Why your
support matters

Meanwhile back at home, the grieving process began
for those who believed Katherine Chancellor was
dead. I don't know about you, but if my mother had
an identical twin look-alike, I'd be checking to
make sure it's actually my mother in the car and not
the identical look-alike before I started making the
funeral arrangements. In fact with all the doubles
in Genoa City that should probably be the first
thing the coroner checks.
Poor Nikki, having to see Katherine lying there with
her eyes wide open - she said she hated when people
die like that. She should know, this lady has seen
more dead bodies than the Grim Reaper, including her
father, who she killed, and Bobby Marsino's brother,
who she also killed. In just this year alone she's
seen David, Sabrina and now Katherine. I bet people
get out of her way when they see her coming.
Seems a bit strange for Billy to react so strongly.
He didn't even know Katherine was his grandmother
until just a couple of years ago. You know, after he
married his cousin. Seems to me when he got a call
that his grandmother had been in an accident his
natural reaction would have been to assume they
meant Liz Foster, the only grandmother he ever
really had. Maybe he's just worried about the
inheritance.
And for God's sake, what the hell was Lily doing at
the Chancellor mansion? She is in no way, shape or
form related to these people and had no business
being there. She is so pathetic she cannot resist
any and every chance to inject herself into Cane's
life, no matter how inappropriate the situation. The
man's grandmother had just died and she used the
opportunity to barge into his life once again
despite the fact that he is now a married man and
his wife was standing right there. I don't care if
Chloe got Cane by hook or by crook, the
ex-girlfriend needs to stay the hell away in times
like these.
At least "Katherine's" funeral provided us with a
blast from the past, with visits from former
characters like Nina, Danny, Brock and Mitchell
Sherman. Notably absent from the affair were Jill's
own family including mother Liz and brothers Snapper
and Greg, none of whom, apparently, could give a
damn. Also missing was Katherine's granddaughter
Mackenzie and local town favorite Christine Blair.
Ostensibly it was too difficult for these people to
book a flight back to the states on such short
notice. Hard to believe since Ashley and Victor made
it all the way from France in about 10 minutes.
Naturally Ashley and Victor had to make a grand
entrance and make even Katherine's funeral all about
them. God, those two deserve each other.
But what of Robert the driver? Did they make him
wait out front with the limo? The hired help in this
town always gets the shaft. But at least they also
get the last laugh. I was rather surprised to hear
Sharon mention Mrs. Martinez who has been missing in
action since John died. I thought she disappeared
but apparently she just became invisible. Nikki and
Nick also mentioned Estella so it looks like she's
been re-hired too. Maybe Miguel can make a comeback.
In Genoa City, it's always best to sit out on the
sidelines.
