Show #8803 - 01.07.08 - Director: Jill Ackles

It's a new day in Genoa City. In the Newman Enterprises breakroom Nick is complaining to Phyllis that Victor won't listen to him. Phyllis isn't so sure that Victor is capable of killing anyone and Nick says look at Jack; he's still alive.

Ben shows up at the Abbott home wanting to know what Jack is going to do next. Write a book? Jack tells how Victor called him and that his only plan is to have a plan. Sharon comes down the stairs to say she's going to the office to work on a new Beauty of Nature promotion with Brad!

At her office, Heather spills coffee all over her desk when Daniel comes in. He's got a check for her car repairs.

Gloria and Lauren are preparing for the dinner party with Jeffrey as Lauren says Jeff makes her nervous to which Gloria says not to judge a book by its cover. Lauren wonders too if Jeff will be bringing champagne because she's out, but she can always call "downstairs" to have the store send some up. As Gloria goes off to get the flutes, Lauren snoops into her purse and sees it's full of jewelry. "Stealing jewelry now?" Lauren snaps when Gloria comes back. Gloria says no; she's moving her jewels to a safer place and for Lauren to stop being an armchair detective.

When Michael comes home, Gloria says Jack should have been the one arrested and after she goes into another room Michael notices the jewels and asks if Lauren knocked off a jewelry store before finding Gloria's checkbook and seeing that she wrote a check to Jeff for $50,000. Michael screams for Gloria to get back out there.

Kevin went to the prison to tell Jana he's trying to book the nu-metal group Korn to play at their gothic-like wedding. Moreover, he says Jana will be free soon as he's got a case file chock full of testimony from "experts" that Jana's tumor made her do all those bad things. "Medical dictates legal" he quips, adding he'll be taking the file to Heather.

Daniel told Heather she needs to pace herself by going out to dinner with him. "You're asking me out?" Heather retorts, noting that since she's known him Daniel has given her nothing but grief. Daniel acts as if he's doing Heather a favor. So what if she put his mother behind bars? He wants to take her out. Heather took a pass.

Nick looks through the paper in which there are no less than three articles about Victor. On the front page, the business and the society pages. Phyllis says she knows Jack's not the guilty one. Nick says Jack and Victor both had motive. Phyllis says but the only evidence the cops had on Jack was that dog hair whereas the cops have more evidence on Victor which Nick says Victor thinks Jack tampered with.

Telling Sharon he'll call the sitter to come watch Noah, Jack gets Sharon to agree to meet him for dinner out later. When she's gone, Ben informs Jack that Sharon must love him if she's sticking with him. Jack whines how he almost lost her, and still has his fears as he has a flashback to Brad holding Sharon's hand.

At the coffee shop Daniel is on a computer looking for a job with Amber looking over his shoulder. He says he'd like to find something in "computers or cameras" which reminds Amber of the contest which Daniel says she's crazy if she thinks she can pass herself off a Marina. He also told her to stop thinking about Cane and that if she were to stay disguised as Marina, Cane would eventually find out. Amber was telling Daniel to shut up when Heather strolled in to order a sandwich. Upset, Daniel asked if she's embarrassed to be seen in public with him.

So what's up with the check? Gloria told Michael that Jeffrey wants to buy some "property", that she's helping him, and for Michael to trust Jeff. "He's one of the good guys." The doorbell rings - it's Jeffrey!

At NE, Brad asks Sharon how Noah is doing. She tells of having a great night as a family and asks if he's seen Victor. Brad says no and Sharon says she may go out to the ranch to see how he's doing. Then she asks if he knows how Victoria is? Brad says he's not wanted at the ranch, but from what he knows there haven't been any changes. "We're all praying for her," Sharon said.

Meantime, Jack is leaving a message on Sharon's voicemail when his doorbell rings. It's Phyllis!

As Daniel is again telling Heather she needs to relax, Heather says that's not a luxury she can afford and wonders why Daniel isn't pumping her for information about Victor. Does he think she's not powerful enough to bring someone as big as Victor down? When Heather goes on to say she'd like to learn how to surf, Daniel says if she puts Victor behind bars he'll teach her! Besides, it'll give him a chance to get to know her better. When Heather stepped away Amber told Daniel he's dreaming and to stop drooling over Heather.

Jeff and all are drinking martinis. Gloria wonders where Kevin is and when Jeff says he understands Michael is defending Victor, she says again that Jack is the guilty one. Michaels says he understands Jeff is buying property. "I am?" a bewildered Jeff responds and Gloria jumps in to say he's buying a house. Lauren chimes in to ask what it is Jeff does for a living and Jeff says he's not quite sure, but he is planning to stay in Genoa City "for a long time" and that "fate" brought him and Gloria together.

Saying she's a "strong woman", Brad respects Sharon's decision to stay with Jack as he moves closer and looking into her eyes asks, "Who are we kidding?"

Phyllis told Jack she's happy for him as she beat around the bush until Jack said she prevaricating and wants to know the real reason she's there.

Back at the coffee shop, Kevin comes in to tell Amber and Daniel that Jana may not have to go to trial at all.

Phyllis told Jack that people are saying he set Victor up. She knows what Jack is capable of, doesn't think he'd kill anyone, but... "I did not kill Ji Min Kim!" Jack snapped. All he did was point the cops in the right direction to which Phyllis says is now tearing her husband apart.

Still at the office, Nick interrupts Brad and Sharon briefly. When he leaves, Brad locks the door as Sharon says she's gotta go. "You're a million times more comfortable with me," Brad coos as Sharon says she thought Brad had let his infatuation go. "I think you still love me," Brad replied.

Amber is talking to herself. There are too many Faces of Jabot entries. What if she was to find some computer genius to fix that?

As Daniel tells Heather he's not stalking her, Kevin inserts himself. Jana is not a bad person and he's got a case file he wants Heather to read. She told him that's something Jana's lawyer should be doing as Jana is seen looking at a photo Kevin made of himself and her together.

Telling Sharon he doesn't think she wants to go, and for her not to give up on her happiness, Brad moved in for the kiss and Sharon liked it.

Arriving late to the party, Kevin says he was stuck in traffic. Jeff says it doesn't matter and he can't wait any longer to deliver the news. With champagne all around, Jeff says he's a lucky man. Gloria has agreed to be his wife!

Phyllis went back to tell Nick she spoke with Jack and it looks "bad" for Victor. She's trying to be objective, but... Nick was appalled. He never thought he'd hear Phyllis say such a thing. Phyllis goes on to say that people do things when they're angry and, oh well, she's sorry she brought it up.

As Sharon is asking Brad, "Why are you doing this?" Jack is outside looking for her and he's directed to the conference room just as Sharon opens the door before he can. But Jack can tell the door was locked and both Sharon and Brad are looking guilty as sin.

Nikki is ordering a latte to go from the coffee shop and looking at the newspaper with the big headline "Can Newman Beat Murder Rap" when reporter Lynn Barker hits on her for comment on the case. Nikki says she's much too busy to talk, but Barker says the "town is buzzing" and therefore Nikki must want readers to know she's standing by Victor. She is, isn't she? "How dare you speak to me that way!" Nikki seethes, adding she has no comment. "I don't give up that easily. I will get my story," Barker seethes back as Phyllis comes in to ask how she'll get her story? By digging up some sleazy dirt? "Get out, or I'll have you arrested for harassment," Phyllis warns and she too looks at the paper.

Victor is looking at the paper when Nick pops into the ranch house to say he dropped by to check on Victoria and that there are reporters camped out on the highway. Victor says he knows and that's why he turned off all the house phones.

At Newman Enterprises, Jack asks Sharon if she's up for a drink. She is.

Over at the Baldwin apartment Gloria is proposing a toast to "joy and happiness" as a shocked Lauren, Michael and Kevin look on. After a pregnant pause Michael says, "Now's the part where you both laugh." Jeffrey is dead serious. Getting on bended knee and pulling out a huge rock for Gloria's finger he asks if she'll be his wife. "You know how to make a girl feel loved" Gloria coos before saying yes. "Isn't fifty grand is a lot to spend on a ring?" Michael asks Jeff, noting that he and Gloria have known each other "all of ten seconds."

Kevin chimes in to say he's okay with it, Michael says it's wrong, but Kevin reminds him it's no different than thinking he's crazy for wanting to marry Jana. Lauren wonders how Gloria arrived at her decision so quickly. "Life goes by so fast" was Gloria's response as the party came to an end.

Victor's cell phone rings. "You know better than to call me on this phone," he snaps, hanging up. Nick says he's worried about the strain Victor and Nikki are under as Nikki comes in to say Victor has her "sympathy" and "support". On his way out the door Victor says, "I'm very touched", and then Nick tells Nikki he's worried that Victor is falling apart and doesn't realize it.

Sending Sharon off to the AC alone, Jack pinned Brad down in the conference room. Sharon is "vulnerable" and he doesn't want Brad taking advantage of her. Brad says Sharon's vulnerable because Jack made her that way. Jack assures him that he's going to save his marriage and told Brad point blank to stay away from Sharon. Brad warned that if Jack hurts Sharon he'll have answer to him. Opening the door to leave, Jack noticed the door didn't lock. "How about that?"

Arriving at the AC, Victor runs into Sharon. He says he's not going to hide from reporters and that there's been no change in Victoria's condition. Sharon patronizes him with her belief in his innocence before Victor said he's amazed that she's survived living with Jack. "He's a very selfish man. When he goes down he may pull you down with him."

Coming down from having a look at Victoria, Nick tells Nikki that the nurse has followed her instructions. She's turned the TV off so that Victoria won't hear about Victoria. Nikki told Nick about how Phyllis came to her rescue at the coffee shop; that it's not looking good for Victor and that the case is a "sensational" one. As for Nick's question as to whether she thinks Victor did it, Nikki says she's not going there. They must, as a family, present a united front. Nick agrees, and promises not to talk about the case in front of Victoria.

As Jeff heads for the elevator, he cautions Gloria. She better convince everyone that they are in love. Gloria offers him a half million dollars to leave her alone forever. Jeff laughs. He can make more by marrying her. Gloria bumps it up to one million. Jeff laughs again and as Gloria is calling him a lying son-of-a-bitch, Michael comes out. Are they having their first argument? Gloria covers.

When Phyllis showed up at the main house Nikki was upstairs which gave Nick a chance to tell her the family must appear united.

J.T. interrupted Victor's conversation with Sharon. At the bar, J.T. reports he hasn't found out how the police investigation is coming along surprising Victor somewhat. Hasn't J.T. checked with his cop friends? As for looking into David's background, J.T. says he hasn't found much there either.

With Nick gone back to the office, Phyllis tells Nikki how hard all this is on Nick. Nikki says she's glad that Nick has her, like she has David.

Suddenly J.T. has remembered something about David. He has a spotty credit history, but what yuppie doesn't. "I smell a rat," Victor snorts, ordering J.T. to stay on it; dig into David's marriages; find out how many he's had and why they ended.

Jack arrives to tell Sharon that he told Brad to back off. Sharon has a brief flashback of being with Brad, then reminds Jack that Brad is her friend. Jack says that may be, but he's her husband. Meantime, Brad is looking out the window in Victor's office. He turns to put something on the desk and gazes at the photo of Sharon and Noah just as Nick comes in to tell him to get over Sharon. "She's moved on!" Brad wasn't impressed. "You have no say in her life."

Phyllis made it back to NE in time to find Nick in Victor's office. She suggests they go to the Indigo for some drinks, but one kiss leads to another, the door is locked, and they do it right in daddy's office!

J.T. was next to show up at the ranch so that Nikki could ask how Victor seemed to him. Like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders, J.T. says before prying into what Nikki knows about David. Hadn't he been married twice before Carmen Mesta? When Nikki objects, J.T. says he's only looking out for her. When she asks if Victor put him up to this, J.T. says he's always been suspicious of David.

Back at the Baldwin's, Lauren reports she just got Fen-Fen back to sleep as Michael tells Gloria he doesn't trust Jeff. Kevin pipes up to say Michael should be happy for their mother. "I think I'm going to vomit," Michael says before screaming at Gloria "spill it!" Finally, Gloria breaks down. She says Jeff is blackmailing her; he knows everything, wants it all and then will send her to prison. "Pretty good plan," Kevin quips again, saying he was "drafted" into his role in this mess. Michael isn't so sure that Jeff has proof of the skin cream deal. But if he does it could be curtains for all of them if it gets out they're involved too. No matter, Michael says he's not letting Gloria handle Jeff, but Gloria says she's not letting Michael anywhere near Jeff.

After the sex, Phyllis and Nick agreed it was good and Nick remarked how circumstances can bring people together.

Nikki is pacing when Victor returns. "I guess if you're back I have to leave" she sputters then asks why Victor is using J.T. "I have a right to know who's getting involved with my family," Victor grunted as Nikki added David isn't his problem. "I am bored with this conversation," Victor had just said when Nikki asked, "Is that what happened with Ji Min?" Victor was appalled that Nikki would think he could kill anyone.

At the Abbott home, Sharon is on the phone with Noah when Jack comes home. Noah will be spending the night with a friend leaving them alone. As they swap spit Sharon's cellphone rings. It's Brad leaving a message. He wants to know what Jack told her and that he's thinking of her. Taking Jack's hand, Sharon leads him up the stairs toward the bedroom.

Show #8805 - 01.09.08 - Director: Andrew Lee

At the Baldwins, Michael and Lauren are discussing Gloria and when last we left them it was late at night and Fen-Fen was supposedly asleep. Michael says it was bound to happen that Gloria would be blackmailed. Jeffrey plans to drain her dry. Lauren says yeah, "We should have known", and Michael adds that he's worried he and Lauren will be dragged down with Gloria. "If she'd just been honest, none of this would have happened," Lauren injects, as Michael slams Kevin for being Gloria's henchman and that he should have smelled a rat the day Jeffrey came to town. Lauren wonders now if Michael has a way to get "us" out of this.

At the AC, Jeff orders champagne and joining Jill at her table says he's celebrating his engagement and that Gloria has made him the happiest man in the world.

With Kevin at the coffee shop, Gloria says she's leaving the country. Kevin thinks that's a bad idea. Jeff will find her no matter where she goes. Besides, how will Gloria get past airport security with all those jewels? Gloria says she'll change her face, but Kevin says she can beat Jeff at his own game if she stays.

In his Indigo office, Neil is on the phone. Bad news. His new songbird has come down with the flu. This upsets Neil. He's been advertising all week and says the club will be "packed". Reaching Karen at NE, Neil wants her to sing instead.

Lauren wants Michael to forget about Gloria and concentrate on Victor's case. "And a half-dozen other cases" Michael agrees, as again Lauren tells him not to get involved with Gloria or Jeff. Gloria is an adult. Michael needs to stop rescuing her every other week. Enough is enough.

Gloria is still talking about going from country to country when Kevin suggests she turn the table on Jeff. Other than the time Jeff was in a Liberian prison, Kevin says he hasn't been able to dig up any dirt on him, but there must be a way.

Jill can't believe that Jeff would marry his brother's widow so soon after Wilma's death. Jeff says he loves Gloria. She hit him "like a truck" and assures Jill it won't be a shotgun wedding. He proposed to her. "Bless your heart," is all Jill can say as they clink champagne glasses.

With Karen, Lily tells her "you're a natural" and pleads with her to sing when Neil blows in. "What are you doing here?" Karen asks, before telling Neil she's not interested and Lily goes on and on that Karen will be a "smash" and Karen fears that "dozens will be watching me." After more begging by Neil, Karen gives in.

With Devon at the coffee shop, Roxanne is convinced that Lily will love her friend, Alan.

As Neil informs Karen she's got only 45-minutes to get ready, Lily's phone rings. It's Devon calling with an invite to the Indigo to join him and Roxy to which Lily replies she'll be there. Roxy called Alan who said he was doing homework, but agreed to join her and Devon at the club.

When Katherine joins Jill, Jeff leaves. Katherine notes there is more to Jeff and Gloria than love. "There always is when Gloria is involved," Jill said as Cane joined them and learned that the two best ladies in his life have a surprise. A promotion! Cane is now "Director of Acquisitions" for Chancellor Industries, or is it Jabot? They weren't specific.

In a panic for something Karen can wear, Neil calls Lauren. Anything in a "size 2" will do. Not a problem for Lauren, she'll be right over.

Suggesting they celebrate Cane's new power at the Indigo, Katherine says maybe Heather would like to join him. Um, not this time. Cane says it's family only night.

Apparently able to find a sitter on no notice, or they left Fen alone, Lauren and Michael appear at the club. Lauren's got a rack of dresses for Karen to try on and lets it be known that she once sang with Danny Romalotti.

Looking like he could be Ji Min's son, Alan arrives with Devon and Roxy. Seeing Lily, Alan asks, "Isn't she married?" Devon says not anymore.

Kevin told Gloria she's got to find Jeff's Achilles heel. Flashing back for a moment, Gloria calls to ask what Jeff's next move is and to meet her at the Indigo. He thought she'd be asleep by now, but Gloria says how could she sleep after the bomb he dropped on her?

Michael can't stop talking about Gloria until Lauren tells him to just stop it. Karen is nervous. She asks Lily for some pills before Neil tells her to relax and that Lily has come to like her. Lily met Alan as Jill, Katherine and Cane came in. Lily's eyes of course grew big as did Devon's and Cane wasted no time saying hello and then back to his table with Jill.

When Gloria and Jeff make an obscene entrance, Jill says again there's something not right about that relationship. Seeing them from his table, Michael says, "I think I'm going to be sick" and that their pawing at each other is embarrassing.

Gloria told Jeff it's all for show, but if they pretend to have a good time, maybe they will. She wants a stiff one - a drink that is.

Neil welcomes the crowd. Tonight is a very special night. Please welcome Indigo's "new voice"... ah, cue the male piano player who starts singing. Yes, Karen got cold feet. In Neil's office she's tearful; she let Neil down. Only Neil wasn't let down. Why tomorrow they'll be laughing about this night. And as Neil starts to get hot, as he's maybe hoping for some sex in the office, in comes Lily. Seeing what she interrupted, Lily leaves and Karen worries they upset her. "She needs to know I'm going to continue living my life," Neil declared.

Lily was so upset she had to go outside for some air and to call Colleen who wasn't picking up.

Gloria orders more drinks (with 3 shots of rum) and Jeff knows there's something wrong with them. When she tells him that he has destroyed any feelings she may have had for him, Jeff retorts that they are so much alike; they deserve each other. She calls him sleazy, he calls her hot, sexy and feisty. The blackmail? That's only his security. More drinks arrive. Jeff dumps his into the champagne bucket.

Having watched Lily go outside, Cane rushes to see what's the matter and blurts out that Alan made him jealous. That was what Lily was waiting to hear as they swapped some spit and Lily felt so much better.

On the phone with Kevin, a slurring her words Gloria says, "I've got Jeffrey right where I want him."

And that's it? That's all? That's all!

Show #8806 - 01.10.08 - Director: Sally McDonald

As the longest night continues you may want to hide the kids as things will get pagan-like with sex and drunken grannies. At the Indigo, Michael is still complaining about how disgusting Gloria and Jeffrey are. Gloria is drunk, and Jeff appears tipsy, although he's dumping his drinks into what now looks to be a potted plant. Michael comes over to order Jeff to get Gloria home in one piece and that neither of them better drive. Laughing, Jeff salutes Michael.

Outside, Lily and Cane are kissing when Neil comes out. Sending Cane and Karen inside, Neil wants Lily to tell him that what he saw is not what he thought he saw. Lily says it's exactly what he thought it was.

At the tackyhouse, Nikki has come by wanting to read Summer a bedtime story before telling Phyllis the real reason she's there is because she's "restless" and can't sleep. Phyllis is surprised that Nikki is holding together as well as she is and more so when Nikki offers her a proposition.

At the office, Nick and Victor are talking business when Victor asks if he's aware that his mother thinks he's capable of murder. Nick says Nikki isn't thinking straight and he too is trying to sort through all of what has happened. Victor is taken aback. What's to sort through? Does Nick think his father is capable of murder, or not?

Lily told Neil that kissing Cane was no big deal. He reminded her again of the age difference and Lily says she a "grown woman". But Neil doesn't trust Cane. He doesn't want her to make the same mistake she made with Daniel; he warned her about that guy too and looked what happened. Lily says she and Cane have fun together.

"Did you know I worked my way up from nothing?" a slurring Gloria asks Jeff. "How many people have you stepped on along the way," Jeff wonders, as Gloria says she never hurt anyone who didn't deserve it. Besides, hasn't Jeff stepped on people along his climb to the top? "Who says I've climbed?" Jeff shoots back, adding that blackmail is the only way he could get close to her. Drunk as she is, Gloria knows he's trying to make her let her guard down so that he can move in for the kill. She warns that when she moves in for the kill Jeff won't hear it coming.

Informing Phyllis that NVP will be opening two new spas soon, Nikki asks that she come back to work for the company she helped start. Phyllis is flattered, but wants to talk with Nick about it first.

Nick says he wants to believe that Victor didn't kill anyone. "You with me or not!" Victor bellows as there's a knock on the door. It's J.T who learns from Victor that Nick was just leaving. "Damn right I am," Nick says as he slams out.

Telling Cane that she's "confused", Lily goes on to say that Neil doesn't trust him and fears Cane is taking advantage of her. All Cane can say is that the kiss was great, and she agrees.

Roxanne suggests to Devon and Alan that they go to the coffee shop for lattes and get Lily and Cane to go along too. Meantime, Karen has changed into her "street" clothes and Neil assures her again that "it's all good." Karen manages to get in also that Neil shouldn't be such a dad where Lily is concerned because Lily is "smart" and a "woman". Neil says he's protective of both his kids and then asks Karen to have a drink.

Victor blasted J.T. for talking with Nikki. Doing so shows Victor that J.T. has no loyalty and accordingly J.T. is fired!

Back home, there's no sign of Fen-Fen as Michael says he tipped the Indigo "doorman" to make sure that Gloria and Jeff took cabs. Lauren wants him to put Gloria out of his mind and says she can help by having sex with him. Just as they're getting into it Michael's phone rings. It's Victor! Michael says no, they weren't asleep. Then he tells Lauren that Victor wants to see him, but he won't jump every time Victor says jump. Lauren says he better, so he does.

Nikki is leaving when Nick comes home to say things didn't go well with Victor. "It's not easy being Victor Newman's son." Nikki knows how it is and gives Nick a supportive hug.

In Victor's office, Michael wants to know what was so important at this late hour. Victor wants an update on his defense strategy. He wants to be apprised every step of the way. Michael objects; he doesn't want Victor looking over his shoulder. "Get used to it!" Victor snorted.

At the coffee shop, Amber is on duty. She has bagels and English muffins for the kids to take home for breakfast.

Gloria wants one more for the road as Neil comes over to say he'll call them a cab. "Call me a limousine", Gloria quips as she and Jeff roll in laugher and inform Neil that they are newlyweds. To prove it, Gloria waves the big rock on her finger. When Neil suggests that they get some sleep, Jeff tells Gloria that he'll take her to his place. Gloria likes the idea; they can stop at the bar for a nightcap.

On the coffee shop patio, Cane asks Lily out on a real date later this week. A real date? A really real date? Lily is giddy, of course she accepts so long as Cane promises that this time they are for real. He seals the promise with a kiss which a sad to see Amber observes.

Karen is at the piano when Neil comes over to ask that she play and sing for her. The place is empty. She can prove to herself that she can do it.

With Nikki gone, Nick wants to know from Phyllis was she was there. Phyllis tells of the job offer which Nick thinks is great.

Wanting Victor to trust him, Michael says the surveillance discs were erased to protect the killer and wonders what if the cops can't reconstruct the discs? Victor suggests they hire an expert. Michael says no; that's a job for the cops.

With Jeff off ordering a "triple" for Gloria, she's calling Kevin to say she's only pretending to be drunk, that she's got Jeff drunk as a skunk and taking him to his hotel room.

J.T. wanders into the AC, orders tequila from the bar, and observes David Chow talking with a strange man.

Gloria gulps her drink.

Phyllis says that the job would require her to be away from Summer and Nick. Not a problem, says Nick. She can take Summer to the office! All Phyllis wants to do right now is take Nick's clothes off and he hers and so it starts.

Michael comes home to find Lauren has every candle lit. There's no mention that the baby is there as they start to strip.

Karen is playing and singing as we see Michael and Lauren going down on the sofa, then Phyllis and Nick doing the same. Then Neil moves in for a kiss too.

Inside his hotel room, Jeff tells Gloria that she's so "feisty" and "sexy". Truth is, she's wasted and passes out.

David and the stranger are shown having an animated disagreement as Nikki arrives at Victor's office. "What the hell do you want?" he growls. Nikki wants him to stop being so hard on Nick and his family or he'll end up alone. "That's what I want! Less complications that way. I don't need a single one of you, now get out!" Victor goes on as Nikki goes out.

At long last it's a new day in Genoa City. At the coffee shop Michael and Lauren are asking Kevin if he knows where Gloria is; she didn't come home last night. Kevin says she's with Jeffrey; she called him and that she wasn't drunk, it was an act. Lauren says it was not act; Gloria was "snockered."

In his AC hotel room Jeff is whistling. Gloria is in bed and very hung-over until the urge to vomit hits when she heads for the toilet.

Downstairs, Jack has a proposition for Sharon. He wants to start a foundation in his father's name! It will offer new opportunities in business and education to people who want to turn their lives around much like John did for him. Sharon thinks it's a great idea, but when Jack says he wants her to run it she backs off. She's not qualified. Oh, but Jack says all she needs to qualify is her great personality! Sharon said she'll think about it after the Beauty of Nature tour.

Speaking of which, Brad is making arrangements as they speak. At NE he learns from a secretary that everything is set. Sharon will be flying from Genoa City to Chicago! Don't laugh. They fly to Madison which is closer than the windy city. As for whether Brad will be going to, he says he hasn't decided.

Back at the AC Nick has come through the revolving door and sitting with Jack and Sharon says he just came from dropping Phyllis at the airport. She's off to check out spa locations and without mentioning who'll be watching Summer, Nick says he and Noah will be "batching it". Sharon goes off to check on the tour leaving Nick alone with Jack who says this time he won't mess up when it comes to Sharon. Jack also wants to know what Nick thinks of Sharon running the foundation. Isn't it time she "moved on" from NE? "And away from Brad?" Nick remarks.

Wearing a 'Free Jana Hawkes' T-shirt, Kevin informs Colleen that he's taking his campaign to the streets while at the prison Heather, and Michael's new assistant, Jamison, are visiting Jana. Heather asks Jana how her health is; Jana says except for the headaches not bad; and Heather adds that she's read her entire medical file. When Jamison leaves Heather asks Jana why she shouldn't pursue the case against her? Because a real court would throw it out?

Kevin says a court of public opinion will see that Jana's not a bad person. Michael tells him that banners and posters won't sway Heather and that she's interviewing Jana as they speak. Kevin is surprised and wants to keep talking about Jana but Michael says they have more important things to worry about.

As Jeff tells Gloria what happened, she wonders if they... they didn't... did they? Jeff assures her they didn't have sex, but he does know that she snores. He tells her too that he switched his drinks with hers or dumped the ones he couldn't. "You let me make a fool of myself?" Gloria whines. "You were adorable," Jeff laughs as he tries to convince a crying Gloria that if she'd just go with the flow they could be the perfect couple.

Quick jump to NE where Brad and Sharon discuss the tour, then back to Nick telling Jack that he's happy Jack is happy and for Jack to keep Sharon happy. "Things are not as complicated as people make them," are Nick's words of wisdom for the day. When the subject changes to Victor's guilt or innocence, Nick isn't sure. He is sure though that the ranch has become "a war zone". "You should be used to that by now," Jack reminds him, adding that if Nick needs a friend, "I'd love to come through for you."

Before leaving, Jeff informs Gloria that Valentine's Day would be a great day to get married. As she's coming down the stairs Gloria spots Jack alone and tells him she wants her money or she'll haul him into civil court. When Jeff enters the scene Jack calls him the "evil twin", accuses him of sinking his claws into his dead brother's widow, and warns him to watch his back and hire a food taster.

Colleen reminds Kevin that people think Jana should be put away forever, but that she forgives Jana for trying to kill her because she didn't know what she was doing. Meanwhile, Heather is telling Jana, "You've spoken a lot about Kevin during the last hour." Jana says Kevin's a good man; he love her; Heather believes her - doesn't she? "I'll be in touch" is all Heather will say as she leaves.

Back home, Michael asks Gloria if she got the face cream. Nope. "He tricked me!" Gloria complains, and when she says there will be a wedding on V-Day, Michael roars with laughter. With Gloria gone again, Michael tells Lauren what he's up against. Victor's case, his crazy brother, et al. "Just another day in Genoa City" Lauren sneers as Michael says the time has come to get to know his step-father.

Also at the AC, Paul and Maggie look to be having breakfast when Heather comes in and stops by their table. Paul notices she seems a little tired and confirming as much Heather is shocked when she sees April. "What are you doing here?" Heather squealed when it was obvious that April knows the AC has the best hotel in town and she's checking in.

Brad tells Sharon she's going to New York and Florida and all the big cities when Jack interrupts. Sharon suggested that Jack go with her, but too bad Jack can't leave tonight because he's meeting with his lawyer tomorrow to work out a settlement with Gloria. It can't wait because the lawyer will be out of town for two weeks after tomorrow. Sharon is happy to hear that Jack is atoning for his sins and they settle on the possibility that Jack might catch up with her in Miami.

In Victor's office, Nick leaves a voice mail for Phyllis. He hopes she enjoys being away from the feud.

Back at the coffee shop, Gloria reports to Kevin that it didn't go well with Jeff. She didn't get the face cream. Kevin says it's okay; if at first you don't succeed try, try again. When Gloria tells of the V-Day wedding, Kevin imagines what her vows will be like. "I, Gloria Bardwell Bardwell, take this man..." Then it hits Kevin that the wrong man kicked the bucket. Why yes, that's it. Gloria's got a new plan. She's got to find Jeff's weak spot. Make it look like he's trying to kill her. Kevin says there's a problem with that. Jeff wouldn't do that until they're married.

With Jeff in his hotel room, Michael says he doesn't love Gloria. Jeff admits he's blackmailing her and that there will be a wedding and there's nothing Michael can do about it.

Nick went back to the ranch to visit with a real-live-looking Victoria sans any sign of life support. In pure fantasyland, Nick recalls things that Victoria did while she was at boarding school that he couldn't possibly know about. Bottom line: He wants her to wake up.

Gloria says there won't be a V-Day wedding. It will happen sooner than that. Meanwhile, Jeff is telling Michael not to threaten him with going to the cops because he's an accessory; he wasn't employed as Gloria's attorney at the time of the crime. Twisting the knife, Jeff asks if Michael will be his best man and as Michael slams out, laughs his evil laugh.

Heather said she didn't get the message that April was coming, she doesn't want to speak with April and leaves when April says, "I'm here; get used to it." On second thought, April decides she better go check on Heather as Maggie tells Paul that he should never have told her the truth.

Jack is telling Sharon about settling with Gloria when she kisses him. Brad sees, and he's not happy. Picking up the phone, Brad calls to say that he'll be flying to Chicago, but not on the same plane with Sharon.
