Why do Nicholas and Victoria have to knock before
they enter the Newman Ranch? Nikki isn't even
married to Victor anymore and just walks right in
during all hours of the day and night. And Nicholas
and Victoria allegedly live just a stone's throw
away from the ranch house proper in outbuildings
elsewhere on the property. Maybe they figure, hey,
you never know who's going to answer the door, what
with the revolving wives and all. They might not
want to enter once they see who it is.
They also must figure it's a given that one of their
parents may just decide to leave town without
warning at any moment. Victor has done this
countless times, so why shouldn't Nikki? The
children have no idea where she's gone, when or if
she's coming back, and could barely register an
ounce of surprise. The abrupt departure from Genoa
City is a mainstay in the lives of the Newman
family. So much so that there must be a contingency
plan in place at Newman Enterprises and other
businesses in which the Newman family are involved.
This helps to explain why none of them ever seem to
be doing any work of any kind. It makes it much
easier for the employees to take over when one of
them decides on a whim they must leave town for an
unknown destination and for an undetermined amount
of time.
Did I hear right? Did Victoria actually refer to her
parents, Victor and Nikki, as "star crossed lovers?"
What sick, twisted, fractured fairy tale version of
Romeo and Juliet did she read in high school?
Correct me if I'm not remembering the story
correctly, but I don't recall Romeo ever telling
Juliet he wished she were out on the streets with
nothing where she belonged, like Victor told Nikki
during their last divorce proceedings. No wonder
Victoria is having problems with JT. Her warped
sense of romance dictates that one's significant
other treat you like something they scraped off the
bottom of their shoe. JT just needs to start telling
her what a gold digging tramp she is, maybe that'll
turn her on.
How come Nick and Victoria weren't invited to
Zapato's funeral? They've known the dog longer than
Ashley, and they didn't even kill him. It's not like
they were too busy doing other things either,
neither one of them were at work or anything. For
that matter, if Victor is such a tyrant and such a
king of the castle, why hasn't he lined up his crack
security staff and shot them all dead for allowing
that crazy Mary Jane anywhere near his dog? What
happened to the "tightened security" he ordered
after he found Mary Jane's things in the potting
shed? What exactly has to happen before the wrath of
Victor is inflicted on his lame security team? He
has destroyed people's lives for lesser offenses
than letting his dog get poisoned. I got a big laugh
out of him yelling at Rafe that he shows no mercy
for people who mess with his family. He's got a
bucket load of mercy for his lame security team who
let people mess with his family.
So it's official, Jimmy's bar really is a "dive."
It's not an annex of the country club, it's not a
nice place to have lunch, it's a "dive." That is how
Paul Williams described it anyway, and we all know
what a good judge of character he is. So if it's
such a "dive" why would Mackenzie, the Avenger for
truth, justice and the American Way, want to own the
place, and why would half the town suddenly be
spending their time there? I know times are hard,
but apparently not in Genoa City. Everyone either
lives in a mansion or at the club. How in the hell
did Jimmy's Dive get to be the hot spot? Is it the
miniature bowling ball machine? I have to admit,
that is pretty cool. Beats the hell out of staring
at that dumb robot they've got over at Crimson
Lights.
There are so many things wrong with Tyra I just
don't know where to begin. Is she bald? She seems to
be wearing a different wig with a different length
every time I see her. And why are half her nails
painted red and half are painted yellow? Who does
that? Did she run out of red nail polish halfway
through and do the rest in yellow? But her
appearance pales in comparison to her behavior.
Rejected by her latest boyfriend, she has now turned
her attentions towards his adopted son, who also
happens to be her nephew. Never mind they aren't
related by blood, she is still his aunt and has been
all his life. And that's a sick thing. With all the
deviant behavior that goes on in this town I thought
I'd seen it all until now. It's like Carol Brady
deciding to make out on the sofa with Greg.
