancelled and she was shown the door. But first she stopped to ask
Gina for a job and was told there are no openings. When Amber was next seen
she was eating a sandwich for which Daniel had to pay for and then said he'd
put in a good word for her at Newman Enterprises.
Oops - that might
not work out so good.
During a meeting with Neil at which he begged for one more chance because
he's turning his life around and admitted he's a porn addict, Daniel was
told to stay away from the Winters clan. Later, while Neil was giving a
briefing in the breakroom to other members of the team, Daniel returned
again followed closely by Brad who announced there had been a breech in NE
computer security.
Seems a certain
someone had been looking at porn again on a company computer and the entire
system got hacked into! It got so bad NE's ISP threatened to shut down
Internet service. Fortunately, the system was saved and all passwords are
being changed - except Daniel's!
He's fired!
Back at the
hospital, Colleen, who had earlier told Brad she'd stay away from Kevin and
Jana, showed up to ask a now untied Jana to stay away from Kevin. Jana said
sorry, no can do. Kevin is the only thing she has in the whole wide world.
Brad also fears that Colleen and Kevin are becoming close again which
promoted Brad's request. Colleen said yeah, she'll stay out of Kevin's
business with Jana unless she has to go in to pull Kevin out.
A side note: Lily
and Colleen were together briefly with Lily whining that she's given Daniel
too many chances and kinda likes being rid of him.
Interesting too was
Neil telling Devon that he's "exceeded" everyone's expectations and because
Devon is clearly becoming the next CEO of something, gave him a bag in which
to carry around important files and maybe old birthday cards from his
grandmother.
Finally, we have
Katherine, Cane, Jill and Mr. Kim Chee. In various scenes they argue about
Jill's wanting to marry Chee and Katherine says if Jill is intent on letting
Chee fall in love with her bank account, they better not plan on staying at
the mausoleum. Jill says no problem; she's moving out and Katherine should
never forget she owns one-half of the place.
Katherine, over the
edge, her blood pressure sky high, screamed at Cane that she's doing all
this out of love for Jill.
For his part, Chee
wants to wait to get married until things cool down, but Jill wants to get
the show on the road.

Amber asks Kevin for
a job at the coffeehouse, he refuses and explains to a shocked Amber that
he's selling the coffeehouse!
Jack runs into Neil at the AC and thanks him for having him and Sharon over
the other day. Neil notices Jack is looking through brochures and Jack
admits he wants to take Sharon away for the honeymoon they never had. Jack
tells Neil that he and Sharon are in it for the long haul and he's glad Nick
sees that. Neil takes it that Nick has backed off and admits he had a talk
with Nick; Jack appreciates it as Neil says he's just trying to help.
Nick runs into Sharon in the break room and talk about the photo shoot they
had to cancel again. Sharon says when she agreed to go with him, she just
wanted to get away from the stress. But now she doesn't think going away
with Nick would be such a good idea as Jack wouldn't like it. Nick believes
Sharon is implying Jack doesn't trust her, Sharon says it isn't about trust;
it's about Jack not being comfortable. Nick asks if that means it's a no,
Sharon says it's a never! Nick says never say never as Sharon says she just
did. Nick suggests they do the photo shoot locally which Sharon seems to
like.
Gloria runs into Jack at the AC and they make their ill feelings towards
each other known!
Kevin is showing a potential buyer around the coffeehouse when the buyer
asks Kevin why he never responded the last two times he showed an interest.
Kevin says he's been busy, then goes over to Amber and Daniel to explains
he's selling the coffeehouse to pay for Jana's surgery.
Michael goes to see Jana and sees her talking to a chair thinking it's Kevin
saying how much she loves him.
Gloria is setting up for the party at the AC as she and Jack continue their
bitterness towards each other.
Michael is back home telling Lauren about Jana. Lauren believes Kevin may be
right about Jana while Michael doesn't believe it saying it has been months
since Jana tried to kill Kevin and Colleen so he isn't buying her sudden
symptoms now that she has been caught.
Daniel speaks to Nick about his addiction, needing help, and his firing and
is about to get into detail when Neil walks in and says he's been
terminated; pack up his things and leave the building! Daniel asks Neil to
put aside his personal feelings for him, while Neil tells Daniel he was rude
to him the other day and has shown his immaturity. Daniel believes that if
he were to find a cure for cancer, Neil would still find a way to put him
down. Daniel walks out, while Nick says he'll call him. Neil tells Nick that
Daniel viewed porn on the NE computer, caused spyware to infect the NE
computers, which resulted in hackers getting into NE files, bank accounts,
credit cards, etc. Nick is shocked and agrees with Neil's decision to fire
Daniel as their company is liable for the damage done.
Kevin asks the buyer what his offer is; the buyer says he doesn't make
offers. He writes down a price and Kevin laughs saying that he pays his
dishwashers more than that!
Amber asks Neil for a job at Indigo as a singer, he says no; she's bad for
his business and his family!
Amber goes to Daniel who is packing his things up at NE to explain she asked
Neil for a job and he turned her down. Daniel realizes she's desperate and
knows Neil blames her for ruining his daughter's marriage. Amber says she
only wanted the best for them and asks Daniel to speak to Cane on her
behalf. Daniel says he can't so Amber decides to do it herself. She goes to
the Chancellor estate and tells Cane the story of her life. Cane says he
doesn't care.
When Maggie and Paul
arrive at Gloria's party for William, Maggie tells Paul that the culprit
could be there (the second DNA test). Paul teases Maggie about wearing a
dress.
Gloria and Lauren speak to Jill and Ji Min. Jill says both she and Gloria
wound up with the right men in the end.
Nick runs into Jack at the AC bar where Jack says he's not there for the
party and Nick says he's just came to pick up some food. Nick learns that
Jack is planning to take Sharon away on the honeymoon and says Sharon loves
surprises. He also says he wanted to reschedule a second photo shoot with
her, but she said no as she was concerned about Jack and his feelings. Jack
says that was very thoughtful of her. Nick says it was, and leaves Jack
thinking.
Gloria is happy when Kevin shows up for the party, but where is Michael?
Michael is talking with Daniel at NE about Kevin and learns about Daniel's
firing which Michael defends.
Amber continues pleading with Cane to give her another chance and finally he
agrees to have sex with her!
Jack and Sharon are at the coffeehouse talking about the conversation he had
earlier with Nick about the trip. Sharon admits she agreed to go away with
Nick, but when Nick decided he needed to be in court and the trip got
cancelled she didn't see the point in telling Jack about it. Jack says she
agreed to go though.
Michael tells Heather about his visit to Jana and how he still believes
she's faking and will soon let her guard down as it's not easy to fake an
illness 24/7. Kevin overhears this and is not happy. Heather excuses
herself, while Kevin is upset with Michael. But when Gloria starts talking
about William, Kevin tells Michael they discuss it later.
When Gloria is done talking, Kevin goes back to argue with Michael who says
he's trying to help Kevin, as he can't forget how Jana tried to kill him and
Colleen. Kevin doesn't see it that way, and is furious with Michael saying
he's paying for Jana's surgery by selling the coffeehouse. Michael gets mad
saying Kevin is the crazy one!
Paul wants to spend time alone with Maggie.
Neil spends time with Karen at the AC gym.
Sharon apologizes to Jack; he says he's already forgotten what happened.
Sharon says she never wants to hurt him, Jack hopes so as he doesn't want to
hurt Nick!
Nick tells Daniel that Neil told him what happened, but he believes Daniel
can change and he says he will help Daniel.
Cane is dressed and confesses to Amber he was faking as he wanted her to
feel the same way he did when she did this to him! Cane tells Amber he has a
hot date and wants her out of his home!
Gloria is with Michael and Lauren and faints in Michael's arms when she sees
William! (It's actually William's twin brother Jeffrey, but Gloria doesn't
know that).

Jeffrey explains he
is William's twin brother and Gloria asks why she never heard about him till
now. Jeffrey explains that his relationship with William was rocky and he
wanted to come back and fix things, but it's too late as William is dead.
Ji Min and Jill make love! Later, he shows her his idea for a new business
venture.
Colleen tries to get Lily to move on with her life and start having fun
again by going to Indigo.
Daniel is with Amber at Kevin's trying to cheer her up and wanting to take
her to Indigo. Amber has flashbacks of Cane telling her about his hot date
there and tells Daniel she can't go. But that soon changes when she takes
off her pants and puts on some boots, her shirt is now a dress and off they
go to Indigo.
Jeffrey talks about his parents divorce when they were very young and how
his mother got custody of William while his father got custody of him.
Jeffrey says he and William recently started speaking and William revealed
he met a woman who made his life worth living. Gloria is touched.
Karen and Neil continue to bond at Indigo.
Lily and Colleen arrive at Indigo and meet with Cane who is alone and asks
them to join him. Lily looks uncomfortable.
Jill is at the AC when she runs into Katherine and says she will no longer
be living with her. Jill is shocked when she sees what appears to be William
and asks Katherine who that is. Katherine jokes saying it's William, he rose
from the dead. Jill isn't laughing and wants the truth so Katherine explains
that it's William's brother. Jill is shocked as she never knew. When
Katherine starts talking about Ji Min, Jill stops her saying she's moving
out of the estate and doesn't mind that Katherine cut her out of the will;
she also reveals to a shocked Katherine that she's teaming up with Ji Min
for a new business venture which will compete with Jabot!
Amber and Daniel show up at Indigo and Amber tells Daniel that Cane told her
earlier he had a hot date but didn't reveal her name and now she knows why -
it's Lily! Daniel looks and sees Lily and Cane laughing and having a good
time.
Colleen joins Cane and Lily and learns Daniel and Amber are there. Colleen
sees Amber is wearing a dress the size of a postage stamp! Lily is
uncomfortable and wants to leave, but Cane and Colleen tell her no.
When Neil is short a bartender, Karen steps in and Neil is impressed!
Katherine pays Ji Min a visit to say that if he agrees to leave Genoa City
and leave her daughter alone, she's prepared to write him a check, he just
needs to name his price. Ji Min says $1 million, Katherine says done. Ji Min
says Katherine can do better than that, so she ups the cash as Ji Min
continues naming prices. They finally agree on a number and Katherine writes
a check for $2.5 million dollars with conditions. Ji Min is done with Jabot
and he must leave GC within three weeks. Ji Min rips up the check!
Colleen hugs Lily and leaves while Daniel and Amber just stare at Cane and
Lily. Daniel believes Cane is playing her.
Lily speaks about
Amber being everything she's not. Cane says she's trash. Lily says he
married her, what does that say about him? He replies not much, and same
goes for Lily being married to Daniel. Cane and Lily decide to flirt with
each other to drive their soon to be ex's crazy.
Ji Min tells Jill that Katherine fired him which is fine considering he
planned on quitting. Ji Min also reveals Katherine attempting to bribe him,
he says he tore up the check and gave it back to her.
Karen and Neil have both mixed a drink and give a customer to try. The
customer likes Karen's the best as hers as an extra zing to it!
Daniel gives back his house keys to Lily and says he won't contest the
divorce. Daniel says he knows he put Lily though a lot and he's sorry. He
tells Lily if she ever needs anything, she knows where to find him. Daniel
leaves and when Colleen returns she feels terrible as does Lily.
Amber asks Cane if he's into Lily. Cane says he doesn't owe Amber anything
as they are not married nor are they friends. He tells Amber if she's smart,
she'll stay away from him as she does not want him as her enemy.
Neil feels guilty for having fun again while Karen tells him Dru would've
wanted him to be happy again.
Jill confronts Katherine for bribing Ji Min and reveals she plans on finding
Phillip's birth mother!
Gloria tells Michael and Lauren she doesn't trust Jeffrey and believes he's
in town to get her money!

There are big
problems for the Clear Springs project as Cane calls the parties together to
remind them that "Me Thane" gas has been found and that someone is gonna
have to clean the mess up. If they don't, the project will be shut down and
that would mean Nikki would default on her loan.
Cane makes it clear
that Chancellor Industries won't pump another dime into the project which,
if it's decided someone will clean it up, means the project will cost even
more.
During a chat with
Victor, Neil sputters that if Victor is trying to screw his wife over for
personal reasons, he, as a board of directors member would have to lodge a
complaint.
And that's exactly
what Victor has in mind. He's not going to do anything with regard to the
Methane problem, and it would seem Jack won't either as he told Cane, whom
he calls "Sport", that Nikki can rot as far as he's concerned.
Also worried is
Lauren who griped to Michael her interest could be impacted. Michael said
there's nothing for her to be worried about.
Elsewhere, Nikki
told Victoria she's worried that Victor wants her to fail.
In a related matter,
Daniel popped in to tell Jack he needs to hire him. Daniel pointed out that
of all the applications for work Jack must have, he's the only one with a
criminal record. Plus, he could be judged a killer soon. Still, were Jack to
hire him, it would show the judge at his could come any day trial that's
he's responsible. It'll prove too to Daniel's detractors that he can take a
licking and keep on ticking.
And so it was that
Jack hired him and that he'll be working in the Newman Enterprises building
of which Daniel couldn't wait to rub in Neil's face.
Earlier at the flop
house, Lily has been up half the night packing Daniel's stuff, watching TV
and crying her eyes out. She even thought about giving Daniel another
chance. Daniel arrived to get his junk and when he was gone Neil showed up
to say that Lily doesn't need an official divorce since she and Daniel
weren't legally married! All they'll have to do is have the marriage
annulled. Neil also told Devon to take some time off the job to help Lily
adjust.
Devon took Lily to
the Jitter Joint where she rehashed her marriage, Devon gave her his meaning
of love and she asked him to fix her up with a date because, get this, Devon
has "tons of friends!"
In other news, the
jury is still out as Phyllis remains "in hiding" at a local hotel. At least
that's what Nick told Sharon as they discussed finding a new location for
the on-hold-for-a-week photo shoot.
When Nick suggested
they find a location that is being refurbished, to give the impression that
whatever the shoot is supposed to be about it's environmentally friendly,
Sharon thought it was a great idea. They run over to tell Jack they're
leaving to do just that and as they walk out the door Jack says, "I hope you
find what you're looking for."
What they found was
an old bank being converted into a restaurant. The place looks to be in
Genoa City although Sharon said the shoot should be within a thirty-mile
radius. Inside the vault, as the film crew starts shooting, someone closes
the door!
Oh my, it's so hot
inside. Only one thing to do, take off their clothes!
Flash to the
Athletic Supporter where Gloria is meeting with Jeff. She wants to feel him
out to make sure he's not trying to get his hands on her money and during
the conversation learns Jeff is a criminal! "I'm guilty of being an
American," Jeff tells her of his dealings with people in Liberia who were
into oil and money laundering.
When she was done,
Gloria called Michael to tell him Jeff is a criminal and that she wants him
to check into his past. Michael grumbles, sure, he's got nothing better to
do.
