On the phone
from Las Vegas, David is checking in with Nikki. His business deal is
looking good. So how about him having dinner with her when he gets
back tonight? Sorry, David says he's been invited out to dinner with
the business people at a fancy restaurant in Santa Monica, but he'll
be back in the morning. Nikki warns him not to lie. If he does, it's
over. He knows that, and she says she still loves him, as does he love
her.
In Las Vegas, at the same casino where David is, Jeff and Gloria have
arrived. She feels lucky on her wedding day.
At RSM, the Professor is on his way to interview Sabrina. He wonders
if Amber's foul mode has anything to do with Daniel, and she says that
Daniel said he'd support her career decision. The Professor doesn't
think that's right. Daniel should have demanded she go to Dublin for
the concert. This also reminds him that Colleen won't even talk to
him.
Talking about Amber, Jack and Sharon are at Indigo when Victor and
Sabrina come along. Hearing Jack mention the name Katy Perry, Victor
asks who Katy Perry is. "You wouldn't know," Jack sneered, a clear
implication that Victor is too old to know Katy Perry. Victor laughed
before shooting back. What will Jack do when the magazine fails? As
they move on, Sabrina says she got the impression that Victor doesn't
like Jack. She's right. Victor said he "loathes" the man, and tries to
avoid Jack whenever possible. Jack is jealous of Victor's success and
even tried to take Newman Enterprises over. Sabrina wonders if Jack
went into business with Nick on purpose. Victor says of course he did,
and goes on to tell how Jack once pretended to be his friend.
At the same time Jack is griping to Sharon about all the things Victor
has gotten away with. Why, his kids barely speak to him, and Victor
would like nothing better than to see the magazine fold.
With Colleen at the coffee shop, Brad wants to know why she didn't
come home last night. Colleen said she stayed over at Lily's, and she
doesn't have to check in with daddy anymore because she's a big girl.
Jeff and Gloria have won big. Thinking she's tired, Jeff suggests they
go have some sex. No way! Gloria says no sex until the ink of their
marriage certificate is dry.
Now Brad's at the Indigo telling Jack that Colleen is back from China,
that he saw the cover of RSM, and wonders if the advertisers are
worried about the image Katy Perry projects. Jack says he's not
worried at all, and when Brad moves on tells Sharon that he'll see to
it that the advertisers are kept happy.
Also there now, the Professor runs into Victor, who says he heard
there was a problem with the professor's book, and for the Professor
to make sure he gets his facts straight in his article on Sabrina.
Flash quickly
to Vegas where David is gambling, and then to Nikki's office where
Katherine is telling her that Jill thinks David is slacking off. Nikki
can't understand why Jill would think that; David's on a business trip
in L.A. Katherine wants to know if everything is okay between Nikki
and David. Making her promise not to tell Jill, Nikki lets it all out.
David wants a divorce. He left her, and then came back. Their
relationship is in limbo. It's not love. She can't trust him.
Arriving at the magazine, Colleen informs Amber that the place looks
"awesome" and asks if Jack is there. He isn't, so Colleen says she'll
wait giving Amber a chance to tell her that the Professor is doing an
article on Sabrina. But when Ambers asks how Colleen and the Professor
are doing, Colleen gets snippy. She tells Amber it's none of her
business that they broke up and to butt out.
At the Little Chapel Of Big Love, Duke asks Jeff and Gloria who they
would like to marry them. Since Liberace is in dispose, and the King
isn't available, Jeff goes with Little Richard. And there he is!
Little Richard himself! He plays piano, and sings, "I got the blues,
I'm gonna get married."
When Jack arrives Colleen talks about her trip to China. It's
different than Genoa City. She adds that she's living with Brad again,
and that she and the Professor broke up. Sharon didn't have a clue.
Yes, Brad acts like she's still in High School and she's thinking of
moving out. Jack figures that won't be a problem because Colleen makes
"good tips" at the AC. Oh no, Colleen doesn't work there anymore,
she's at the coffee shop now. This gives Sharon an idea. Jack wouldn't
be thinking the same thing, would he? He would. Have Colleen move into
the mansion. Sharon likes it. Colleen in, Gloria out by the end of
summer.
Gloria can't believe how much Little Richard sounds like Little
Richard. Sounding like a gospel preacher, LR prepares to do the
honors. Jeff blurts out a few lines, like to have and to hold until...
"or until the money runs out," Gloria adds, before they are pronounced
husband and wife.
Flash to David at the casino as Walter appears.
Now at the
coffee shop, Nikki whines that David is two different people.
Katherine notes that she did rush into the marriage. Yes, but Nikki
thought David had his gambling under control. Victor appears! He
learned from the receptionist where to find Nikki. Did she talk
Victoria into going to the wedding? Nikki says she may have had
something to do with it. Victor thanks her, and leaves as Katherine
tells Nikki that she's her own worst enemy. Nikki agrees. Everybody
told her about David, and they were right.
Reporting to Jack that the interview with Sabrina went well, the
Professor tells of running into Victor, that he wants to see a copy of
the article before publication, that he agreed, but made sure Victor
knew he can't edit it. A few minutes later, Jack and Sharon are asking
Colleen if she'd like to move it. Of course she would! She'll pack her
stuff and be moved in by the end of the day. Getting Colleen alone,
the Professor wants to talk. She says she was planning to, and
reaching into her purse gives him the key to his apartment back. Damn!
Colleen didn't want to talk at all - not ever!
Little Richard put on a show for the newlyweds following which Gloria
asked, "Are you real?" He's real. Gosh, Gloria recalls a time when she
stood in line six hours to see him. As LR presents their marriage
certificate, Gloria wonders how he can marry them. Simple enough, he's
an ordained minister.
Informing the Professor that Colleen is moving in with Jack, and he
telling Amber that Colleen gave him her key, the Professor suggests
that he and Amber go get drunk, and she's in.
Colleen ran over to Jabot to tell Brad that she's moving out, and in
with Jack, despite his apology for treating her like a kid.
Still at the coffee shop, Victor is on the phone ordering someone to
make sure he gets "prime placement" in some store when Sabrina comes
over to say the interview went well.
Plugging a memory stick into his computer, Jack plays the phone
conversation of the woman who gave the Professor some juicy gossip and
then places a call to Paris.
Katherine wants to know if Nikki still loves David. She doesn't know;
she just doesn't know.
Walter is telling David that he's won so much money he can pay him
back and he'll be free. Walter also suggests that David go back to
working for him. Placing another bet, David loses it all just as
Gloria and Jeff walk by. Say, that looked liked David Chow, Gloria
remarks, then has a flashback to the phone call she listened in on. By
golly, that is David Chow!
Show #8927 - 07.01.08
- Director: Grant A. Johnson
At Jabot, with
Victoria overhearing, Heather is being scolded by Jill for making a
lot of what Heather says are minor mistakes. With Jill gone, Victoria
tells Heather that Jill is always in a bad mood and that Heather going
to the wedding didn't help. As Victoria leaves, Heather calls Paul.
He's at the Indigo and suggests she meet him there.
In Vegas with Walter, David is worried. He may have lost more than
money. That woman they're looking at is Gloria.
With Katherine at the coffee shop, Nikki says that David has done
nothing but lie. Maybe it's time to quit. She can't go on like this.
Plus, with the charity ball coming up, Nikki needs to be able to
concentrate. Katherine suggests she take it one day at a time; maybe
ask Victoria to help her with the ball. Maybe, but Victoria is much
too busy being a new mother with a baby and all. Well then,
Katherine's got a plan B. What if Sabrina was the co-chair?
Back at Jabot, Victoria comes into Nikki's office to ask if she's
heard from David. She hopes he's in L.A. Nikki hopes? Does she
believe? Is David gambling again? Why is Nikki putting up with this?
Why doesn't she find out where David is? Is he lying? Get rid of him
if he is. Victoria says she hates seeing a man dragging her mother
down.
David says that if Gloria tells Nikki, he's toast, and he's sure
she'll tell because Gloria is into everyone's business. When Walters
wonders if David is afraid of losing his cash cow, David snaps, "Don't
talk about my wife like that!"
In a suite, Gloria tells Jeff about the conversation she overheard. He
says that's David and Nikki's problem, but Gloria can't stop thinking
about it. She must tell Nikki because Nikki supported her when no one
else would. "Friends don't lie to friends," says Gloria. But Jeff
knows that Gloria is trying to find a way to use the information to
her advantage.
Victoria is
worried about Nikki, and when she's asked to help with the ball, says
she's much too busy, but then says she'll do it. Will she do it with
Sabrina? Yes, she will because the ball is a family tradition. As for
Nikki's question when Victoria became so interested in tradition,
Victoria says since she became a mother.
With Sabrina
at Indigo, Katherine hits on her about helping with the ball which she says
will benefit the arts. Now she's really got Sabrina's attention. Besides
that, doing the ball will help Sabrina to get to know the people of Genoa
City, and they her. Yes! Sabrina is sold. In fact, she'll throw herself into
the project because, "I'm a Newman now. That's what Newman's do."
Walter has found out what room Gloria and Jeff are staying in. David thinks
he should send champagne. Now it's Walter's turn to tell David that if
Gloria tells Nikki, "You're off the gravy train Chow." Get it? Gravy train
chow? David's not laughing. Meantime, Gloria is still thinking about David.
Jeff isn't happy because he was hoping they could shower together. This
isn't what a man wants to hear on his honeymoon. Gloria says she enjoys
being Mrs. Jeffrey Bardwell, but doesn't want anyone beating her to the
punch.
With Paul, Heather grumbles that Jill is busting her chops, thinks Jill
still blames her for losing the Newman case, and for messing up the Ji Min
case. "Some cases don't get solved. That's just the way it is," Paul
asserts. Only Heather has a plan. As a private citizen she's now in a
position to re-investigate the murder case.
Sabrina was next in Nikki's office to say she wants to talk about the ball.
"Look what the wind blew in," Nikki snarls. Sabrina fires back that Nikki is
upset because she's married to Victor now and that she was asked to handle
the ball. Nevertheless, it would seem to Sabrina that Nikki should
reconsider working on it for the sake of the family. Nikki thinks it's all
absurd; she's simply too busy to handle the ball. Still, Sabrina thinks she
should make peace; it would be better for all involved. Nikki won't do it,
but she wishes Sabrina all the luck in the world. Sabrina will need it. The
marriage won't last.
David has
located room #709. Before knocking, he imagines what Nikki will say when she
finds out he lied again. A maid comes along to say the guests in that room
checked out.
With Jeff complaining that their honeymoon was the shortest in history,
Gloria says she must tell Nikki. And when she does Nikki will dump David and
love her forever.
Meeting with
Sabrina now, Jana has great ideas for the ball as Sabrina worries she
won't have a co-chair.
Heather tells Paul that people deserve justice. Will he help her? He
will so long as there's no "canoodling" involved. Okay then, Heather
wants to know where Paul would start if he was investigating the case.
Why, from "scratch", of course. Back at Jabot, Heather orders a
secretary to get her all the files on Ji Min, while down the hall
Nikki is asking Victoria if she's sure she wants to co-chair the ball.
She is! It's a "family responsibility," says Victoria. As for Sabrina,
Victoria says she can take her with one arm behind her back. If
Sabrina wants a war, "bring it on!"
Finding Heather with the Ji Min files, Jill wants to know what's going
on. At first, Heather says she's doing it for Jabot, then adds she's
doing it for Jill too. No one deserves to get away with murder. Jill
melts. She so loved Ji Min. She calls the cops and the prosecutor
"every week", but they've lost interest. Not to worry, Heather says if
there's a way to find out who killed Ji Min, she'll find him.
Sabrina is trying to get it through Jana's head that there won't be
any finger painting on the walls at the ball. The idea is one Jana
came up with based on her favorite teacher who taught art. Just then
Victoria comes in for a coffee to go, says she can't stay, but does
long enough to say she'll co-chair the ball with Sabrina who is made
very happy. Think of it, best friends for so long now "family" working
together. Think about Victoria's demand that she'll take the lead. Oh
no, that won't work. Sabrina's going to do the job she was asked to
do. "And I'm going to help her!" Jana sneers.
Back in town, Jeff and Gloria's first stop was Jabot and Gloria is
ordering Jeff to go tell Jill about them. He does, and Jill slapped
him into next week before saying he wasn't all that good in bed
anyway.
Also at Jabot, Katherine is asking Nikki if she's heard from David.
No, she hasn't, but she's still in love with him and wants to save the
marriage. Is she sure? Yes. So long as that's what Nikki wants, that's
what Katherine wants for her. When Katherine leaves, Gloria comes in.
Can we talk?
David's worried that Gloria is going to tell Nikki. Walker tells him
there's nothing to worry about. So what if he loses the cash cow? He
can always go back to working for Walter. It was then David had a
flashback to seeing Ji Min on the floor, and Walter told him he did a
great job getting away with murder.
Alone with
Jack at the "mansion", Sharon is stressing over some party planned for
their best advertisers until Jack suggests she relax by having some
sex.
In Nikki's office, Gloria drops the bomb. She saw David gambling in
Vegas. Meantime, still in room #709, David is having a flashback to
when he lost money at the roulette wheel and seeing Gloria see him.
Also at Jabot, Jill tells Chloe that she needs Lily back in town -
pronto!
With Neil at the coffee shop, Cane wants to know if he's heard from
Tyra and how long she'll be staying. All Neil knows is that Devon is
playing tour guide, and that he wishes he knew more about Tyra which
he intends to find out when they meet at Indigo later.
Nikki says Gloria is mistaken. David is in Los Angeles. Gloria says
she knows her boss when she sees him. It was David. If there's
anything she can do... no, Nikki dismisses Gloria and then calls David
only to get voice mail and doesn't leave a message.
Talking with Victoria about a 4th of July party at the Abbott pool,
Nick warns her about letting Reed swim in the pool until he's potty
trained. She goes on to tell him about being co-chair of the charity
ball, and Nick wonders why Nikki isn't handling the ball. Well, it's
complicated, Victoria says. And what about working with Sabrina? Nick
thinks it should be billed as a top prize fight as Victoria tells him
that Sabrina went to see Nikki.
When Devon arrives at Indigo, Neil jumps him about how long Tyra will
be staying. Devon doesn't know, but hopes it's a long time because he
likes having the relatives around. Pressing on, Neil wonders if Tyra
doesn't have a job to get back to. All Devon knows is that Tyra is a
wonderful mom to that little girl.
Back in her office, the secretary delivers a bottle of champagne and a
basket of fruit causing Nikki to have a flashback of when she almost
took a drink. Then she tells the secretary to put that stuff in Jill's
office.
After sex,
Jack is upset when Gloria and Jeff come calling to say they got
married again thanks to Jack and Sharon having brought them closer
together. Sharon asks if this means Gloria will be moving back to the
AC. No, it doesn't mean that at all.
Jill is having a flashback of slapping Jeff when Victoria and Nick
arrive on their way to see Nikki. Cane comes by just then to ask if
Jill will have dinner with him later. She will, but worries there's
something wrong. Is he okay? Lily?
Nikki calls David again and this time leaves a message as David throws
the phone across the room.
Speaking with a photographer, Chloe is talking about the other Faces
of Jabot. There are photos of them which Chloe says she'll give to
Jill, and she does after tossing the best ones.
Now Tyra, Ana and Karen are at Indigo where Cane informs Tyra that he
went to Mexico with Lily, he's back and Lily went on to Los Angeles.
She thanks him for picking up the hotel bill and he decides it's time
Tyra told Neil the truth. Neil is still grilling Devon. Why is Tyra in
Genoa City? Devon thinks it would be rude to ask, and for Neil to
imply that Tyra is broke. Neil says he just wants to be sure Tyra is
on the up-and-up and so Devon calls the hotel where Tyra says she
works. Oops. Devon got a recording. The hotel is closed with no plan
to reopen.
And then who should be at the piano singing a religious song? It's
Ana! The crowd goes wild. Neil remarks that Ana is some singer, and
then asks Tyra what happened. Seems Tyra worked her way up to hotel
management, but because she doesn't have an education, things went
bad. She got behind in the rent, and yes, she should have come clean
from the outset. It's then that Cane comes clean too. He paid the
hotel bill. Neil thought that was nice, but Tyra and Ana are his
family; his responsibility.
When Jill got a look at the ugly photos it was decided that Lily is
the only choice. Jill will drop the other faces even though Lily wants
to stay in school and do only local modeling. That's it! Jill's got a
plan. Make Lily the scholar/model icon. Chloe's all for it. She'll
work with Lily and Cane can manage the campaign.
Nikki told Nick and Victoria that David is gambling again. Victoria
thinks it's awful, and at a time like this Nikki should be with
family. Nick can see that David is ruining her life. Nikki knows that
the kids are trying to protect her, but she's not giving up on David.
In the pool house with Fisher, Jeff can't understand why Gloria wants
to stay there. Didn't she say the place smells like dog? No matter,
Jeff says he never stopped loving her.
Jill doesn't like the idea of Chloe overseeing Lily with Cane
overseeing Chloe. So here's how it'll go down. Cane will supervise the
campaign and it's Chloe's job to make the campaign happen.
Neil has
decided he'll let Devon handle Tyra which Devon takes to mean that
Neil doesn't want to see him get hurt. But Devon's happy; he wants to
help them like Neil helped him. Neil agrees that Tyra needs a job and
a place to live. But where? How about his place, Devon recommends.
Heavens no! Neil meant a home and job in Seattle! Just then Karen
returns to say she spoke with Tyra, and that Tyra is "a good woman".
Why not ask her to stay at his place?
Meanwhile, Tyra is telling Ana that they're going home. Ana doesn't
want to go home.
Worried about getting his money, Walter asked David what he plans to
do now? David says okay, he'll do one last job for Walter.
When Nikki said for better, or for worse, she meant it. It's no
different than what happened between Nick and Phyllis. Victoria
concurs; it was what happened with her and Brad until the situation
became impossible. Nikki says she's not throwing David away, but
agrees to cut him loose if things become impossible.
Sharon is grumpy. Gloria and Jeff have money. So why must they live in
the pool house? Going off, Sharon leaves Jack alone to talk with a
picture of John. Yes, Jack wants Gloria out of the house, he did
promise Sharon, but he hears John telling him to let Gloria stay.
Telling Neil she'll be gone in the morning, Neil invites Tyra to stay
with him. She can stay in Lily's old room, and Ana in Devon's. At the
same time Devon gives Ana the good news and now Ana wants to stay
forever.
Coming to tell Cane how the campaign will work, when Chloe leaves Cane
gets the good news too and he leaves Neil to tell Tyra that he, Neil,
will pay her hotel bill until she can get moved in. Ana chimes in to
say that Tyra is a good cook too. Then, calling Neil "Mr. Winters",
Ana says she loves singing at his club. Karen is proud of Neil. He
made a good decision for his son. But Neil fears this will complicate
things for him and Karen. Really? Karen doesn't see it.
Meeting with Jill later, Cane tells her how he's been thinking about
family, and how glad he is to have one.
Back with Jack, Sharon is hot under the collar. Even though Jack
promised that Gloria would be out by the time Noah gets back, he's
going to let her stay on? Yes, he is.
For a special welcoming home gift, Jeff presents Gloria with her
diamonds. The real ones! "You bad boy," an elated Gloria oozed.
He's back! David wonders if Nikki knew where he was. She does. Then
she knows he lied again. She does, but there's therapy David can get.
She believes in him. She loves him. "You have to stop! It's over! Let
me go!" David says, and then leaves.
A hot night in
Genoa City, at the coffee house Nick and Victoria are worried about
their mother. Nick doesn't know what to do. They just can't sit back
and do nothing. Nikki needs them, and she needs to guard her money
before David gets it.
Having followed David to the AC, he can't understand why Nikki doesn't
get it. He wants her to let him go. But why, she wonders. Nothing has
changed.
He's changed!
He's "poison" and he's packing his bags no matter that Nikki says it
won't be that way with her and wants to know where he'll go. "It's
over!" David says again, asking why she can't get that through her
head.
Also at the coffee shop, Adam wants Heather to go with him to the
ranch for a swim. She would, but Victor will be there. No, he won't.
He and Sabrina went out to dinner and a movie. That won't work for
Heather either as she adds that she and Victor have a "history". Not
that kind of history, she tried to put Victor behind bars for murder.
With Victor at the AC, Sabrina says she has to go to the coffee shop
to finish some paperwork with Jana. Nonsense! Victor has a better
idea. Does Sabrina not know that it's Independence Day in America? He
wants to take her to Boston Harbor and from there they'll listen to
music by the Boston Pops.
Now at the AC with Nikki, Nick tells her that Phyllis is still at work
and that he and Victoria told Phyllis about David. Still, Nick's okay
with Nikki staying with David if she wants. It's her choice. Informing
them that David is upstairs packing, Nick says again that Nikki should
come stay with them just as David comes down. "Why don't you just
leave?" Victoria hisses, as Nick instructs David to get his bags and
get the hell out.
More at the coffee shop as Amber tells the Professor that she's
"Restless Amber", and Colleen and Jana are serving customers as
Heather explains to Adam that Victor bribed witnesses and while she
didn't nail Victor, wants to stay away from him. Paul arrives with his
aluminum briefcase, speaks with Heather long enough for her to say she
told Jill about reopening the murder case, and then it's on to talk
with J.T. who is telling Victoria that he helped dig up dirt on David.
Victoria was outraged that J.T. only now is telling her.
Nikki doesn't want David to go, but he's checked out. She'll thank him
one day and he leaves as Victor looks on.
At the ranch,
Adam tells Heather that she can change in the pool house. No need,
she's already got a bikini on. Wow, the night is getting hotter.
Sabrina went to the coffee shop after all where she asked the
Professor how his article is coming along. At the same time, Colleen's
new beau, Morgan, a student of the Professor's, enters looking for
Colleen as the Professor informs Sabrina - without going into detail -
that he's spoken with one of her art professors.
The reason J.T. didn't tell Victoria was that she had a lot going on
at the time. She's still upset, but he's not sorry for being
overprotective of her. When Reed, in the buggy, fusses, Victoria
checks on him while telling J.T. that she wants to be alone. Spotting
Sabrina, J.T. goes over and she thanks him for going to the wedding.
Seeing Paul on the phone, J.T. changes direction as Sabrina sees
Victoria out on the patio. Going up to her, Sabrina is whipped with a
"this is a bad time" wet verbal noodle. Sabrina wants to talk about
the "gala". Oh, okay. Victoria is up for that.
Now Paul is wondering why J.T. would tell Victoria what he did at this
point. Because Nikki wants to stay with David. And in case Paul
doesn't know, David dumped her.
Watching David leave, Victor comes over to ask what's going on. Nikki
says David is going on a business trip. On the 4th of July? "It's only
a holiday in America," Nick is quick to point out, and when Victor
leaves, Nikki thanks Nick for fast thinking on his feet. Well, Nick
warns, it's only a matter of time before Victor finds out what's going
on.
Talking about the ball, Sabrina and Victoria have a good laugh. Why,
it's almost like old times. They talk about having babies too, but
Victoria didn't pick up Sabrina's hint that she's pregnant.
Late at night, the magazine is still open and when Nick returns he
finds Phyllis looking at pictures Daniel sent before Victor appears,
chases Phyllis off, and says there's something going on with Nikki.
Nick doesn't understand why he would care. Because, she's the mother
of his children! Nick says Victor must learn to give up control at
some point. Victor shoots back that Nick must stop playing the broken
record. But Nick says it's none of Victor's business. Wrong again.
Victor ordered Nick to make it his business too. David Chow is a
dangerous man. Victor feels it in his bones.
Alone, Nikki tells a waiter she's feeling "restless" tonight and as
she's seated at a table, along comes Paul.
After a swim, Adam recalls how he thought Hope was an excellent judge
of character. How could she have said such a thing about a man capable
of murder? Heather doesn't want to talk about it, as she wraps a towel
around his neck, and pulls Adam in for a kiss.
Still at the
coffee shop, on the phone with Victor, Sabrina says she'll see him
later at home before telling J.T. of her time with Victoria during
which she could tell Victoria was upset. Asked how she knew, Sabrina
said because Victoria wasn't laughing.
Amber arrives to learn from Jana that Kevin is having a blast in
Dublin with Daniel. There too, Phyllis hears this and seems upset, as
Jana goes on to say she's planning for them to have a double-wedding.
Jana and Kevin; Amber and Daniel.
Sabrina was home when Victor got back. She told of having seen
Victoria and that she wants the family to be reconciled by the time
the baby is born. They hear giggles come from the pool where Adam is
asking if Heather would like to take it upstairs. Heather says he
sounds like he's sixteen, but yes, she would.
As Morgan and Colleen leave, the Professor grumbles to Amber that he
can't see what Colleen sees in that kid, Oh well, maybe Colleen is
getting what she deserves.
Back at the magazine, Phyllis is at her computer photo-shopping a
picture of Daniel.
Nikki is happy that Paul showed up when she needed him. He knows that
it's not easy for a PI to butt out when he's told, but he cares about
her. He's sorry that she's been hurt, but not sorry that David is out
of her life.
After Nick thanks Amber and the Professor for coming into the office
so late, so that he and Phyllis can go to a party, Phyllis is on her
way out when she asks if Amber will turn off her computer. Amber sits
down at it and there's the photo of Daniel being kissed by some girl.
Tired and not feeling well, Sabrina has gone up to bed when Adam and
Heather come in. Heather address him as "Mr. Newman" before going to
change. Alone with Adam, Victor growls. Does Adam know that woman
tried to frame him? Adam does, but says he shouldn't hold it against
her; Heather was just doing her job. That's when Victor made it clear.
Heather is not welcome there.
Arguing with Victoria, J.T. finally says he's sorry. She reminds him
about her not liking it when people try to tell her what to do, and
then says she wants J.T. to keep investigating David and for J.T. to
keep her mother safe.
Thanking Paul for the walk to clear her head, Nikki's at the coffee
shop now where Paul thought she could have something sweet to eat;
like chocolate. She hugs Paul just as David walks in and seeing them
David leaves.
It's July 4th
in Genoa City. At the magazine, Nick reports to Phyllis that the air
conditioning is broken and they've got a party to get to. Phyllis
complains of being tired, and wants to go home to bed. Amber storms in
to tell Nick about Phyllis asking her to shut her computer down and
seeing the photo of a "groupie" kissing Daniel. Phyllis denies that
she did it on purpose as Nick gets a call from Victoria asking him to
join her and J.T. at the Newman pool. Nick says he'd love to. He'll
bring Summer along, but Phyllis won't be able to make it and what
about Victor? Not a problem. Victoria says that daddy and Sabrina have
gone to Boston. What a relief for Nick. "No family drama".
At the ranch, Adam and Heather think too that Victor and Sabrina are
in Boston. It's the only reason Heather says she came back when Adam
called. Inside, Sabrina reports to Victor that she's not feeling well
which is apparently why they didn't go to Boston. No matter, Victor
says being alone with Sabrina is better.
With Chloe at the AC, Cane says he's going to the Restless Style
party. What a coincidence, she is too and suggests that with the price
of gas they carpool. Cane can't do that because he doesn't know how
long he'll stay at the party.
Jack and Sharon are getting ready for their guests. Sharon is happy
that Gloria won't be there, but too bad, Gloria is there and so are
the Baldwin's as Michael comes to complain that there are ants
everywhere. Upset to see Michael, Jack asks if he doesn't have
ambulances to chase and who invited him? Why, Gloria did. She invited
the whole family. Seeing Gloria, Jack asked if she didn't get his
phone text message. She did, but didn't see the part where she was not
invited. And there's Jeff too as Gloria reminds Jack that last year on
the 4th his father was in prison. Jack gave in at that point. They all
can stay.
Now Sharon is pissed. Why did Jack do that? Amber arrives followed
shortly by Cane who says that Jill won't be coming because she's under
the weather, and then asks Amber how Daniel is doing. She lies,
telling him that Daniel sends her email and pictures.
On the phone, Victoria learns that Nikki will be working today as Nick
arrives without Summer. When Victor and Sabrina spot them all gathered
by the pool, he goes over to say he doesn't remember inviting any of
them, and then told Adam again that he is not to bring "that woman"
into his home. Snippy, Adam says it's his home too and that he doesn't
take orders when he's at home. Victor demanded that Adam show some
respect by taking Heather and showing themselves out. Sabrina didn't
like it. She said she knows Victor is angry... damn right he is and
Sabrina better not forget that woman accused him of murder. What
Sabrina wants is for Victor to remember that the family be reconciled
by the time her baby is born.
Back at the Abbott pool, there's talk about exotic food and fruits
available to the guests when Lauren notices the ring on Gloria's
finger. Gloria tells of getting married to Jeff again, and as Michael
says she's a disturbed women, more guests arrive. Sharon is still
pissed. She snaps at Jack for inviting Gloria without even talking to
her. Jack's response, that "some decisions can't be made by
committee", didn't help.
Jana is the next to arrive as Gloria's guest and is pounced on by a
drunk Amber who whines about what Phyllis did. The Professor is there
too and he comes over to say hello. Meanwhile, Jack is on the phone.
Really? Connected to Sabrina? Make sure, call back, and talk only to
me.
Colleen is there too as Jana gets that Amber is hot for the Professor.
Amber complains that Daniel doesn't call or write, that he doesn't
need her, so why shouldn't she have her eye on the Professor, who is
being told by Colleen that she lives at the Abbott home now, and the
Professor saying he's writing for the magazine and there to work
before asking Colleen what happened with them? She doesn't want to
talk about it, and so the Professor accepts the drink Amber offers
him.
Chloe is there too petting Fisher the dog when Cane comes along to say
he didn't know she loved animals. There are lots of thing he doesn't
know about her.
Lauren thinks Gloria is crazy; Michael thinks it's all too weird, and
Gloria tells them to lighten up. By marrying Jeff she got her diamonds
back and she's rich again.
Having made their way back to the AC, Heather remarks that Victor has
some temper, but when Adam says to hell with Victor, she doesn't want
him speaking ill of his father because she's getting to know her
father too and how great it is to have a father period. Adam wants to
go back to the ranch to tell Victor off. Nobody pushes Adam around.
Heather says she'll go back, but only if Adam promises to apologize.
Their conversation forced, Victoria and Sabrina talk about the gala
while Nick is on the phone checking on Phyllis. When Nick is done,
Victor comes over to say he wants to see an advanced copy of the
Professor's article, and that there's something about the Professor he
doesn't like. He also wants Nick to keep an eye on David. Later, as
Victor holds Reed and pats him on the head, everyone smiles before
Sabrina says she's tired and wants to go inside with Victor. The
others will stay outside to watch the fireworks. Quick like a bunny,
Victoria snatches the baby away from Victor.
As Jack talks business, that RSM will be marketed to upscale readers
and advertisers, Chloe says all the more reason to use Lily. Cane
agrees because Lily is now the exclusive Fresh Face of Jabot. When
Jack moves along, Cane informs Chloe that he's impressed with her
pitch for Lily.
Michael can't understand how Sharon would have agreed to let Gloria be
at the party. She says it wasn't exactly her idea, as Lauren asks why
Sharon doesn't get rid of Gloria. Just then Jack makes a speech. His
vision for RSM will make the magazine a huge success. The best is yet
to come, he says as Nick arrives and jumps on him. Jack says Nick
wasn't there and somebody had to make the speech. Upset, Nick goes to
chat with Michael, but all that comes of that is Nick asking where
Lauren is, and Michael saying she's off checking on Fen. Then it's
Amber's turn to tell Nick again about the photo of Daniel on Phyllis'
computer, and Nick telling her to take it up with Phyllis.
Saying he's got to go, Cane is about to leave when Chloe fakes a
sprained ankle. She wants Cane to drive her home. At the same time,
Jeff has Gloria on the pool house bed where they plan to make their
own fireworks.
On the sofa at the magazine, it's the Professor and Amber. He says
she's hot and that Daniel is a fool if he doesn't see it. In fact,
Amber's eyes are "unforgettable" and Daniel's a fool as they kiss.
Oh, oh. Chloe's car is out of gas and there she is with Cane stranded
in the boonies? Can she walk? No.
Back at the ranch, Victoria and J.T. are by the pool waiting for the
regular fireworks to begin. Inside, Victor is cooing about how happy
he is about the progress being made with Victoria. Sabrina quips that
she's a firm believer in change when Adam arrives needing to talk. As
Sabrina goes off, Victor rips into Adam. "Listen to me. Don't forget
who I am and who you are. This is your last warning."
Nick got into with Jack again. If one more advertiser talks to him
about Jack's vision, Nick is going to, well, Jack can finish the
sentence. Jack acts like he doesn't get it. What did he say that was
so wrong? It's not what he says, it's what a does, Sharon points out.
Moments later Jack is on the phone again. Rock solid? Sabrina Newman
in a scandal? Jack orders whoever he's talking with to backup his
files and cover his tracks.
