An exciting day in Genoa City starts at the
Chancellor Mausoleum. The man who came knocking on
Katherine's door was an official of the NIST who
reports that based on initial findings, the Clear
Springs disaster was not due to substandard
materials. Everything was up to code, but they've
yet to determine the cause. "Thank God," Cane
exclaims.
David is in Neil's office and both are on the phone
trying to get information about CS. David doesn't
have any luck, but Neil finds out that some of the
buildings at CS, including nearby homes that were
damaged, may be salvageable. Furthermore, Neil says
there's no trace of a bomb.
Standing near the nurse's station, Jack informs
Victor that CS is crawling with inspectors. Victor
grunts that he will "destroy" whoever is responsible
just as a report comes on TV that the disaster was
caused by a "natural gas leak" and that Victor
Newman stands to lose millions.
At J.T.'s place, Nikki has come with him to get
Victoria a change of clothes for when she wakes up.
Spotting the dartboard with Victor's picture on it,
she says, "I should get me one of those" and tell
J.T. never to lie to his mother-in-law. As J.T. says
that when Victoria "wakes up" he's going to take all
the credit, Nikki notices the baby clothes and has a
flashback to when Victoria got upset because baby
clothes reminded her of when she miscarried.
Still on one crutch, Sharon is at home and Nick is
visiting. She tells him that Noah is moody, but Nick
isn't surprised. "He's been through more than any
kid should have to go through." When Neil calls to
say that "natural gas" caused the CS disaster, Nick
orders him to find out who's responsible. Neil says
he already knows - Victor!
With a copy of the report, Victor informs Jack that
the gas caused an electrical short, thus the
explosion caused the collapse, and now the cops have
opened a homicide investigation. Jack berates the
great man. Now look what you've done, how's it feel
being a hero now! "GET OUT!" Victor bellowed.
Katherine and Cane were going over what they know
where her phone rang. Damn reporters calling
already! No comment!
With Neil, Nick asks if he knew Victor was
responsible. Neil's says he oversaw everything and
there was no connection with what Victor was doing.
Nick says Victor knew what he was wrong as the phone
starts ringing with calls from reporters for which
Neil says he has no statement. Besides, don't the
reporters know Victor's daughter is fighting for her
life?
With Nikki and J.T. back at the hospital, David, who
said the other day he was going to stay away, shows
up to tell Nikki that what happened at CS had to do
with "methane drilling" 7 miles outside Clear
Springs. Nikki is aghast; she can't believe it.
On the phone, Cane informs someone to tell the
construction crew that what happened isn't their
fault. Katherine reminds him that Victor's
responsible; he could have cared less if the CS
project failed and she knew all along that he was up
to something. Cane agrees. A man is dead because
Victor wanted Nikki to pay.
Back at the Abbott home, Sharon hears a news report
and Jack says, "All bets are off. Victor will pay."
On the phone, Victor is ordering a report be faxed
to him at the hospital. It all boils down to a
defective gas monitor. Nikki blows in. "You did
this!" she seethes and adding, "I will never forgive
you for this," turned around and said, "I pray to
God you didn't have anything to do with this."
Victor growled, "How dare you!" as she stormed out
making way for Neil who assured Victor that he did
everything by the book; it was an "accident" as Nick
appeared to say he never knew Victor had a drilling
company.
Talking to Victoria with Nick in the room again,
J.T. rambles on about who the baby will look like.
Hooking up with David, Nikki bad-mouthed Victor.
None of this would have happened it if hadn't been
for Victor. When Katherine comes in, Nikki lets out
a sigh of relief and starts bawling. She wants
Katherine to "pray" that Victoria wakes up. David's
phone is ringing. Damn reporters!
Cane drops by to check on Victoria too. J.T. says he
wishes she would "wake up". That's when Cane
realizes J.T. doesn't know that the building
collapsed because Victor was drilling. As Victor
walks in, J.T. asks if it's true. "They're still
trying to determine what happened," Victor says.
Also back with Victoria, Nick tells her of having
run into their old algebra teacher, Mrs. Creech.
She's pregnant! Nick also tells Victoria that he's
recording her favorite show, but doesn't say what it
is. Nip/Tuck? Guiding Light? In comes Victor to talk
with Victoria too then goes outside the door with
Nick to say that if he could change place with
Victoria, he would. Nick says he knows Victor didn't
mean to hurt anyone.
On the sofa with his feet up, Noah is playing a
video game as Sharon moans to Jack that Noah won't
eat or even see Sam. Jack tries to communicate with
the boy; how about going for a walk with Fisher?
Noah is non-responsive.
Neil informs Katherine that he personally checked
everything himself. Clear Springs was "an act of
God". "Victor loves playing God," Katherine retorts.
With Victor in the room, J.T. tells Victoria that
the ants are back! They're behind the baseboard at
the loft. They "march in formation" toward the
kitchen and whistle! While he hasn't sprayed, J.T.
says he's using baking powder to get rid of them.
On his laptop, as Sharon says that Noah has moved
into their room to play, Jack says the blogs are
having a field day with Victor and are saying that
Clear Springs was a "deliberate" act. While Sharon
stood up for Victor, Jack said, "Victor should fry".
Back at the mausoleum, Katherine is going on and on
about that "bastard", Victor. She told Cane she's
going to sue and Victor will need a "army of
lawyers" before she's done.
Nikki returned to Victoria's room in time to hear
Nick say that if Victoria doesn't "wakeup" soon, he
and J.T. will have to go shopping for new furniture.
In is office now, Victor is looking grim. He's
looking at a picture of Victoria when Neil comes in
to say he's got some information from OSHA, but
it'll be weeks before the full report comes out.
Neil adds that investors and business associates are
getting nervous and suggests Victor release a
statement. Victor says no, he's not worried and when
Neil keeps sucking up instructs him to "close the
door behind you."
At the hospital, J.T. is telling Victoria that he
wouldn't want her to "wakeup" in a "plain and dreary
hospital" and so he's brought her some perfume to go
along with the special-ordered PJ's she's wearing.
He's also thinking of having a big picture of
himself put on the wall. Colleen arrives and she too
has a bag of stuff for the patient.
In his office, Victor is with Zapato when Neil comes
in with tea. Neil tells of having spoke with an
engineering supervisor who agrees with the Feds that
an electrical short caused methane gas to explode
and that it was "an accident' due primarily to one
defective gas monitor.
At home, Jack is on the phone telling someone to get
relief checks for the victims released. Then he
tells Sharon there are reporters "camped outside"
Victor's office and that Victor only saved him by
accident. Sharon continues sticking by Victor and
wants Jack to promise that he won't get into it
publicly with him. Jack says he can't make any
promises.
Neil is on the phone screaming "no comment" when
Lily comes in to say there are reporters downstairs.
He brings her up to speed on what's been happening
and she's happy to hear that Cane isn't responsible.
Cane is at the coffee shop where Heather and Maggie
are rehashing what being trapped must have been
like.
Back with Victoria, J.T. asks the nurse about
physical therapy exercises apparently for when
Victoria wakes up. Brad ambles in to tell Victoria,
"You don't want to miss a moment of this pregnancy,"
he hopes the baby has her smile, and that it kicks
her hard so that she'll "wakeup" and come back to
them.
Finding Maggie and Heather at the coffee shop, Jack
gets into it briefly about the dog hair and says
they should have had a search warrant that night
they obtained it with his permission.
With the press conference arranged, Victor informs
Karen that he won't be taking any questions.
Spotting Cane at the coffee shop, Lily says she was
worried about him when he was trapped and wants him
to let her know first before he gets trapped again.
When she asks what he thought about in the ashes,
Cane spews the usual found himself stuff, then
mutters about Lily being so pretty and getting out
of her that she's open to "a lot of possibilities."
Before going to meet Colleen at the hospital, Lily
hugged Cane and gave him a peck on the cheek.
Brad brought stuff for Victoria too. "Vintage rock
and roll" CDs. Taken aback, J.T. says Victoria likes
jazz, not rock. Brad says the opposite; she hates
jazz. When Brad says he read somewhere that putting
ice on Victoria's belly might help, J.T. pulls him
into the hall to say he doesn't want Brad there.
Brad took being told to buzz off well.
Getting coffee at the hospital, Colleen talks to
Lily about wanting a baby brother before Lily
presents her report on being with Cane. The
"conversation was very deep" and before leaving she
hugged and kissed him and he "looked at me!" Colleen
says Lily done good and Lily gives her an invite to
the special event happening at the Indigo. Lily took
off and Brad arrived to tell Colleen that J.T.
kicked him out and how he's so bothered seeing
Victoria laying there like that wondering if she'll
ever wakeup.
The Newman Enterprises breakroom is the scene of the
press conference. Neil and Karen announce there
shall be no questioning the great man. Victor
assures the media that he will investigate what
happened; his heart goes out to the victims and
their families, and he would like for them to pray
for him. Jack is there for the brief statement
following which the reporters went wild. As he
leaves, Victor walks past Jack as if he wasn't
there.
Meantime, Neil praises Karen for the "fantastic" way
she handled the reporters. He adds that Victor not
taking responsibility surprised him and then invites
Karen to the Indigo.
On the sofa at home, Noah has watched the whole
thing on TV. He tells Sharon of having nightmares
and she says nobody is to blame.
In his office with the dog, Victor is outraged when
Jack comes in. "How the hell did you get in here!"
Jack wonders if he's ever going to take
responsibility for what he's done and then praises,
and pets, Zapato for standing by Victor when nobody
else will. Tired of the BS, Victor orders Jack out.
Jack leaves with a clump of Zapato's hair.
Back at the coffee shop, Cane is on the patio when
Heather comes out to invite him to the Indigo. She's
got tickets! Lily comes out too, Heather leaves, and
when Lily asks if he'll go to Indigo with her, Cane
says no.
Sharon called Victor to say she supports him.
Cutting her short, Victor thanked her for calling.
In the waiting room this time, Colleen tells J.T.
that it couldn't have been easy having Brad there.
J.T. says it wasn't, but he's glad she's there.
On his way to see Victoria, Victor had an encounter
with Brad who warned that if anything happens to
Victoria... "You self-serving son-of-a-bitch!"
Victor bellowed, dismissing him on the spot.
Calling Victoria "My Sweetheart", Victor spoke of
when he was a poor boy who made good. He took
partial responsibility for what happened; the part
where he drilled to spite Nikki. Victor said he'll
never forgive himself and recalled when Victoria was
born she made him so happy.
Finding Maggie on the coffee shop patio, Jack gave
her the dog hair he says he happened upon by
accident. Maggie said the hair can't be used as
evidence because it was obtained illegally. Jack
wants her to test it; he wants Maggie to find a way
to skirt the law because, as Jack says, "You care
about the truth."
When Jack left, Maggie tossed the hair into a
trashcan!
Dust off the cobwebs, it's almost show time at the
Indigo Jazz Club for everybody in Genoa City has
heard of him, have his CDs and know the words to his
songs, International Latin singing sensation,
Enrique Iglesias!
In the NE breakroom, Neil wants Karen to wrap up her
work; they're "off the clock" and it's time to
partay! Devon pops in to say he's going too and will
see them later. Before departure, Neil promises
Karen there won't be a repeat of Ice Cream night.
At the coffee shop, Paul is amazed that Maggie knows
the words to an Iglesias song by heart. She's
anxious to leave, but damn, her old gunshot wound
from more than a year ago is acting up. Paul
suggests taking her to the ER, but Maggie declines.
At home, Lauren would rather give Michael a massage
than go out. He wants to go, and says he even has an
Iglesias CD in his car.
Also at the coffee shop, Amber is telling Daniel
that she can't get off work early because the boss
is "a hard ass." Kevin talks about having to work on
the books and mentions to them that Jana's warden
wouldn't let her out on a date.
Somewhere, Cane is on the phone telling Heather that
he'll meet her at the Indigo in twenty minutes.
What, he's not picking her up?
Already at the Indigo, Lily has her feet up; they
hurt. Colleen knows she's bummed about Cane not
bringing her as his date and suggests she forget
Cane, or at least avoid him. Devon arrives with
Roxanne who, when asked why they haven't seen her
since she last dated Devon, says something to the
effect that Devon doesn't let her out very often.
Maggie, Paul, Neil and Karen have arrived and from
this point on it's mostly chit-chat, like Neil
remembering how Dru could be like a "Cat 5
hurricane."
Amber tells Daniel what she thought about when she
was trapped and that Daniel is her "best friend."
Daniel quips he bet she thought about how she
wouldn't be able to shop again, and says Amber
"deserves the best."
Still at home, Lauren wants Michael to watch a DVD
and make popcorn before she finally gives in and
agrees to go out.
Making the scene, Kevin mutters about trying to find
someone to talk with who he doesn't hate.
With Neil, Devon and Karen, Lily confirms she's
thinking about running for student government. Karen
offers to manage her campaign.
While talking shop with Paul, Michael is just now
learning about Victor's role in the Clear Springs
disaster. He gets Neil inside Neil's Indigo office
and starts ripping him as Neil says this isn't the
place or the time. Karen comes in too and Michael
bellows again that his wife was almost killed.
With Paul and Maggie, Heather mentions having lived
once in Lakeview, Chicago. When she goes off, Maggie
asks Paul again if he's going to tell Heather the
truth. Paul says he can't. April won't allow it.
Kevin pins Heather down to ask about getting Jana
out of prison. "We can't just let criminals go
free," Heather says, suggesting that Jana get
herself a good lawyer.
Seeing Lily, Cane says she looks "beautiful" and
likes the dress she's wearing. Heather comes over
and Lily leaves going outside for air. Neil comes
out to ask if she's okay and if her sadness has
anything to do with Cane. Lily claims she and Cane
are just "friends", but Neil knows better.
As Paul talks about Maggie's wound acting up, Lauren
storms outside. Just hearing the word 'gunshot'
reminds her of Sheila.
At long last, the professor hobbles in on a cane,
thanking Kevin for keeping Colleen warm for him.
Nearby, Lily and Daniel engage in the most pointless
of chit-chat as Cane tells Amber, who is wearing the
broach Katherine gave her, that tonight's
entertainment is "for a good cause."
Heather bumps into Daniel and asks if his cell phone
is getting good reception. He thinks it's a "trick"
question and she says he's paranoid.
Back outside, Lauren is in full panic attack mode.
As Michael tries to calm her down Paul comes out to
help. Lauren says hearing Sheila's name, the
gunshot, caused her attack and that Sheila is
haunting her. Michaels says Sheila can never hurt
her again, and as Paul says there was nothing about
kidnapping Sheila that he wouldn't do again, Heather
overhears and runs in to tell Cane that she just
heard some "shocking news."
By the time Maggie got outside, Lauren was fine and
asked that they all pretend it never happened.
At long last Neil announces to the gathered few that
proceeds from tonight's event will go to (drum roll)
the Clear Springs Relief Fund!
Introducing Enrique Iglesias, the music starts and
the camera pans to Michael and Lauren dancing, Kevin
with his arm on Colleen as a worried professor looks
on, Neil sitting with a sad-looking Lily, and Paul
gazing into Maggie's eyes as Heather looks on.
The "concert" over, people are milling around the
Indigo deciding where to go next. Neil tells Karen
how nice it was to see people giving from the heart,
and she says the entire community turned out. As
Heather looks at all the happy people, she flashes
back to hearing Paul confess what he did to Sheila
Carter.
Outside his office while it's being cleaned by a
janitor, Victor is flashing back to when Neil told
him the disaster was an accident.
At the hospital, J.T. and Nikki are making small
talk when a monitor goes into alarm. A nurse zooms
in to say Victoria's BP is elevated, but it could be
the monitor is malfunctioning. She'll have the
doctor check it out.
With Lily now, Cane looks over to see Heather and
takes her a drink leaving Lily alone to gaze at a
happy Neil and Karen.
The professor and Colleen went to the hospital and
brought along a meatball sandwich for J.T. The nurse
steps in to say visiting hours are over, but before
leaving they learn of what happened. Victoria's BP
is okay, but Nikki demands to see Dr. Ryan.
Near tears, Victor orders his limo be brought
around. He's going to the hospital.
The professor goes on and on about how Victoria kept
him going. He says that if you have to be buried in
a pile of rubble, you want Victoria with you. Nikki
tells the story this time of how Victor paid a
skywriter to make Victoria come home.
At the Baldwins, Lauren, Paul, Michael and Maggie
have arrived and no sooner did they come through the
door but what Lauren started talking about how she
wakes up at 3AM in a cold sweat. She doesn't want
Fen-Fen to pick up her vibes and at the same time
says she doesn't want Fen out of her sight. Paul
sputters about how he gets to sleep by watching
infomercials and when Michael goes off to get some
warm milk, Lauren goes into another full-blown panic
attack.
Still with Cane, without being specific, Heather
hints that someone she's "admired for years" may
have done something bad. Cane reminds her that she's
a prosecutor and thus is held to a higher
accountability.
Breathing into a bag, Lauren fears she's going to
die.
Heather reveals having heard that Cane was once a
bounty hunter and he says he was. She's ready to go
home so Cane leaves with her as Lily watches.
Moments later Lily learns that Neil and Karen are
staying behind to close up. They invite her to stay
and help, but she's tired and says she's going home.
Talking to Victoria, before leaving the professor
says he's going to fill-in for her on the committee
to reconstruct. J.T. says he's staying behind
because he wants to be there where she "wakes up."
Victor swoops in, walks right past J.T. without
acknowledging him, and asks Nikki how Victoria is
doing. She tells of the malfunctioning machine and
Victor does not order the machine be replaced.
Asking what caused the attack, Lauren says they just
come on. She keeps seeing in her mind the disaster.
When Paul tells her what caused the disaster, Lauren
in shocked. Drilling? Who was drilling? Victor? Well
then, Victor's to blame for her attacks.
At home, the professor can't shut up about Victoria.
"My heart breaks for that family," he says before
tossing out that life has new meaning and that he
and Colleen must "focus on the good." Then he says
that when he was trapped he prayed he'd get to look
into Colleen's eyes again.
Knock-knock-knock.
It's Lily come to whine!
Neil and Karen are dancing. He's looking in her eyes
and saying that of all the people on the plant, he
found her. One thing leads to another and soon
they're doing the horizontal hoochie.
Lauren goes out for air with Paul on her heels.
Maggie says to Michael, "Lauren is pretty special to
you, isn't she?"
Lily whines; she feels so alone.
In his car, Heather asks if Cane would like to come
up for coffee. Cane says he can't. He's got to get
up early. Heather gives him a kiss anyway.
Oh, oh. At the hospital, J.T. notices that
Victoria's hands are swelling. The sign of the claw?
The deed done, Karen wonders if Neil is "okay". Does
he have any regrets? What will the kids think? Neil
doesn't care what the kids think; he's happy. He
hasn't had sex for so long and doesn't want to live
out the remaining days alone.
On the phone with Danielle, not to be confused with
Daniel, Heather says she wants all the files on
Sheila Carter.
Feeling better, Lauren says she's glad she got
friends like Paul and Maggie when she "melts down."
Picking up the mantra, Michael blames Victor for her
attacks and says he must pay.
Ring-ring. It's Lily's phone! Cane is calling with
an answer to a question about a song she asked about
earlier. Cane looked it up on the Internet and
thought she'd like to know. Good night now.
"He called me! He called me!" Lily squeals and
leaves all giddy. "Your friend is a fruit-loop," the
professor quipped.
Dr. Ryan summons everyone into the hall just to say
that Victoria will be watched more closely and he
won't speculate on the swollen hands. Victor tells
Nikki that he's going to call every specialist in
the world if that's what it takes to save Victoria.
It's a new day and at the prison, Phyllis, wearing
the same teal outfit she had on last time she went
to the office, is preparing to go to work as Jana
asks what it's like working at Newman Enterprises
and alluding again to the fact that Jack is a
sleaze. Not so, says Phyllis, and as the "driver" is
there to whisk her away, once she's gone Jana makes
an appointment with the Chaplin.
At the hospital, there is much concern that
Victoria's BP is 190/40. Not to worry, Victor says,
"She's a Newman."
The Athletic Club is the scene with Paul telling
Maggie that he's going to tell Heather the truth -
today!
Spotting Heather at the coffee shop, Kevin offers to
help with whatever she's working on. It just so
happens she's looking into the mind of the repeat
offender and asks what he knows about Sheila Carter.
Kevin knows that Lauren shot her in self-defense.
The first thing Phyllis did when she got to work was
to call Nick to ask if he's eating right. He is.
Jack slides into Victoria's room just as everyone is
expressing their worry. Told there's a problem with
her BP, Jack asks, "What's that mean?" Dr. Ryan
comes in to say all the tests look normal, he's
ordering another MRI, and leaves with Nikki chasing
after him to demand that he do everything to find
out what's wrong with Victoria, and when he's done
to do it again! Ryan assures her everything is being
done and Nikki breaks down bawling.
Practicing on Maggie how he'll tell Heather, she
responds that learning her father is a PI would be
just the greatest thing a girl could want. Maggie
also suggests that Paul send Heather "a singing
telegram."
Heather is at the Baldwin home and the moment she
mentions Sheila's name, Lauren nearly freaks out.
"Tell me she's not alive!" Lauren relates what
happened with Sheila by way of flashbacks until
Michael comes home to say that the topic is
off-limits and shows Heather the door. He mentions
to Lauren that ADA's "don't make house calls".
Before leaving again, Michael tells Lauren that he's
working on Phyllis' appeal and it looks promising.
But he doesn't want Lauren to tell Phyllis in the
event she just might run into Phyllis today.
At the office, Phyllis informs Jack that she doesn't
want him poking the Victor hornet nest. Jack relates
that Victor recanted his being happy that he saved
Jack and so Victor is fair game. Then Jack brings up
the Chaplin. Is Phyllis seeing him? She says yes;
the Chaplin is helping her deal with life in prison.
With the Chaplin, Jana probes for what he talked
with John about. The Chaplin won't say, but does
give her the name of someone who can, Todd Scheller.
Later, Jana calls Kevin, gives him the name, and
oddly Kevin didn't ask how she's doing.
Still looking into repeat offenders, Heather meets
with Maggie on the coffee shop patio. Of course, the
name Sheila conjures up a flashback for Maggie who
explains how she got shot.
Back at the hospital, Victor, Nikki, Nick and J.T.
are gathered when the monitor goes into alarm again.
A nurse comes in to say it's okay. Victoria's BP is
down to 125/70. J.T. can't take the pressure. He
leaves with Nick chasing after him and at the same
time Victor mumbles a poem. "The stars that shine in
the heavens so bright, keep my children safe
tonight."
Alone with Nick, J.T. recalls when Victoria rubbed
cocoa butter on her belly before saying that three
BP alerts can't be good.
Paul shows up, looks into Victoria's room, and she's
not there! It's okay though, she was taken out for
more testing. When Paul asks what he can do to help,
Victor cuts him off and mutters again that he feels
so disconnected.
Next on Heather's list is Phyllis who also has a
Sheila flashback. When it's over, Heather starts to
leave but Phyllis stops her with the statement that
because she cooperated, Heather should remember that
when her parole hearing comes up.
With his mother at the AC, Kevin tells what Jana
called about and Gloria concludes that the Chaplin
knows why John cut her out of the will and they've
got to locate Todd.
Phyllis suggests that Jack have the Chaplin
participate in the disaster relief effort and then
says there are rumors that he, Jack, had something
to do with John's will. Jack denies it. Later, Jack
takes a call for Phyllis. Something about a Todd
Scheller. Then, who should appear as the next guest
helper? Lauren!
As Victoria is returned on a gurney, Nikki is
ecstatic. The baby was kicking throughout the tests.
Nick wants to call Brad. Nikki says no; she's sure
now that Victoria "will wakeup" and starts bawling
again.
More good news from Jack. He's got three companies
willing to finance victim needs. Plus, he wants to
pick five relief workers who will attend the State
of the State address and get to meet the governor
too! The note with Todd's number is on the floor;
Phyllis scoops it up and crumples it.
At the hospital, Maggie is calling Paul who is back
at the coffee shop. Has he done it yet? No, but
Heather is walking in so it won't be long now.
Meantime, the family is recalling more of things
Victoria did as a kid when Dr. Grant appears. She's
the resident assigned to assist Dr. Ryan and is
fully competent to give them the latest test
results. No bleeding in the brain, no swelling, all
tests are normal.
Kevin makes a call and gets Todd's secretary. She'll
have Todd return the call when he gets back.
And there's more from Jack. Back when there was a
hurricane in a nearby town, John donated 10% of
Wisconsin Jabot sales to the victims. Jack says he
was always amazed how John was so "committed to the
community."
When Michael walks in and says "Hello Jack", Jack
replies, "Baldwin."
Michael's got good news. Phyllis' appeal will be
heard.
With Heather sitting down, Paul says that what he's
about to say will change their lives. When he was a
teenager he liked to screw and got a girl pregnant.
He didn't step up and do the right thing because he
couldn't handle it. He and the girl decided it was
best for him not to be in the baby's life and so she
and the baby moved away. Then, his eyes watery, Paul
spit it out. "You're my daughter."
