The same evening in Genoa City, Paul and Nikki are still at the AC and he's telling her that if she has any doubts about David she better find out before it's too late. Nikki knows Paul is right, but David is so loyal. He listens to her whereas Victor never would.

As Adam has a flashback to Skye, the poker game continues and the stakes are getting higher. David has a straight, Skye has better, but she folds.

At the AC, Gloria doesn't want to be greedy. She wants Keith the lawyer to arrange it so that charity will get half of everything and she wants it to happen soon. "The good karma train is pulling out of the station" and she wants to be on it.

Meanwhile at the mausoleum, Jeff is telling his lawyer that he earned his half of Gloria's wealth when he sees Jill. How long as she been standing there? Not long enough to hear anything.

Entering Victor's office, Victoria says she called out to the ranch and found out he was at the office.

Brad calls, Skye lays out her hand, and she's the winner this time.

Having a flashback of seeing Jeff at the mausoleum, when Gloria comes back to real time she sees - Esther - who came by for a veggie drink. So, Gloria asks, what's it like waiting hand and foot on Jeff? Esther doesn't like it. Jeff is a pig, and Esther understands why Gloria kicked him to the curb. Say, why is Gloria being so nice to her? Because they have a lot in common. If Esther ever wants to talk, Gloria will always be there for her.

Saying he wants to avoid becoming dead husband #3, Jeff informs Jill that there's no reason for him to hide the fact that he wants a divorce from Gloria. Jill wonders why he married her at all. Noting that Katherine is out playing bridge, and that Esther has the night off, Jeff tells Jill they have the house all to themselves.

Running into Adam at the AC, Sabrina is there to pick up tarts for Victor and Adam starts talking business. He's looking at acquiring a telecom company in Istanbul and should go tell Victor. Sabrina snaps at him to stop trying so hard to impress people. If he'd stop, people might like him more.

Barking orders into the phone, Victor slams it down as Victoria whines that she's "undervalued". Adam gets what he wants when he wants and she gets nothing. Adam is manipulating Victor and she never thought she'd see the day. Victor doesn't understand what her problem is; he gave BON back to her. That's not good enough. Victoria is being walked on. What good is it to talk to him? She's going home. "Don't you walk out on me!" Victor snorts, and it's then that Victoria says, "I quit!"

Paul is impressed that Victoria has made a man out of J.T. Nikki says yes, J.T. is a good man. Too bad Victoria can't be as happy at work as she is at home. Sibling rivalry? Yes, Adam. Nikki says she doesn't trust him.

The pot now at $50,000, David wants to know if Skye will take a check. She will, if it's good. Showing his hand, David has a full house. Looks like he's a winner! Not so fast, Skye has four of a kind!

Esther doesn't like being called the maid. She's a "household manager". Gloria wants to know if Jeff and Jill are sharing the same room. No, "Jill the pill" is in her room and "Freddy the freeloader" is in the guest room.

Eating a snack Jeff made, Jill says it's been a long time since a man cooked for her. And her feet are sore too.

Bringing the sweets to his office, Sabrina can tell there's something bothering Victor. Victoria quit? "Because of me?"

In her hotel room, Nikki is happy to see Victoria. Sorry to hear the bad news though, Nikki guesses that Victor is playing favorites again. Yes, and Victoria quit! "Good for you!" Nikki beams, adding that now Victoria will have more time to spend with the baby. No, Victoria doesn't want more time with the baby; she wasn't cut out to stay at home. So how would she like a job at Jabot? She'd love it!

Learning from Victor that Victoria quit mainly because she couldn't get along with Adam, Sabrina says Adam is obnoxious and abrasive. That may be, but Victor says Adam is highly qualified. He went to Harvard! A poor farm boy, Adam "pulled himself up by the bootstraps." But Victor, the other children are feeling left out. Victoria adores you. "And I adore you," Victor coos to Sabrina.

The game over, Brad tells Skye that he knows she played everyone and that it intrigued him. Skye says she likes Brad, and he likes her, but she leaves without her jacket. Telling Brad that he can't cover the check, David says he's on a losing streak. Brad is surprised. It's only fifty grand. Doesn't David make a lot of money? Can't he borrow it from Nikki? Won't she understand? David says Nikki thinks he's stopped gambling; so that's out. Not a problem, Brad will loan him the money! How much does he need? $100,000? No problem. "I'm your friend," Brad said.

When Gloria enters the mausoleum, she hears Jill moaning. Catching Jeff rubbing Jill's feet, Gloria tells Jeff that he's busted as he asks, "What are you doing here?" It was only a foot rub, not what Gloria thought. Yeah, but he's still Gloria's husband. "Not for long!" Jill blurts out, as Jeff says he's filed for divorce.

Back at the hotel, Skye brags to Adam. She played David well.

Also home, David gives Nikki a cock and bull story about a business meeting that didn't go well. She tells him of Victoria's visit and that Victoria will be working at Jabot. "Looks like one big happy family," David quips.

Jeff doesn't get it. Why did Gloria come by? Didn't she want a divorce? She leaves without telling him about the karma train. Jill is wondering again. Does Jeff love Gloria? He says he doesn't, but Jill thinks he does. Can the kiss he gave Jill change her mind?

Sabrina is going on about Victoria and Victor having so much in common. They bring a passion to their work. She wants to know what if Victoria was to ask for her job back? Victor said she could have it so long as she can get along with Adam. And you know what? Victor now has a craving for sweets. What say he and Sabrina go home. Home? Did Victor say home?

In bed with Nikki, David says she looks great without makeup. But why does he get the feeling they can't work together? If she says the word he'll leave Jabot if that's what it takes for her to set a wedding date. That's not it. Nikki says he knows why. Well, in that case, David says he's going to prove to Nikki that she can trust him.

After some sex, Adam tells Skye she "scored twice in one night." She is too quite the little devil the way she played - what Skye called - those "donkeys". Wait a minute! Did Skye say she got a check from David Chow? Sure enough. After looking at the check, Adam says David is good for it. Skye can tell that David is big-time gambler. Hmmm, Adam wonders if Nikki knows.

A new day in Genoa City, at the coffee shop Phyllis and Nick are talking about last night's sex; how he worked her kinks out, and he's got a meeting with Adam.

At the same time Adam and Skye are saying their goodbyes, Phyllis calls to say that Adam won't be meeting with Nick, he'll be meeting with her in about thirty minutes right there at the AC.

In Sabrina's gallery office, she's milling about when Victor comes in to learn she's interviewing for an assistant! When she says she can tell Victor is full of stress, he says that Adam is showing more promise than the two kids he raised.

On the phone at Jabot, Gloria is telling someone, presumably her lawyer, that one half of her wealth is to go to charity "anonymously" and she wants to be sure the deal can't be undone. When Jill comes in, Gloria lets her know that a "friend" wants to make an anonymous donation to which Jill becomes suspicious because it's usually "shady" characters who make anonymous donations. And by the way, Jill says it's good to see Gloria on the job.

Also at the coffee shop, Colleen is telling Kevin that she's read an advanced copy of the professor's book which she says is about her grandmother's life and that she, Colleen, gave the professor permission to use real names. Now she's thinking it was mistake. Glancing back and forth at each other, Kevin and Jana look worried.

Jill wasn't happy to learn that Nikki hired Victoria without checking with her first. Nikki says she was about to send a memo as Brad surmises it was a good decision, and when Jill leaves lets Nikki know that Jill doesn't like surprises. "She'll get over it," Nikki spat.

With the amazing ability to know what Victor is feeling, Sabrina can also tell he's thinking about Victoria. He is because both his children left the company with such anger. Sabrina recalls that when she was in Italy, Victoria couldn't stop talking about Victor. She adored him, but didn't like living in his shadow. Not to worry though, Sabrina says Victoria will come around in time. She may have left Newman Enterprises, but she didn't leave Victor. Love will bring her back.

In her NE office, Victoria is packing up her junk. All the baby stuff stays. J.T and Nick are there as Victoria tells how she quit.

Kevin wants Colleen to get the book delayed for like "a hundred years". If the book is published it will ruin their lives. Speak of the Devil, the professor comes in as does Jeff, who Jana pinned down and told he stills loves Gloria.

Back at Jabot, Brad informs Jill that he's re-launching the Men's Line now that Victoria is there and can be of so much help given her vast experience. Jill wants to know how he feels about working with his former wife. Brad says there's not much to feel; Victoria is a professional.

After bidding Skye adieu, Adam joins Phyllis who says the BON ad layout has been changed. Adam is not happy. NE and the magazine have a contract.

Sabrina and Victor are kissing when Neil comes in needing his signature on some contracts. Neil notes that the boss and Sabrina look happy before Victor tells him that Victoria is out. She has "moved on". Taken aback, Neil can't believe his ears. Victoria, the "headstrong" woman, Victor's daughter is gone? Victor said it's for the best; Victoria will one day return.

Nick wonders how J.T. feels about no longer going to work with his family. All J.T. wants is for Victoria to be happy. Nick agrees that Victoria will be a great asset to Jabot, and as they recall better days Nick says sometimes he imagines being old and gray and still seeking Victor's approval.

In his office now, Victor is looking at family photos when J.T. comes in to say something happened down at the loading dock, but he, security chief, handled it. J.T.'s timing was good because Victor said he's been thinking it's time for J.T. to move on to another company. J.T. was stunned. Is he being fired? Given the circumstance, Victor said it wouldn't be good to have his daughter's husband heading up security. Confidentiality might be compromised. J.T. said that's nonsense. He's a loyal employee and would never... Okay, Victor is impressed with J.T.'s loyalty. He can stay.

In Victoria's office, Neil says he can't believe it's true. She's leaving? She is, and so does Nick giving Neil and Victoria a chance to recall better days and how Neil always expected to see her running the company. Victoria said, well, maybe now, the position is meant for Neil.

Saying she was wrong to get even with Brad, Colleen wants the professor to call off the book's release. Meanwhile, Jana is pleading with Jeff to give Gloria another chance. She paid for her surgery. Isn't that worth something? According to Jana, Jeff will never find a more loving wife. Why, at this very moment Gloria is working to change her karma. Jana's "buzz words" have Jeff befuddled as Gloria comes in.

Adam is not happy. How can it be that BON is getting squeezed? Because Forrester bought more ads? No, Adam doesn't like it one bit and he's not interested in Phyllis' offer to get what they bargained for in the second issue. He's pulling the BON ad.

Walking into Victoria's office, Sabrina says it looks different and she doesn't know what to say or do. She's sorry things turned out as they have. Yes, Victoria says she's sorry too as Sabrina leaves.

With Victor in his office, Nick wants him to stop Victoria from leaving. Victor doesn't understand. Wasn't it Nick who pushed for Victoria to leave? It was, but Nick has changed his mind. In comes Sabrina. "You're never going to change," Nick tells Victor as he leaves. Alone now, Sabrina springs the good news. Victor has won the bid at another art auction! Oh, she also felt something was "off" when she walked in. Was she right? Victor will only say that he's falling in love with her more and more.

Telling Gloria now that Jeff wants her, Jana leaves when Kevin tells her to stop trying to stop the divorce. Nearby, the professor wants to know what he should tell his publisher. There's also the matter of having to pay the advanced money back. Colleen doesn't care; this is her family they're talking about. No! The professor won't do it. Once he's gone, Kevin comes over to suggest he make a call. No, Colleen says she'll handle the professor.

Jill is mad again. Nikki has hired a new ad agency. She hired David and now Victoria. People might suspect nepotism, and Jill wants to be consulted from now on. Nikki swears everything is ethical. Besides, what about Jill? Doesn't her son work for Jabot?

The lights turned off, Victoria leaves her office for the final time.

Colleen shows up at Jabot with a copy of the book for Brad. Is it bad? It's very bad.

Back at the coffee shop, Gloria wants to know if Jeff really wants a divorce. Apparently, he does.

And who could be the best person to get the job as Sabrina's assistant? Jana!

When Phyllis learns from Nick that Victoria has gone over to Jabot, she's not happy. Now they'll have to deal strictly with Adam.

Arriving a Jabot, Victoria and Nikki hug, as a now in Victoria's old office Victor is looking around. In comes Adam to ask what happened? Victoria is gone. Victor wants Adam to move into her office - now! Would Adam like that? He would very much like that and says to Victor, "Thank you, Sir."

Thanks to Amanda S. for coming to the rescue with this recap.

In the meantime, we are grateful to have Amanda S. filling in. Her reports don't come in as early as Phyllis', but for damn sure it's better than no report at all.

Additional information

RSM's website not looking how Jack thinks it should, he hires publisher Jamie Whitfield to give it a look see and she's enroute. Meantime, Victoria has time off from her new job to bring food to the gang and tell how good things are at Jabot despite having to work with Brad. She also tells of Nikki's wedding date.

More money going out the door, Phyllis has found someone to replace the in rehab columnist, but Sharon says she's already hired a freelancer. To settle another bickering, Jack say's they'll hire both and whoever writes the better column will get published. Later, when Nick rules with Phyllis over a color issue, Sharon has Amber make the choice as Whitfield arrives. Later, Amber raves to Victoria about Whitfield while the others don't seem to know why except that Amber wants to show Whitfield her designs.

At the AC, David tells Nikki that his GA meeting went longer than expected as Victor and Adam come in. Nikki jumps the old man over having "driven" another child away. Victor will only say that Nick made his own decision, and that Victoria had a chance to stay, but chose not to. With no one else to blame, Nikki put it at Adam's feet. That kid gets whatever he wants just like daddy wants Sabrina. Reminding Nikki that her boyfriend is a loser, Victor told Nikki to buzz off.

Later at the bar, Nikki got into it with Adam. Why isn't he out celebrating his becoming next in line to inherit the empire now that Victoria is gone? When David joins the fray and words are exchanged about "hitting the jackpot", Adam gives David the stink eye as if to say he knows more than David thinks he knows, which he does.

At the ranch, Victor reported to Sabrina what happened at the AC as a "run in" and didn't want to talk about it in detail. After dining, Victor presented Sabrina with - a doll! Barbie ponytail #1 from 1959! How did the old guy know it was what she wanted? Why, he remembers Victoria asking him to find a doll for Sabrina's birthday. No ordinary doll, Victor claims to have driven all the way to Philadelphia to get it. Sabrina was impressed, but sad at the same time because their love comes at a steep price. With Sabrina off to bed, Victor stayed behind to confirm a delivery at the gallery. Another surprise for his queen.

In their AC suite, David says Nikki was great; the way she lipped off to the old man and junior. With the Amazon movie script in hand and some travel pamphlets of foreign countries, they ponder where to take their honeymoon.

Coming upon Adam at the AC, Victoria got snippy when he asked how first day at Jabot went. As she left for what she called a "life", Adam pulled out a photo of Hope before calling to leave Victor a message that he'll be moving to the ranch.

At the Jitter Joint, Jana got an update from Colleen. Things with the professor didn't go so well. He's on his way to see Brad, and sure enough the professor wants his book back. Flashing a copy of "Saved from the Ashes", Brad complains the book is about his family and publishing it would put them in danger. Meanwhile, a worried Kevin whines to Michael that the book will affect Jana, blah, blah, and thus Michael should have a court order the book banned. Michael said he'll check the law and just then got a call from Brad summoning him to Jabot. In a flash, Michael was there taking the case and looking at a photocopies of each page of the book which Brad ran off. Brad is claiming libel. Michael will check it out. Brad says the book will never make the street.

How he read the book isn't clear, but Kevin tells Colleen the book is a true and correct statement of what happened. Still, if the book is published, blah, blah.

Also at the JJ now, Amber can't shut up about having met Whitfield and only hours before had asked Daniel to move in with her. Later Jana asked Kevin to convince Daniel to make the move so that she and Kevin can have their digs to themselves. Jana is high as a kite thinking that life is grand, but Kevin isn't looking so sure.

Still at the magazine, Daniel asks Phyllis for her key to the penthouse as he's moving in as a "surprise" to Amber. Phyllis won't give him any mommy knows best speech.

Jamie doesn't like this, she doesn't like that. Things must be changed. Sharon isn't sure there's time. Haven't they been on "deadline" for a week? Seeing there's a problem, Jack pulls Jamie aside. Sure enough, Jamie says he should have been called earlier. Too many "rookies" spoil the magazine. Her day done, as Jamie leaves Phyllis and Sharon sneer. Bitch. Who does she think she is?

Worried about deadline, Nick tells Jack that Jamie's changes may have to wait until the 2nd issue. No deal. Jack reminds Mr. Inexperience that if the mag doesn't sail on the first issue, it won't sail at all. Of course Nick doesn't think Jack knows what he's doing either.

A new day in Genoa City, Victor and Sabrina are having breakfast at the ranch. He thinks she's beautiful. He wakes up happy every morning. Sabrina says he says that every morning, and he's spoiling her. She wants him for herself. She doesn't want to share him. Telling her to go get dressed, when Sabrina is gone Victor calls his voicemail and hears Adam's message that he'll be moving to the ranch.

At Jabot, Brad is on the phone with Andy the bookie reminding him that if he can get David to bet on a sure loser there's $25,000 in it for him.

Home with the professor, Colleen learns he wants her to go on the book tour with him. She does have the "work study" in China, but now that he's forgiven her for passing out the advanced copy of the book she may change her mind.

With Brad now, Michael hints there could be a legal battle until his phone rings. Pointing out there is page after page of libelous material in the book, and that Brad is not a public figure, Michael warns that if his demands aren't met he'll file for a temporary restraining order. Michael leaves only to return moments later to tell Brad that the publisher may be backing down.

On the phone with the publisher's PR department, the professor learns that the tour has been cancelled; the book is on hold and the publisher refuses to take his calls. Upset, the professor tells Colleen that Brad is behind it. She pretty much knows because, after all, her family will be affected if the book is published. Finally, the professor blames Colleen. Her response is that she never meant to hurt him. But the professor trusted her! Thanks for nothing!

Having moved into Amber's penthouse, Daniel hints he may be able to get the rent reduced.

That Victor is happy makes Sabrina happy until he drops the bomb. Adam is moving in! Adam is Victor's "neglected" son. He and Adam need to get to know each other, and Victor hopes Sabrina is okay with that.

On the phone again, the professor is demanding that his agent call him as Colleen goes off to see Brad. Brad is sorry to hear that the professor knows what she did, but she must understand: "Our story can never be told".

With the Amazon film deal done, David leaves as Victoria informs Nikki that she just came from the gym. From the vibes, Nikki can tell she doesn't like David and warns they are not under Victoria's microscope. Victoria says her only concern is that David is good enough for Nikki. Nikki says David's a good man and for Victoria to understand that once they get married there will be no hope of a reconciliation between her and Victor.

Victor wonders why Sabrina is so quiet? Does it have something to do with Adam? Sabrina says it does, but she and Adam are grownups and so they will agree to disagree and she won't disapprove of Adam's moving in. Victor again reminds Sabrina that he's never been a father to Adam, and then calls Adam. "Good morning, Sir!" Adam says before Victor orders him to pack up his stuff and move to the ranch - now!

At the coffee shop, Michael informs a happy Kevin that the book is on hold. For his good work, Kevin rewards Michael with "free coffee forever".

The professor is calling again. Why won't people take his calls?

Brad tells Colleen he had no choice but to have the book killed. Bawling now, Colleen says her heart is broken. Brad wonders if the professor blames her. No, Colleen blames herself; she's hurting people she loves. Oh well, Brad says if she and the professor were meant to be together this crisis will tell. No matter, Colleen will be a stronger person.

Declaring that because Jack is back at the magazine she and Daniel have the day off, Amber wonders how they might spend the day. Playing house? Deciding who will get the mail and who will do the laundry? For now it would seem sex on the sofa would be the better idea.

Adam arrives at the ranch. Victor says he's happy and looking forward to knowing Adam, and then he leaves telling Sabrina to show Adam around. Once he's gone, Adam says he bets Sabrina is thrilled to have him there. "I'm not!" she fires back, and then informs him that she knows who she is; she's an honest person and she hopes one day Adam can say the same.

When Jana overhears Kevin and Michael talking, she asks what it is she should know? Kevin says she should know something about K.C. and the Sunshine Band, but Jana knows he's lying. Okay, if she must know, it looks like the book may be published. That did it. Jana freaked out until Michael told her that he's trying to stop the book and for her not to worry.

Out on the patio, Sabrina finds Victoria. How are things at Jabot? As Sabrina recalls briefly when they were in Paris, she's summoned to the gallery. She bids Victoria adieu only to get a cold shoulder.

Running into Victor at the AC, Nikki says she's sick of fighting with him and proposes a ceasefire. So long as she's serious, Victor will agree.

Back at Jabot, Brad is reminding David that today is payday. David knows, and assures Brad he's got nothing to worry about.

Adam meets Estella the housekeeper! She informs him that the staff is huge. There's a chef on call, maids, grounds keepers, and nearly instant dry cleaning service.

Now at the gallery, Victor tells Sabrina about a delivery that came while she was away. She tells him of running into Victoria and feels they are making "baby steps" toward reconciling their friendship. As for what the remainder of his day entails, Victor says he'd like to spend it looking at her, but he's expecting another delivery.

Back home, Colleen learns from the professor that his days as a writer are over. She picked daddy's side and he'll have to live with it.

Now at the coffee shop, Daniel and Amber report to Kevin and Jana that they are officially living together. To celebrate, they'll all go out on a double-date.

The professor is on the phone again as Colleen paces. When he hangs up, she wants to know what they're going to do. Should she give him space? She will. She's going to Shanghai.

Telling Nikki that she's a great CEO and that she's earned respects, David wants to talk about the wedding. Not now, Nikki has a meeting to get to and she leaves. David's phone rings. It's Andy with a great bet. But David says he's not gambling anymore. Really? It's a sure bet? Well...

Seeing Victoria at the coffee shop, Michael mentions how interesting it is that she got out of her NE contract and that there was no non-compete clause in it. But good luck anyway at Jabot. Adam arrives as Michael leaves. He tells of a happy Sabrina living at the ranch and that she's found an old rich guy. Victoria wonders if Adam is afraid of losing his inheritance and says Sabrina isn't that kind of woman. Then Adam announces that he's moved to the ranch too. Victoria looks stunned.

The second delivery at the gallery was for Sabrina. Opening the package, she finds a diamond ring as Victor rambles on about how he fell in love with her the moment he met her. He doesn't care about the age difference. "Love knows no boundaries," he says before asking, "Will you marry me?"
