At the coffee shop, Kevin informs Michael and Lauren
that he's going to the prison to see Jana; that he's
not giving up on wanting her hand in marriage and
they might as well get used to it.
The hospital finds J.T. having come from seeing the
baby, telling Victoria about what a great kid she's
got, and Brad saying the infant has become "quite a
handful" for the nurses.
Looking in at the baby too, all we see is part of
what looks to be an incubator and Nikki telling
Victor that the baby is kicking its left foot just
like Victoria did when she was a baby.
Elsewhere at the hospital, Phyllis has Summer with
her having returned from fetching an extra thick
milk shake for Nick. She tells him that things could
be worse and that Victoria will soon be out of her
coma getting married to J.T.
In Madison, the Ethics Committee Hearing is about to
start. Gloria, Jill, Sharon, Ben, Daniel and of
course Jack are there. Ben warns Jack to be careful
how he answers questions because he could be
impeached. Jack tells Sharon he knows she's upset
with him, Gloria asks Jill how Sharon can live "with
that animal", and Jill says, "When you lay down with
pigs..." Gloria mentions too that she can feel a
breeze.
The breeze was John blowing in to coach Jack as Ms.
Kwan is ready to grill Jack first about the Jabot
affair. She notes that he acquired Jabot in direct
violation of a signed contract to the contrary. Jack
admits it, but he's distracted by John's sideshow,
then goes on to say that he did what he did because
it broke his heart to see Jabot in such disrepair.
When Kwan asks if he's saying the end justified the
means, a getting snippy Jack asks if she's accusing
him of "violating section 19.5, subchapter 5" to wit
that he used his official office for personal gain?
Kwan calls a recess during which Jill says she can't
wait to testify.
Back at the coffee shop, Michael and Lauren talk
about why Kevin wants to marry Jana. Michael
compares it to a riddle: "How many Kevin's does it
take to change a light bulb? None, unless the bulb
really wants to change".
An upbeat Nikki is taking photos of the baby as Brad
says that soon the child with be eating them out of
house and home.
Jill is worried Jack might walk. When Gloria says he
won't, Jill says she has a connection with the
committee chairman. If that doesn't work, she'll
call a press conference on the steps of the Senate.
One way or another, Jack is going down. The hearing
resumes with Jack saying regardless of what he did,
everyone connected with Jabot was treated fairly.
Kwan moves onto the Clear Springs disaster to which
Jack says he's doing everything possible to help
with relief efforts, and then he blames CS on
Victor. Kwan is not interested in what somebody else
did; she wants to know what Jack did. Jack yaps
about "free enterprise" and another recess is
called.
Nikki put the photos up where Victoria could see
them and went on to yammer about motherhood.
Sharon and Ben conclude that so far Jack is holding
up well as Jill approaches the chairman who knows
her. After some buttering up, the chairman says she
and Gloria will be allowed to testify.
At the prison, Jana reports that her tumor hasn't
grown worse or changed and the doctor says it won't.
Kevin envisions her out of prison soon, riding down
the highway on her "hog". Jana shatters his dream
with the reality that she'll have to stand trial and
she'll be sent to prison. She's never going to marry
him so he might as well accept it. Kevin says she's
being negative. The tumor made her kill and soon
she'll be Jana Hawkes Fisher.
Victor talks to Victoria about when she was a baby
he taught her how to ride. There are pictures too
except the sad part is that Victor didn't take them
because he was too busy working. But Victoria,
she'll be different.
During the break Jack asks how he's doing so far.
Sharon and Ben say not so good. Ben says though if
they could get that tape released it could save
Jack. Ben calls Maggie who says she's examining the
tape and hangs up on him.
Kwan resumes the questioning. Has Jack been
contacted by law enforcement? Jack says he's a
suspect, but hasn't been charged or indicted. Kwan
orders the tape Ben put on the Internet be played
following which she asks if Jack was trying to exert
his influence. As another recess is called, the
chairman announces that Jill and Gloria will testify
next.
After calling Daniel to see how the hearing was
going, Phyllis was told by Nick that the baby has
been placed on a "high frequency ventilator" same as
Noah was. She tells him to go home for a few hours
to clear his head.
When Kevin came back from the prison Michael and
Lauren were still at the coffee shop. He reports
that Jana wants to marry him, but she said no. No
matter, Kevin says if he had it all to do over again
he wouldn't change anything about how he came to
fall in love with her.
During the break John told Jack that his misses the
weather. Apparently there is none in Heaven. Taking
the stand, Gloria identified herself as "VP of
Creative Affairs" at Jabot and that it's founder,
John was a decent and ethical man. Jack bought Jabot
illegally, put Katherine at risk, didn't do what he
did out of love and is a self-serving man whom John
would never have approved.
Still going on about Jana, Kevin has been doing
research showing that nut jobs with brain tumors get
off 19 out of 20 times. Michael says that a court
won't consider Jana's mental state until after the
trial; during the appeals process.
Also at the coffee shop, Paul learns from Maggie
that she has checked out "the chain of custody" and
that she can now get a warrant to search Victor's
home and office.
On the stand, Jill says that Jack was to have
nothing to do with Jabot, but he did. When Jack
tries to object, he's told to shut up. Jill says
Jack put everyone at Jabot at risk and that as a
senator, he is a "travesty".
During another break, Gloria gets in Jack's face to
say she contributed to the legislative process. Ben
reports having checked with the home office and
they're getting bombarded with email. "Nine to one
against" Jack.
Told by Michael that he's addicted to Jana and she's
ruining his life, Kevin says he's going to marry
Jana even if he has to break her out of prison.
And who should show up at the hospital to say she
heard on the news about the Newman baby? Maggie!
Victor was incensed. If she heard on the news, why
was she there asking him how the baby is? When
Maggie says she still has a job to do, Victor rips
her good. He could, if he wants, have her demoted to
a desk job dealing with bicycle safety. With tail
between her legs, Maggie trotted off.
It's Phyllis' grand home coming and there for her to
see is a welcome home sign that Nick says he was too
busy to make. The sitter made it! As for Summer
welcoming mama home, she's up at the main house
"sleeping" with... Zapato? As a song, sounding like
the Dixie Chicks with the words 'precious love'
plays in the background, Nick and Phyllis get busy.
The scene today of a going green benefit and silent
auction, Neil and Karen are at the AC talking when
Cane ambles over to ask if Lily will be attending.
Meanwhile at the Professor's pad, Colleen is telling
Lily that because she's got to stick by Brad who is
sticking close to the baby at the hospital, she
wants Lily to go to the green event with the
Professor. Lily would be honored.
At the hospital, Victor is telling the baby that he
can't wait to teach him things and J.T. is mumbling
about bizarre names he and Victoria were thinking of
giving the boy. Victor thinks they are "dreadful"
names unbefitting a Newman.
Looking in at the baby, Nikki tells Brad that
Victoria will name it when she "wakes up."
Back at the tacky house, Summer has materialized as
Nick says he "properly welcomed" Phyllis home
"twice" and Phyllis promises never to leave him
again. Pulling something out of the diaper bag, Nick
holds up a video game named "Alien Evolution 3".
With the Professor (walking with a cane) at the AC,
Lily eyeballs Cane with Heather as Neil spots her.
Nikki joins Victor as Dr. Webb reports there's no
indication as to when Victoria will wake up, and he
suggests she be moved to a long-term care facility.
Victor says they'll think about it.
Still looking at the baby, Brad tells Colleen that
the boy has "light hair" just like Victoria did when
she was a baby. He knows this - how? Naming the kid
comes up again to which Colleen says Victoria will
do that when she wakes up.
Playing what sounds like Pong with Summer between
them, there's a knock at the tacky house door. Pizza
delivery! No ordinary pizza, it's a deep dish pizza;
Phyllis' favorite.
The word green being thrown around like anyone in
Genoa City cares about the environment, Cane, Lily,
the Professor and Heather jibber-jabber about recent
movies they've seen until Heather spots work by a
famous environmental artist whose book Heather says
is on her coffee table at home! As Heather goes off
with the Professor, and with Neil and Karen nearby,
she talks about some of the items they are silently
bidding on. For example: The one-year subscription
to "Monkey Lovers Magazine". It's a joke that Neil
didn't catch. But what they'll really bid on is the
biggie - tickets to a Jesse Belvin Band concert. (We
did a Google search - there's no such band.)
Neil talks to Karen about Lily having bad judgment
when it comes to men and he's totally against her
being with Cane. Karen says though that like any
child, the more Neil tells Lily no, the more she'll
want Cane.
Victor made a decision. Victoria will stay at the
hospital. Nikki agreed. "She'll wake up soon" and
won't need LTC. Meanwhile, Brad is telling Dr.
Okumura that he wants to know what the baby's blood
type is.
When Victor told J.T. they were thinking about LTC,
J.T. said he'd move into the facility with Victoria
so that he can help care for her! When Nikki
mentioned it would be nice having family around,
Victor suggested why not move Victoria to the ranch!
Why that's a great idea and in fact Victoria will be
moved there tomorrow afternoon!
Looking around the AC's "Founder's Room", Heather
told the Professor about her now dead roommate Macy
having once liked bagpipes and that Macy's parents
were "Wall Street" types who didn't understand Macy.
As Karen leads Neil to the dance floor, Lily tells
Cane that she's worried Neil is jumping into another
relationship too soon.
Still with Colleen looking at the baby, Brad thinks
about the boy's first day at school and the boy's
first car when the doctor returns to say the child's
blood type is 0-positive. Hearing this, J.T. looks
annoyed.
Eating pizza, drinking beer, and with Summer having
vanished, Nick gets a call from Nikki with the news
and she wants Nick to handle making arrangements for
Victoria's return.
Calling Brad a "selfish bastard", J.T. is upset. It
doesn't matter what the baby's blood type is. When
Brad refers to the baby as "my boy", J.T. says that
his blood type is 0-positive too, so there.
His leg hurting from walking so much, the Professor
tells Heather he's going home. Heather says she'll
stay behind and catch him later "in class". Lily
plans to catch a ride with Neil, but Neil can't
leave until he finds out who won the tickets. And
the winner is? Karen!
As they both look at the baby, Nikki tells Victor
"family is the most important thing to me," adding
that she will be there for Victoria "every day" and
"every hour" and by the way, can I move back to the
ranch? Victors mulls it over; what about that...
David? Nikki says she has "no other focus" now and
so Victor gives her the okay.
Saying good-night to Cane, Heather says there is no
chemistry between them and if he's okay with it,
wants to be just friends. Cane is quick to say it's
okay with him.
Phyllis wonders what Nick would want her to do
should they ever be in a Victoria situation. Nick
wants her to make decisions based on facts, not
emotions, to which she replies it's easy to say,
hard to do. So why did she ask? Because it was
Nick's cue to say that when he's gone he doesn't
want Phyllis looking at any other guys. Phyllis
proposes she erect a memorial to him. When Nick
dies, she'll blow up the picture of when Nick was in
high school dressed in drag! Nick wants to make a
pact with Phyllis too. They will live together until
they're 100 and die together in bed.
Still with the baby, Brad is calling him "little
man" and saying that it's very important that he be
given a name now. The name Brad has chosen? The one
that was Brad's father's name? Arthur!
It's a new morning at the tackyhouse. Nick has just
fetched the newspaper when Phyllis comes downstairs.
Summer is still sleeping, and Nick talks to Phyllis
about her having to change diapers for the next few
months. Saying that he's got to check the news
before going to the hospital, Nick fires up his
computer and reads the latest about Victor being a
person of interest in the death of Ji Min Kim.
At the hospital Victor is talking to Victoria;
telling her she's going home; back to her old
bedroom (on the second floor) and that she'll be
surrounded by people who love her. Outside
Victoria's room, Nikki is on the phone with David
and cuts the call short when Victor comes up to her
saying that she's going to tell David about her
moving back to the ranch.
Meantime in his AC room, David is ordering a massage
for Nikki and two dozen long-stem roses.
In Madison, the Ethics Committee wants to ask Jack
more questions. Ben says he might as pack it up
because his days as a senator are over.
Gloria and Kevin are at Jabot and he's telling her
that the EC is calling for more answers from Jack.
It is, according to Kevin, "The Day of the Jackal."
Nikki reports to Nick and Phyllis that Brad and J.T.
have gone home to rest and that she's moving back to
the ranch for Victoria's sake. Phyllis agrees that
by doing this Victoria will "get better, quicker."
Nick reports too that all the arrangements have been
made for his sister's return.
A grumpy Gloria says she should have said worse
things about Jack when she had the chance, and she
can't understand why Todd Scheller hasn't contacted
them. She needs the letter John wrote and wants
Kevin to find Todd.
With John coaching Jack, Ms. Kwan says that the EC
is looking for clarification to Jack's earlier
answers. Was he aware that he broke the law when he
bought and sold Jabot? Jack says yes, but he didn't
try to coerce the D.A. into not pressing changes. A
recess is called.
Talking to Victoria now, Nick wants her to
"concentrate on getting better" and to "wake up" so
that she can "give 'em hell." A nurse comes in to
check on the patient as does Victor who asks how
Victoria is doing, and if Nick has spoken with his
mother. Nick says yes, but he's not sure that Ma and
Pa will be able to live under the same roof. Victor
told him not to worry about it.
Meanwhile, Phyllis is telling Nikki that she
"admires" what she's doing when her phone rings.
It's Daniel calling from Madison with a progress
report. Learning that things aren't going well for
Jack, Phyllis tells Nick that she's got to go to
Madison. She says Madison is "close" by and that
since Summer is at the sitters it shouldn't be a
problem if she leaves. Apparently unaware that
Madison was so far away Jack had to fly there, Nick
says he's okay with her going.
Kwan asserts that Ji Min was Jack's "front man", and
while Jack disagrees he adds that he didn't have
anything to do with his death. When Kwan presses
him, Jack says he doesn't want to "speak ill of the
dead", that he "can't recall" and "can't remember"
whenever Kwan asks him something. At that point Jack
was excused, but he asked to address the committee
and was granted permission - right after another
recess.
In his AC room, David opens the door for Nikki and
presents her with roses. Nikki's in a rush, but
David wants her to stay for an hour. He's arranged
for a massage following which he wants her to have
breakfast and herbal tea.
Gloria has an update on Jack as Kevin says he can't
find Todd. She can't understand why Sharon stays
with someone "so evil".
At the ranch, Victor informs Nick that after much
interviewing, he's found a nurse for Victoria and
there she is now at the door! Her name is "Gabby"
and after meeting Nick, says she wants to see
Victoria at the hospital before Victoria leaves
there.
Nikki had the massage and according to David was
"glowing". He also mentions she's been eating junk
food at the hospital, but he's got some healthy food
for her: Eggs benedict! Too bad, Nikki isn't hungry.
David assures her that he's handling NVP; Nikki
needs to relax. She is somewhat giddy, says she's
missed David, but... she's moving to the ranch.
David's jaw dropped; surely there must be another
way. Why can't she rent an apartment, or buy a condo
for Victoria? Then David makes a concession. Nikki
can spend her days at the ranch, and her nights with
him. Nikki says no and David assumes this means
she's going back to Victor. Nikki says it means no
such thing. Distraught, David worries that he'll
never see her which only confuses Nikki to the point
where she can't think. Before leaving, she bawls
that David is making things worse than they really
are.
At the ranch, Nick is telling Victor that he's
noticed all the groceries Victor has stockpiled are
Nikki's "favorites".
As Jack is saying he's going to "talk from the
heart", Phyllis blows in and Ben has a fit. "What
are you doing here?" he asks, noting that the last
thing Jack needs is someone just out of prison there
supporting Jack. Ben has Daniel take Phyllis
outside.
Nikki is at the ranch when Victor says the ambulance
with Victoria inside is on its way. Moments later
Victoria is in her room and the ambulance is
leaving. Nick will take the first watch.
Pacing, David picks up the robe Nikki was wearing
and leaves a message on her phone that he must see
her; she needs him.
The phone is ringing at the ranch. It's a call for
Victor from - a reporter! Saying he has no comment,
Victor told the reporter "don't you ever call here
again" and hung up.
Jack gave his speech same as his last speech. He's
learned the hard way and wants the committee to
forgive him. The speech over, Jack sits down and
John kisses his head. Meantime, Gloria and Kevin
have been watching the hearing on a computer when
Todd appears. He's got the letter!
The day starts in Madison where Sharon is telling
Jack she thinks the Ethics Committee was "impressed"
with his testimony. Jack isn't so sure, however.
In Genoa City at the Baldwins, Gloria has the letter
from John which proves "he loved me" and she reads
it to Lauren and Kevin.
At the ranch, Nikki reports to Victor that they have
a day nurse, but they're going to need a night nurse
too and she's been going over some resumes.
Meantime at Newman Enterprises, Neil barges into the
conference room and sees David who says he reserved
the room and if Neil had checked he would have known
not to barge in.
The Athletic Club finds Heather and Maggie
discussing strategy as to how they'll serve a
warrant on Victor and moments later they are at NE
with a team of searchers. Neil wonders what's going
on as does David. Neil calls Victor and leaves a
message that the cops are there as David returns to
the conference room where he thinks of calling Nikki
to warn her, but doesn't.
Lauren is impressed; it's been a longtime since
she's seen Gloria so happy. "You meant the world to
John," Lauren says as Gloria sputters that she's got
to address the Ethics Committee. Michael walks in to
say not so fast; she had her chance. Kevin chimes in
to ask where Gloria got the letter as if he doesn't
know.
Agreeing that the letter needs to be seen, or heard
as the case may be, Michael talks about chartering a
private jet to get them to Madison. "Make sure it's
good and big" Gloria quips.
Telling Victor that the nurse is giving Victoria a
bath, and note nobody else is with Victoria today
except the nurse, Nikki says she wants J.T. to make
a copy of the CD with Victoria's favorite tunes on
it, and she's thinking of putting a piano in
Victoria's room. When Neil arrives Victor and Nikki
are surprised to see him. Did they get Neil's
message? Obviously not. The cops searched Victor's
office, took his computer and some files and are on
their way to the ranch. In fact, here they are now!
As Victor grumbles that this is all Jack's doing,
Heather and Maggie ask if they can come in when
they've just served a warrant! Letting them in,
Victor asks if they intend to look under his
comatose daughter's body. Nikki doesn't want them in
Victoria's room at all. Victor blows his top when
he's told that they want the clothes he was wearing
three months ago when he met with Ji Min. Ever the
loyal slave, Neil offers to lead the way to Victor's
closet.
Jack got the word that the EC is favoring him just
as Ben told him that Victor has been served. Jack is
happy because now the focus shifts to the "real
evildoer" and he adds that Victor is "a violent and
vicious man."
Back at NE, David wants to call Nikki, but doesn't.
At the same time Nikki is bitching that the cops are
manhandling something precious that Victoria gave
her as a gift. Then she calls David asking that he
send things from the office she needs including the
mail she says has been piling up.
Victor calls Michael and twice leaves voicemail.
Neil mutters that when Dru was alive they went
through a similar experience and that the cops will
give Victor a receipt before leaving. "How dare they
come into my home like this?" Victor growls. Hey
Vic, they had a warrant - remember?
Putting Nikki's stuff in a box, David finds a love
letter he wrote her long ago. After reading it, he
puts it in the box.
Sharon is worried. With Victor being served, Noah
could find out his grandfather is being investigated
for murder and she can't have that. She and Jack
agree it's time to go home, but Ben says no; Michael
has asked that the EC hearing be extended.
Michael called Victor to say he can't get back in
time to do anything about the search. Let the cops
do their thing and wait for the indictment - if
there is one. "You get back here today!" Victor
bellows.
Already in Madison and at the hearing, Kevin
suggests to Gloria that she get her own jet with the
word "Gloria" painted in pink on the sides. As
Michael is supposedly seeking permission for Gloria
to readdress the committee, she says it better
happen because if it doesn't she'll take out
full-page ads so that the world will know John loved
her.
Michael and Lauren were taking a let's talk about
having sex under the stars break until he finally
got a meeting with the chairman during which Ben
barged in and after some arguing the chairman said
both will address the full committee.
The cops gone, Victor tells Nikki that they took his
computer and precious papers. Nikki wonders; how is Victor going to
work? It's an invasion of privacy and she bets Jack timed the search
to happen when it did. Victor agrees; Jack is "his own worst enemy".
When Jack saw Gloria he snapped. Kevin said Gloria is there to do
her "civic duty" to which Jack told Kevin, "You stay out of this,
Pugsley." And then John appeared. Ben addressed the committee first.
What Gloria is doing is a "personal vendetta" and the EC shouldn't
let her drag things out.
Michael told the EC it has an obligation to find the truth. Gloria
has "vital" new testimony which must be heard. Ben caused a brief
ruckus following which the EC voted to hear Gloria so long as she
doesn't rehash.
Victor is thinking about his chat with Jack about Ji Min and the dog
hair, and when Jack said the cops would come looking for Victor
next, when there was a knock at the door. The box has arrived.
Victor was starting to open it when Nikki called down from upstairs
that the nurse is having trouble adjusting Victoria's bed.
As Sharon is trying to sort out what Gloria could have to say, Jack
says that Gloria is "a bitter, angry witch." Then he wonders if he
can be present during the testimony! Ben says there's no reason he
can't and so as all gather before the EC, John tells Jack he's not
going to like what's about to happen.
David called Nikki to ask if she got the package, but didn't let on
that he knew about the search. Agreeing to sip some tea, as Nikki
goes off to get it Victor takes the note from David out of the box.
Gloria read the letter from John to the committee. In it, John wrote
that he "dreamed of being in bed with her." Ben threw a fit, and
Michael told Gloria to get to the point.
With the note inside a newspaper, Victor is reading what David
wrote. "I will never let you down like your husband has."
Gloria went on to say that John wrote that Jack had helped him write
a new will. But given his mental state at the time, John thought
Jack was talking about his ex wife. Nevertheless, it was John's wish
that Gloria receive half of his estate. Distraught now, Gloria
screams at Jack that he's a self-serving son-of-a-bitch. As order is
being called, John asks Jack, "How could you do this?"
At the tackyhouse, Phyllis has returned from
Madison, and Nick, feeding Summer peaches, says she
was gone "for hours". As for how the Ethics
Committee hearing went, Phyllis say it went well for
Jack, that he took "responsibility" and
"apologized." In summation, Phyllis thinks "the
worst is over."
In Madison, Gloria and Jack are feuding in front of
the committee. He says the letter is fake; she says
it isn't, committee member Kwan says "these are
serious charges" and after another recess Jack will
get to address the EC.
On the sofa with Nick and Summer, Phyllis asks how
Victoria and the baby are doing and all Nick says is
that Victoria is home from the hospital. What
concerns Nick is that his mother and father need to
work out their differences for the sake of everyone.
At the main house, Victor is showing Nikki the note
from David and screaming at her. "Why would you have
a love letter from him brought into my house? How
dare you!" Nikki says it's "our house" as Victor
goes on to suggest she put the note on the mantle so
that everyone can see what she brings into the
house. They're still fussing when Phyllis and Nick
come in. "Did you know your father is reading my
personal mail?" Nikki moaned, as Phyllis got her to
go back to the tackyhouse with her.
The argument about the letter continues during the
break, only now reporters are there! One asks if the
senator will resign as Ben says the letter is a
forgery and Jack backbites Gloria. "You can take the
hooker out of the gutter..."
Blowing his top, Kevin screamed not to talk about
his mother that way and Michael had to break them
up. The implication seems to be that this case is
headed to court so that the truth will come out.
"That woman wouldn't know the truth if it bit her on
the ass!" Jack went on, calling Gloria a "black
widow" who "buried two husbands in the same year."
Taking Jack aside, Ben asks if he did it. Evasive,
Jack won't say.
Sharon called Noah to say she and Jack will be home
soon and she'll pick him up from Sam's. While she's
hanging up, Sharon hears a reporter say, "Five
dollars the guy sinks like the Titanic."
Complaining to Phyllis that Victor read her letter,
Summer keeps stealing the scene from Nikki who
recalls when Victoria was Summer's age. Summer yawns
as Phyllis offers Nikki a place to stay for the
night and says that Victor is only trying to get her
attention.
Nick wants Victor to put aside his differences with
Nikki, and when Victor says the cops were there and
searched the place, Nick says, "They came into our
home? How can they get a warrant with no evidence?"
At the same time Michael is on the phone with
Heather asking how she got a warrant. She said the
audiotape Ben produced gave them cause to get a
warrant, and as we hear a portion of the tape, a
conversation that Michael is well aware of because
he was there, Michael suddenly postpones his wedding
anniversary dinner with Lauren.
Making reservations for four at the AC, Gloria tells
Kevin that she's going to be a very rich woman and
whatever Kevin wants, she'll buy it for him.
Michael and Sharon have a chance to chat during
which they conclude that John and Gloria loved each
other. Sharon accused Michael of having a bias to
which he reminded her that she'll never hear Jack
say he didn't do it, [forge the will] because he
did.
Before the EC, Jack goes on and on that John was a
great man, but his taste in women left a lot to be
desired. Calling Gloria a bigamist, Jack says the
letter is unauthenticated and that Gloria paid
escorts to pose as her sons. She siphoned John's
money to pay off a former husband and he did what
any son would do to protect his family. Again Jack
says that John didn't write the letter. He notes too
that a "family squabble" has nothing to do with
ethics.
With Nick still pushing for his parents to
reconcile, Victor says it ain't gonna happen. Down
at the tackyroom, Phyllis assures Nikki that Victor
still loves her. Sure, he has a funny way of showing
it, but he's the "alpha male". As for her question
whether David and Nikki are serious, Nikki says
they're just friends. But then David isn't Victor
and she can't see herself ever living with Victor
again.
Michael informed Gloria that he won't be making her
dinner, and Lauren said she won't either. Across the
room Ben is telling Jack they need to have the
letter authenticated, only Jack says Gloria will
never give it up and he wants to meet the prisoner
who helped Gloria get it.
Upstairs, Summer is crying so Phyllis goes to check.
Nikki calls David who is still in the NE conference
room to say that Victor read the letter. David is so
sorry; he didn't mean for that to happen. He'll
drive out and get her, if she wants. She doesn't
want. But she is happy when David reminds her that
she still has the key to his AC "suite".
Nikki went back to the main house where Victor said
that Nick was upstairs with Victoria. Nikki mentions
that Summer's birthday is coming up soon and that
the baby should be walking too. She didn't mean to
hurt Victor with the letter and just when Nikki
thinks she's making some headway, he slaps her down
again. Victor doesn't want her in the house when
he's there. She is to make arrangements to let him
know when she plans to visit Victoria so that he can
be somewhere else.
Back home now, Lauren has changed the entire
apartment decor to resemble the casino where he
proposed. Gloria will be gone "three hours" and
Michael can either do the work he said he had to
rush home to do, or he can...
At the AC, Gloria tells Kevin she wants Jack
"stripped of his senate seat." Kevin wants her to go
after the Abbott "mansion" and she says she'll sue
if necessary.
Also home, a grumpy Sharon didn't pick Noah up. She
wants to know from Jack what really happened. Was
Gloria lying? Did Jack take advantage of his own
father? Jack says there's no simple yes or no, but
Sharon knows he did it.
On the sofa with Phyllis, Nick grumbles that his
father is the most stubborn man in the world. Up at
the main house, Nikki informs Victor that she'll be
spending the night at the tacky house.
Gloria is saying she always wanted to be a rich
woman, and knew her sons could take care of
themselves, when Kevin says he wants her to help him
get Jana out of prison. Just then Jeff stops by to
say he hopes Jack resigns in disgrace so long as the
letter is genuine. Kevin and Gloria say it is in
which case Jeff says then Gloria will be able to buy
all the skin moisturizer she wants!
Playing strip craps, Michael is down to his skivvies
but doesn't see himself losing. Lauren says yeah,
she hit the jackpot!
Sharon rips Jack to shreds. He betrayed John and she
can't trust him. Grabbing her coat, Sharon storms
out of the house.
