There was at the time a phenomena in Genoa City that most marriages did
not last more than a year and so it was no surprise that Scott's marriage
to Sheila was on the rocks. Scott began sucking around Lauren again
because, like now, she was freaked.
Then Sheila
freaked when Molly began babbling "Ba Be". Worried Molly would ruin
everything, Sheila shipped her back to the farm in Michigan where Molly's
pal, Naomi, just happened to be a retired speech therapist.
So devastated was Lauren, she seduced Clueless hoping to get pregnant
again. Unfortunately, Clueless was shooting blanks that night.
By 1992 both Scott and Clueless were working night and day to snap Lauren
out of her funk. Lauren, virtually picking away at a daisy, selected Scott
as her main squeeze even though he was still married to Sheila. It didn't
matter as Scott wanted Lauren back and officially estranged, all Sheila
was good for at that point was to provide baby-sitting services for
Scotty.
When Sheila found out Molly's speech was coming along she threatened to
have the old woman locked up and when Molly noticed the birthmark on
Scotty hired a plastic surgeon to remove it. When Scott started pestering
Sheila about a divorce she threatened to take the baby and leave town
which put Scott in a position of having to pick one. Lauren, or his baby.
Master PI that he is, Clueless found out that Dylan wasn't Scott's kid and
began snooping around as to whether a baby switch had taken place. Making
matters worse for Sheila, an OB/GYN that Scott had hired to work in the
lab with him fingered Sheila as the same woman he'd treated for a
miscarriage. Dumb dork that he was, Scott said the doctor was crazy and
Sheila told the doctor to leave town if he knew what was good for him.
Things settled down long enough for Scott to tell Sheila he was filing for
divorce. Pissed, Sheila forced Lauren to drive to the farmhouse where she
held Lauren and Molly captive. A fire subsequently was set and, get this,
Yes-Boss and Clueless managed to arrive in the nick of time to save both
women. While Sheila had escaped, firemen nevertheless found an extra body.
Flash to Los Angeles where Sheila got a job as nursemaid to Eric
Forrester's son.
It might sound like one of those all's well that ends well sagas only it
wasn't. Lauren and Scott started bickering over who should have custody of
Scotty. To resolve the matter, they got married!
Believe it or don't, the marriage wasn't a happy one and Lauren soon
turned her lust on Brad Carlton. What none of them could have expected was
that Sheila was planning a return trip to Genoa City.
Speaking of crazy, Yes-Boss thought she was going to get lucky when
Clueless invited her on a ski trip. Too bad, Yes-Boss fell down and broke
her crown. A broken ankle, actually. Then, out of the blue, Clueless
started remembering it was his daughter's birthday! Never mind he hadn't
seen nor heard from Heather, or her mother April in a coon's age, it was
time for April's and Heather's return and that's another story for another
time.
