Paternity test

Concern over the paternity of her dead baby led socialite Sharon Newman to demand days ago that her doctor order a test to prove once and for all who sired the child.

To date there has been no test result and Mrs. Newman seems to have lost all interest in finding out if the deceased evildoer Matt Clark is the father. Newman claims she cannot recall having sex with Clark because she may have been under the influence of drugs that night inside a remote rustic cabin.

"If Sharon was already pregnant when Matt gave her the pills and if he raped her that is one matter. But, if she wasn't pregnant and he raped her, that would change everything," a suspicious Nick Newman said and was later blamed by his wife for the baby's death.

Mrs. Newman put her constant bawling and whining on hold to be the matron of dishonor at a wedding but should return to her sniveling mode soon., however. If Clark did cause her pregnancy there is concern the Newman marriage could be in jeopardy.

Same old song and dance

She put her meaningless life on hold long enough to play Victoria Newman's matron of dishonor but soon shallow Sharon Newman was back to her same old song and dance.

"I feel empty inside," she whined to her goofy husband as the two rehashed the loss of their baby.

The only thing obviously empty is Mrs. Newman's head. Since falling down, and subsequently losing her child, Newman has blamed her husband for the death.

Pleading with his wife to get beyond the past, so that they can move on with their lives, Nick Newman is hoping his wife won't become a royal pain in the butt. While Mrs. Newman says she'd like nothing better it appears certain there are weeks if not months of bawling in her future.

Coffee shop moguls Nick and Sharon Newman have proved again just what a pair of louts they are. Whimpering that life with his shallow wife is stuck in a rut Nick Newman announced there's a good chance he and Sharon Newman may never be able to move on because a dead man might have been the father of his wife's dead baby.

"I needed to know if this was my baby. I asked for a paternity test," Newman said as he continued torturing himself over something that is now a moot point.

Meanwhile, Sharon Newman let it be known she was so depressed after the baby died she doesn't remember much. Under normal circumstances it's hard for Newman to remember her name but she did admit her husband wanted a paternity test done before the baby was born and if the baby was found to have been sired by evildoer Matt Clark it would be put up for adoption.

In Genoa City it is not uncommon for the elite to dump babies onto the adoption market like so much spoiling cabbage. Let the common people barter for these unwanted children.

On the subject of moving on with her meaningless life, and making a new baby to fill the void, Mrs. Newman said, "Don’t hold your breath. Things are not the same for Nick and me."

As if she hadn't heard her own words the screwball then said how much in love she is with her goofy husband and in fact the two had sex the previous night. If, as Mrs. Newman claims, she doesn't want another baby why in hell is she having sex?
