Remember When - 2001
Nick & Sharon Newman's Dead Baby - part 2
November 2001
Newman Baby Dies!
It must have been
her fate that a higher power would step in at the last minute to rule that
Sharon Newman doesn't deserve to have two miracle babies. Either that or Dr.
Olivia Winters made another medical blunder while assisting with the
delivery of Mrs. Newman's baby girl.
"[The baby] didn't get adequate blood from the placenta," a grim faced Dr.
Winters babbled while handing down the bad news to the Newman family.
Whatever the real reason, the baby Mrs. Newman gave birth to on October 29
is now deader than a doornail.
Unlike other women in Genoa City who have suffered similar fates only to
forget all about their dead babies and move on with their meaningless lives,
Mrs. Newman may never get over it. Her constant sniveling in the weeks ahead
is almost certain to cause a short-circuit in her husband's tiny brain.
It wouldn't come as any surprise if Nick Newman were to quickly grow
tired of a nagging wife bawling and whining about a dead baby. Some men
can't understand why women in these circumstances just can't get over it.
Hell, they can make another baby. The next time, Mr. Newman will make sure,
100-percent Newman sperm is used.
If a paternity test is eventually performed and it is learned that by some
miracle evil-doer Matt Clark was the father, the insult will only add injury
to an already fragile situation that could have an enormous impact on Nick
and Sharon Newman's marriage.
Baby death blame
placed!
In a remarkable display of courage, Mrs. Sharon Newman has placed blame for
the death of her baby squarely on the back of her raffish husband!
Mrs. Newman's charge followed a brief bout of memory loss during which she
had difficulty remembering the events which led up to the premature birth
and subsequent death of a baby girl she'd been carrying nearly nine months.
Although told she can have other babies, Mrs. Newman wasted no time taking
the bull by the horns when she told Nick Newman, "If you hadn't left me last
night I'd still have my baby!"
Perhaps the smartest thing she's done in years, Mrs. Newman's rallying cry
against her antediluvian husband seems to be an indication she's reached an
inescapable conclusion she can no longer be used and abused.
